A firecracker

A firecracker (also known as a cracker, noise maker, banger or bunger) is a small explosive device primarily designed to produce a large amount of noise, especially in the form of a loud bang; any visual effect is incidental to this goal. They have fuses, and are wrapped in heavy paper casing, to contain the explosive compound. Firecrackers, along with fireworks are now thought to have originated in China.

comment:
firecracker as known as fireworks was originated from China. in our country, firecracker has been illegal by the rules of Malaysia. this is because of several cases that make bad effect for citizens such as cause injury, make people bcome suffering from physical disability and also cause dead. i'm lucky bcause i had no injury although i had been playing that firecracker before this. for Malay culture, many people play with firecracker during Eid Mubarak same goes to Chinese culture. but for Chinese culture, only their own firecracker is allowed because of their tradition during Chinese New Year. i am very agree with government's effort by illegal citizen from play with firecracker because there are many bad effect than good effect.

Chicken pox

Chickenpox is a highly contagious illness caused by primary infection with varicella zoster virus (VZV). It generally begins with conjunctival and catarrhal symptoms and then characteristic spots appearing in two or three waves, mainly on the body and head rather than the hands and becoming itchy raw pockmarks, small open sores which heal mostly without scarring.
Chickenpox has a 10-21 day incubation period and is spread easily through aerosolized droplets from the nasopharynx of ill individuals or through direct contact with secretions from the rash. Following primary infection there is usually lifelong protective immunity from further episodes of chickenpox.
Chickenpox is rarely fatal, although it is generally more severe in adults than in children. Pregnant women and those with a suppressed immune system are at highest risk of serious complications. The most common late complication of chicken pox is shingles, caused by reactivation of the varicella zoster virus decades after the initial episode of chickenpox.

comment:

Chicken pox is one of a disease that can be spread from one to another person. One of the simptoms is there is red spots appear on your body. Unfortunately, now i'm suffering this disease. After i had been checking with the doctor, i was given 9days MC and i was advised to have a rest at my hometown. However because my hometown is quite far from here, in Kedah, i was decided to stay here. But i had been quarantine in another room and not allowed to go to class to avoid from spread the disease to other people. Someone who had been in this disease usually has long time protective immunity to be attacted again. I hope i'll get well soon because we are getting nearer to final exam soon and i'm so bored being quarantine...

STOREKEEPER DIES IN ATTACK AT TAMAN SENTOSA, KLANG
SHAH ALAM, Oct 12 (Bernama) -- A storekeeper was found dead with several stab and slash wounds on him in Jalan Hulubalang 10, Taman Sentosa, Klang, early today.
The victim, identified as G. Mogan, 27, was lying in a pool of blood by the roadside when found by residents at 7am.
Klang district police chief ACP Mohammad Mat Yusop, when contacted, said the residents heard a commotion outside their homes at 6am and after they went out to check found Mogan lying on the road motionless.
"The victim is believed to have been attacked by a group of men after sending his girlfriend home," he said, adding that 11 stab and slash wounds were found on his chest, back and head.
Mogan's body was found about 200 metres away from his girlfriend house and police initial investigation showed that revenge could be the motive for the attack.

I have read this article today. I feel very afraid and worry with present situation. Many people like to solve their problem with the simple way only. Design to the violence preference as hit, murder and others. If this state is continued, whether we will be safe?

assalamualakum..
firstly,i would like apologise to madam because very late to post the article.
So,I had already read an articles about friends. The article written by David Leonhardt. In the article tell us a few common reasons why people become friends. He also said we should choose our friends very carefully. In the article also list the characteristics of true friends. True friends should encourage us to live our dream, support us toward our goals, sympathize for our losses and help us find a silver lining and also build your self-esteem. Besides that, it also give tips to make friendships never last. To make it, we should give commitment to the relationship. Try to be a good friend. Be a good listener and always support each others. A good friendship is an ongoing dance of give and take. In the article also said in a healthy friendship there’s a lot of laughter. Let it loose. It means there trust and mutual recognition of the strange and wonderful surprises that life tosses in.

…friendship learned we the meaning of life…don’t judge a person by first impression…but try to know them first…

For the second article, I got one story. The title is sand and stone. This story tells about two friends were talking through the desert. During some point of the journey, they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The other one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: "TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE." They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decide to take a bath. The one who had been slapped, got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After the friend recovered from from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone:"TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE." The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, “After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you wrote on a stone, why??"

The other friend replied:"When someone hurts us, we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it."

LEARN TO WRITE OUR HURTS IN THE SAND AND TO CARVE OUR BENEFITS IN STONE...................

Ramadan Special
Third article,I got this article from the internet. This article Ramadan is the month during which the revelation of the Quran began which shows all humanity the clear path leading to its ultimate goal, revealing those permanent values whereby one can distinguish truth from falsehood. The discipline learned through fasting is an annual training to remain in a state of preparedness for the accomplishment of this lofty programmed. Hence a person who is at home during this month should fast. If a person is sick or on a journey, he should, as already stated, complete the prescribed number of fasts by fasting on other days (and the concession allowed to a person who cannot fast except with great hardship has been mentioned earlier). Allah Almighty wants to make things easy for you and does not want to subject you to hardships and difficulties. Mark again that fasting is not a mere rite. Its purpose is to enable you to establish on the one hand supremacy of the Divine Laws in the world, in the light of the Guidance given to you (9/33) and on the other enable you to nourish your own potentialities.
So, during this Ramadan, we should be thankful and not greedy during buying food.

OUR FRAGILE EARTH

For the forth article, I would like to talk about Earth. So, in an article that I have read, Earth is a tremendous planet with waters, ideal temperature, landscape shaped by severely erosion, rainfall and water – streams and now its environment is severely threaten with the rises of temperature, of course it causes catastrophes to the earth. The rises of temperature are mainly caused by the increasing of the percentage of carbon dioxide in the air and consequently causes the ice-melting of the poles that can speed up the rises of the sea level, lowering the sea temperature that maximize the heat – absorbance and causes the longer colder winter and higher temperature of summer.
In my opinion, these are need to be stop and the best ways can be carry out are by lowering the greenhouse gas, carbon dioxide by 70% at today’s rate or our next generation will pay the higher price for the way we live today. And also we need to start planting more plant from now on to increase the oxygen.

Broken home
For the fifth article, the title is broken home. The article said, families are the bedrock of society. When families fall apart, society falls into social and cultural decline. Broken homes are not only the reason for so many social problems. They are also the reason for the incumbent economic difficulties we face as a culture. One of the most significant factors contributing to the breakdown of the family has been the steady rise of unwed births. If we fail to come to terms with the relationship between family structure and declining child well-being, then it will be increasing difficult to improve children’s life prospects. Broken home also because of stress from the society or both the husband and wife are too busy with their work in these modern days. In order to have a happy family, surely you need to spend more time with your family. Most of us today, living in city areas, the demand for material is high, therefore, we all need to be working hard, and especially those are not from rich family. So, to overcome this problem, we should spend more time with our family and sharing and solve all the problem together …’family first’ 

EYE ON MALAYSIA TO MAKE MELAKA DEBUT IN NOVEMBER
MELAKA, Oct 13 (Bernama)-- The "Eye On Malaysia" ferris wheel which has been relocated from Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur to Melaka will start operation on Nov 7.
Installation of the giant wheel at the marina project site at Kota Laksamana 2 was near completion, said Ad Suria Sdn Bhd (ADS) chief executive officer Adam Yong Abdullah.
The wheel slated as a new tourism product for Melaka was expected to attract 700,000-750,000 visitors annually over five years and help the company recoup its investment.
Yong was confident that the wheel could attract 1.3 million visitors, the same number recorded at Tasik Titiwangsa last year.
"Eye On Malaysia" was launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2007.
I have read this article today at Yahoo! Malaysia News. From reading this article, I’m proud to be a Malaysian. With this new tourism product, Malaysia can prove to the world that we can also become a nation international standard although our country is small. Other than that, this new product tourism also can attract the attention of the visitor from abroad to visit Malaysia further can increase our inflow of fund’s rate. I hope that Malaysia can compete with the standard world countries.

Sunburn Overview
Hi!
This time, I would like to share about the sunburn. This is because it is very close to our daily life. I got this article from the internet..
The article said that, Sunburn results from too much sun or sun-equivalent exposure. Almost everyone has been sunburned or will become sunburned at some time. Anyone who visits beach, goes fishing, works in the yard, or simply is out in the sun can get sunburn. Improper tanning bed use is also a source of sunburn. Although seldom fatal (sun poisoning), sunburn can be disabling and cause quite a bit of discomfort. Sunburn is literally a burn on your skin. It is a burn from ultraviolet (UV) radiation. The consequence of this burn is inflammation of the skin. Injury can start within 30 minutes of exposure. These are the causes of sunburn which is UVA and UVB refer to different wavelengths in the light spectrum. UVB is more damaging to the skin especially for cancer. So, Both UVA and UVB are responsible for photo aging (premature aging of the skin and wrinkles) and sunburn. Tanning beds produce both UVA and UVB rays. Travel to the southern United States, regions close to the equator, and places at high altitudes all offer the unwary visitor an opportunity to be injured by sunburn. Certain light-skinned and fair-haired people are at greater risk of sunburn injury. Prior recent sun exposure and prior skin injury are risks for sunburn, even in limited exposure to the sun. However, normal limited exposure to UV radiation produces beneficial vitamin D in the skin.
In my opinion, we should prevent our skin from the sunburn to avoid any health problem and also we should take care of our skin.

KANGAR: A 27-year-old tea-cher was allegedly kicked in her belly by a student in class yesterday.

Azhana Ibrahim says she wasn’t hurt but was traumatised
Azhana Ibrahim says she wasn’t hurt but was traumatised
Physics teacher Azhana Ibrahim was assaulted after being involved in an argument with two Form Two students at 10am.

The argument was over a crude word which one of the students had written in a class project report.

The teacher sought an explanation from the students, both 14, which ended in a shouting match.

Azhana and the two students also traded slaps in the incident at Sekolah Menengah Perlis here.
District police chief Superintendent Yusof Mohd Diah said the teacher was kicked in the belly about two to three times during the incident.

"The teacher had advised the students about something that was written in a report which they submitted."

Azhana had no physical injuries, but she was traumatised.

She was accompanied by two other teachers when she lodged a report at the Kangar district police station.

The teacher had taught in Johor for five years before being transferred to Perlis in January.

The case comes in the wake of several disciplinary cases which occurred at the same school since last year.

There was also a case of lewd behaviour last year involving two students.

Just three days before, the school's principal was given a warning by the education authorities concerning a complaint lodged by a group of parents.

Parents of eight Muslim students, who were part of the school's brass band, claimed the school had directed their children to participate in a religious festival organised by a Taoist temple here.

This prompted the state Education Department to issue a warning to the principal, asking him to be more sensitive of the pupils' religious differences.

Meanwhile, a teacher who accompanied Azhana to the police station said the latter was traumatised.

"She was shaken when she came into the teachers' room for help. We then drove her to the police station."

The teacher, who declined to be named, said other students were called in to gang up on the teacher during the incident.

Azhana had apparently asked the two students to submit their physics folio assignment several times, but to no avail.

When the students did submit their reports, they had written gila babi (crazy swine) which was aimed at Azhana.

It is learnt that the words were written at the back cover of the report.

Azhana then questioned the students in front of a Form One class yesterday morning. A fight broke out after the teacher tried to advise the students and the incident was recorded on a student's handphone.

When contacted, state Education Department director Mansor Lat said a full report would be sought from the school.

From this, we can see that the student today are not respect the teacher. So, how the student want get the knowlegde and the good result, if they done like this at their teachers. Also, i'm thinking how their parent learnd their children at home? But im feel that the parent very busy with job until have not the time for space their children and no time for teaching their children how to respect the people.

Foreign maids: 'I never want to come back here'

TWENTY-EIGHT-YEAR-OLD Selvi's life has been one of woe. Born to an impoverished family in Andhra Pradesh, she was forced to marry her elderly uncle at the tender age of 16.
The marriage did not work out and she returned home only to find that her parents were too old and ill to care for her any more.

They took a loan against their house in order to pay an agent to find her a job in Malaysia. Her eyes filled with tears as she recounted the nightmarish events that followed."The agent told me there were many jobs in Malaysia and that I would be paid RM500 a month.

"I arrived in November 2006 and began working for a family in Pantai Dalam."
Selvi said she not only had to take care of the chores, but also look after the family's two young children. Her day would start at 4am and only end at 1am. She was made to hand-wash the clothes even though they had a washing machine and lay out her bosses' shoes when they went to work. She was only given leftovers to eat.
"After a few months, I found that they were sending my parents RM350 monthly instead of the RM500 as promised.

"When I asked my employer about it, I was slapped until my nose bled."The abuse continued despite Selvi begging to be allowed to return to India until last year when she was thrown out.

Selvi's experience has left her scarred and full of painful memories. "Malaysia is a horrible place and I never want to come back."

so, from here, we see that the foreign country will think at malaysian. causes, a man make a like that, all of malaysian will get a bad effect. so, we need give a good element for everyone without think whose they are..

I read this book by online,it is meaning full.
Book ‘s name is
‘A Quest for Global Peace’
By Joseph Rotblat, Daisaku Ikeda
One of the "inventors" of the nuclear bomb, Sir Joseph Rotblat very soon turned away from weapons research to make a prolonged and principled stand against the dangers of nuclear proliferation. A physicist of great brilliance, he metamorphosed into a campaigner of admired moral conviction and leadership. This series of dialogues between two leading ethical thinkers brings together the courage and humanity of Rotblat with the spiritual wisdom and global visionary outlook of Daisaku Ikeda, the leader of the world's largest and most influential lay organization. Together they reflect on fundamental issues of war and peace, the ethics of nuclear deterrence and the trajectory of Joseph Rotblat's career, from the Manhattan Project to the Pugwash Conference and his Nobel Prize. Rotblat's life-long mantra was that scientists have a moral responsibility to save lives, not destroy them. The integrity of both writers emerges powerfully and inspiringly from their wide-ranging discussions, which serve as a stark warning against the dangers of a resurgent atomic weapons race.

There lies before us, if we choose, continual progress in happiness, knowledge, and wisdom. Shall we, instead, choose death, because we cannot forget our quarrels? We appeal, as human beings, to human beings: Remember your humanity, and forget the rest. Here, then, is the problem which we present to you, stark and dreadful and inescapable: Shall we put an end to the human race; or shall mankind renounce war? - Page 131

Food Allergy Causes
I got this article also from the internet. This article is about the food allergy causes. I choose this topic because it is very related to some people. Firstly, the article talk about an allergic reaction occurs when the body's immune system overreacts to an allergen, in this case a food protein. The white blood cells produce an antibody to this allergen; we called immunoglobulin E or IgE. Then, when this antibody comes in contact with the particular food protein, it promotes production and release of certain chemicals called "mediators." Histamine is an example of a mediator. These mediators act on various parts of the body, mainly the skin, throat, airways, intestines, and heart. The effects of the mediators on organs and other cells cause the symptoms of the allergic reaction. So, any food has the potential to trigger an allergic reaction, but a few foods account for most food allergies. In fact, about 90% of food allergies are triggered by one of these 8 foods: Eggs Milk Wheat Soy Peanuts Tree nuts Fish Shellfish Generally, people who have allergies react to only a few foods. Occasionally a person who is allergic to one food also may be allergic to other related foods. This is called cross-reaction. Then, the common examples such as allergy to peanuts - Cross-allergies to soybeans, green beans, and peas allergy to wheat - Cross-allergy to rye Allergy to cow's milk - Cross-allergy to goat's milk Allergy to pollen - Cross-allergies to foods such as hazelnuts, green apples, peaches, and almonds People who have a history of other allergies, such as eczema or asthma, are particularly prone to having a reaction to a food. They are also more likely to have a more severe reaction.
In my opinion, allergy might be happen to the some people that not have strong body’s immune system. Besides, we should choose the food carefully to avoid any health problem. So, that’s all about the allergy that I could found. I hope that this article can be as new information to us.

Reading Entries- October 2008 (A 11) 2
The another book I read from online is ‘Choose Life’
By Arnold Toynbee, Arnold Joseph Toynbee, Daisaku Ikeda
Arnold J Toynbee was a historian whose 12-volume A Study of History had a huge impact on the thinking of his day. This epic, multi-volume work offered a grand synthesis of world history from the global perspective of the rise and fall of civilizations, rather than concentrating on the history of nation-states or of ethnic groups. For Time magazine Toynbee was 'an international sage' and certainly in the same bracket as 'Einstein, Schweitzer or Bertrand Russell'. Daisaku Ikeda is a figure of global stature, the spiritual leader of a worldwide lay Buddhist organisation devoted to the promotion of education, culture and peace. Between 1971 and 1974 Toynbee and Ikeda discussed many of the vital issues which confronted their societies in the early 1970s, all of which remain current and significant. Indeed, topics such as the problems of pollution, dwindling natural resources, conflict and war, the role of religion, and population growth, are even more pressing than they were thirty years ago. In this volume - which still reads as freshly as it did when it was first published, and which is now reissued for a new generation of readers - the inspiring challenge issued by both men is framed as follows: will humankind choose to salvage its destiny by a revolution in thinking and morals? Or will disaster ensue if it pursues its present course towards self-destruction and the despoliation of the environment? While recognising that our survival is threatened by the imbalance between human immaturity and technological achievement, the optimistic message of this classic Dialogue is that man-made evils have a man-made cure.

I read an article about 'How To Make A Road' which is related with my presentation. In this article, it stated that for a normal road actually it consist 4 layers.
The first layer is the surface layer or Surface Course is made from bitumen. This is the layer that contact with the traffic. The function of this layer is to control the noise, give friction to the tires and most important thing is act as prevention from water accumulation that can cause flood.
Next is the second layer, called Base Course. This layer usually made of gravel stone. It provide additional load distribution and also frost resistance. It located beneath the first layer which is the Surface Layer.
The third layer is Subbase Course. This layer made of sand and the function of this layer is to give enhancement in sense of workability, durability, and strength to the road.
Lastly is the Subgrade layer, made of normal soil. act as the base of these layers. To construct this road, there are 3 steps.
1. Ground Work - Site clearing, earth cutting, excavation process, cut and fill.
2. Specialized Earthwork - Demolition of rock, earth compacting and installation of rock anchor.
3. Pavement Construction Work - Preparing the layers.
As conclusion, road made for us to connect us from one place to another place.

I went to the exhibition for the English presentation and this particular thing that I'm going to tell you all about called Distribution Fused Board. Have you ever noticed that there is a rectangle box consists of blue or grey plugs on the wall. Another term that most people used is the electric box. That is what i want to tell you about. For your information it have three main part, Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB), Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker (ELCB), and Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB).
For the first part, the main purpose is to cut off the circuit when any leakage happen. Next is second main part functioned as protector to the consumer from electric shock. It will cut off power if it detect any danger might occur such as the lightning. Last part play the role as the circuit breaker which automatically operate as an electrical switch to protect any electrical items from explode or burn, short circuit and also overload.

Hai..good evening..I just read about the automatic level.Do you know about that? Builders and the larger paving contractors will normally have an automatic or 'dumpy' level to assist them in the setting of site levels. The element consist about tripod, foot-screw,rotation adjuster, circular bubble tube ,baseplate, and focus adjust. Each of the compenent have their own function. For example the function of the circular bubble tube itself to centered the automatic level and become stable.
This is the most important component in his automatic level. The reason why i state that because it will effect the measurement of the reading. There will become paralax.Beside another which is important also is the measurement of the reading. For your imfrmation there are consist of three part in the feature which is the upper, center and the bottom. We need to take the reading at center. I was really impressed about that. That all about the automatic level.Thank you

The article that i would like to share to all is about multiple births and pregnancy. Normally, we always hear about the twins ter story. Of course parent will feel happy after they know will get the twin or more than two baby in same time. But all this multiple births is considered complicated.
Certain risks to both the pregnant woman and fetuses increase with a multiple pregnancy, including premature birth and preeclampsia.
The factor that increase of this situation are increased use of fertility drugs and in vitro fertilization.A pregnant woman's chance of a pregnancy with twins increases if she has a personal or family history of twins. Beside, the fetal effect are mental retardation, cerebral palsy, vision difficulties and hearing loss are all more common in multiple births than in single births. The mother'S itself will face the risk gestational diabetes, hypertension, hemorrhage and preeclampsia. Preeclampsia is a type of hypertension, often accompanied by edema and proteinuria. One third of all pregnant women carrying twins develop preeclampsia during their pregnancy. In my opinion the article are intresting. I enjoyed. For me, it was difficult to take a responsible to have pregnant. Nevertheless, as a woman i have to.That all, thank you.

The article that i like to comment here is Drifting is one of the greatest auto sports ever created.
First of all, drifting is getting your car sideways down a road. Meaning, drifting is the controlled loss of traction. Although the car may look as though it is out of control, a good drifter will be in control of his car at all times. To me, to be a good drift is was imposible. The reason why i state that because they need a multitalented skiils. Not all people can do that.Basically two kinds of drifts, there is a straightaway drift and there is a corner drift. The sport was started in Japan. In my opinion it will become greateful if i one of the fomous drifter in thr world.Believe it, they will be more respect it.

this article is about "Why Head Protection is Important".Our head is very delicate part of our body.In and around our head are eyes, ears, nose, mouth and brain.Injuries to the head are very serious so we need to use a protective helmet or hard hat at construction sites. From the head prtection survey, prevention of head injuries is an important factor in every safety program.A single injury can handicap an employee for life or it can be fatal.A survey by the Bureau of Labor Statistic (BLS) f accidents and injuries noted that most workers who suffered impact injuries to the head were not wearing head protection. The majority of workers were injured while perfoming their normal jobs at their regular worksites.
The survey showed that in the most instances where head injuries occurred employers had not required their employees to wear head protection. Of those workers wearing hard hats, all but five percent indicated that they were required by their employers to wear them. It was found that the vast majority of those who wore hard hats all or most of the time at work believed that hard hats were practical for their jobs.According to the report, in almst half of the accidents involving head injuries, employees knew of no actions taken by employers to prevents such injuries from recurring. The need for safety helmets or hard hats to be worn on construction sites should be establishd by the person in control conducting a hazard assessment. So, head protection must be worn to eliminate injury and save our life...

Practice patience daily! Remember that you are doing the best you can. At the moment that we do anything we do the best that we can. When you know more, you will do things differently. Remember to also do this in regards to others too.

Practicing patience is about acceptance. Acceptance of yourself. It is about accepting where you are and also, where you are not. We are doing the best that we can at any moment of our life. When we act or do something we are doing the best that we are capable of at that moment. While we may want to do things differently in the future and will do so with learning, accepting that we are doing the best at any moment allows us to avoid the harm created by guilt and as a result to begin to transform our life.

Furthermore, it is very liberating and freeing to practice patience with another person. They too are doing the best that they can, at any moment. Accepting that other people are doing the best that they can at any one moment allows us to not only connect with that person as to purpose in life but enable us to give up frustration and even anger towards them. With patience we can begin to transform our life through accepting another for who they are and who they are not.

From the above, I think that practicing patience for those in recovery can make a difference. Patience will bring to us many benefits such as peace and no quarrel between the people.
Patience is very important in our life therefore practicing patience is part of the daily homework.

A wedding dress or wedding gown is clothing worn by a bride during a wedding ceremony.
In modern tradition, the color of western-culture wedding dresses is white. Used in this sense, 'white' or 'wedding white' includes creamy shades such as eggshell, ecru and ivory. The popularity of this color can be traced back to 1840 and the marriage of Queen Victoria to Albert of Saxe-Coburg. The Queen chose to wear a white gown for the event. The official wedding portrait photograph was widely published and many brides opted for a similar dress in honor of that choice. The tradition continues today.

Prior to the Victorian era a bride was married in any color except black (the color of mourning) or red (which was connected with prostitutes). The white dress came to symbolize purity of heart and the innocence of childhood. Later attribution suggested that the color white symbolized virginity which is false. However it was originally the color blue that was connected to purity.

The term "bridal gown" originates from the word al which means party combined with bride is Bridal i.e. "Bride's Party Gown". In the middle Ages wedding parties were simply called Bride-al's. A bridal train is the part of the wedding dress that trails behind the bride, the term is derived from similar train worn by Kings & Queens, which themselves are derived from seeing a Peacock, which were used as royal birds.

Many wedding dresses in China are colored red, the traditional color of good luck. In modern Chinese weddings, particularly in Western countries, the bride usually goes for the white Western dress or changes from a red gown to a white gown later in the day.

Also in northern parts of India, the traditional color of female wedding garments is red. South Indian weddings traditionally use white or cream colored saris. With Indians in Western countries, the bride often wears the sari at the wedding ceremony and change into traditional Indian wear afterwards (like lehnga, choli, et cetera).

Current fashion was followed in the dropped waist and generally unshaped bodice, and in the way the headdress was worn low over the brow, clasping the veil to the bride's head in a way that echoed the cloche hat every woman was wearing.

We have now reached a new century, and no doubt the wedding gown will carry on changing in fabric and altering in form. But there is equally no doubt that it will remain with us. Since the civil wedding laws were relaxed in the 1990s, allowing marriages to be conducted almost anywhere; even those with no religious convictions can have a beautiful setting for a full-rig "do".

As wedding fashion continues to evolve separately from the general vogue, people have felt freer to allow full rein for their imaginations, and some wedding parties are not so much in "best" dress as fancy dress, as themed and fantasy costumes are the order of the day. Which all goes to prove that everyone likes to dress up now and again, and every girl wants her day in the sun? It's really true that wedding gowns, color and style depends on religion and culture...It can preserve the marrow of the wedding gowns...

From the above, i know that the color, style and ceremonial importance of the gown depends on the religion and culture of the participants. Therefore different religion and culture will use their own traditional color as their wedding dresses color. In their opinion, all of these traditional color will bring luck for them. Therefore different color of the wedding dresses have their own meaning.

BLACK PEPPER
Hello everybody...

For this post I would like to share about black pepper. I was read this article from www.wikepedia.com. It is quite interesting because before this, I never know how was black pepper is produce and its functions. As well as we know, black pepper is commonly use as seasoning in our food. If we put a little bit of black pepper, it will change the taste of our food and it become tasty and spice, but for those who have abdominal surgery and ulcers, you are advice to eliminate it from your diet because of its irritating effect upon the intestines. During The 5th century Syriac Book of Medicines prescribes pepper (or perhaps long pepper) for such illnesses as constipation, diarrhea, earache, gangrene, heart disease, hernia, hoarseness, indigestion, insect bites, insomnia, joint pain, liver problems, lung disease, oral abscesses, sunburn, tooth decay, and toothaches. But there is no current medical treatment evidence that any of these treatments has benefit. Pepper gets its spicy heat mostly from the piperine compound, which is found both in the outer fruit and in the seed. Refined piperine, milligram-for-milligram, is about one percent as hot as the capsaicin in chili peppers. The outer fruit layer, left on black pepper, also contains important odour-contributing terpenes including pinene, sabinene, limonene, caryophyllene, and linalool, which give citrus, woody, and floral notes. That’s all about black pepper... =)

The Beatles..
I love music. The band that i admire the most is The Beatles. The Beatles were a pop and rock band from Liverpool, England formed in 1960. Primarily consisting of John Lennon (rhythm guitar, vocals), Paul McCartney (bass guitar, vocals), George Harrison (lead guitar, vocals) and Ringo Starr (drums, vocals) throughout their career, The Beatles are recognised for leading the mid-1960s musical "British Invasion" into the United States. Although their initial musical style was rooted in 1950s rock and roll and homegrown skiffle, the group explored genres ranging from Tin Pan Alley to psychedelic rock. Their clothes, styles, and statements made them trend-setters, while their growing social awareness saw their influence extend into the social and cultural revolutions of the 1960s. After the band broke up in 1970, all four members embarked upon solo careers.

The Beatles are one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed bands in the history of popular music, selling over a billion records internationally. In the United Kingdom, The Beatles released more than 40 different singles, albums, and EPs that reached number one, earning more number one albums (15) than any other group in UK chart history. This commercial success was repeated in many other countries; their record company, EMI, estimated that by 1985 they had sold over one billion records worldwide. According to the Recording Industry Association of America, The Beatles have sold more albums in the United States than any other band. In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine ranked The Beatles number one on its list of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. According to that same magazine, The Beatles' innovative music and cultural impact helped define the 1960s, and their influence on pop culture is still evident today. In 2008, Billboard magazine released a list of top-selling Hot 100 artists to celebrate the chart's fiftieth anniversary; The Beatles reached #1 again.

Arsenal F.C..
I like football.I,am Arsenal,s fan.Arsenal Football Club (also known as Arsenal, The Arsenal or The Gunners) are an English professional football club based in Holloway, North London. They play in the Premier League and are one of the most successful clubs in English football, having won thirteen First Division and Premier League titles and ten FA Cups, and hold the record for the longest uninterrupted period in the English top flight.

Arsenal were founded in 1886 and were the first Southern club to join the Football League, in 1893. They won their first major trophies in the 1930s, with five League Championship titles and two FA Cups. After a lean period in the post-war years they became the second club of the 20th century to win the League and FA Cup Double in 1970–71, and during the past twenty years have recorded a series of successes – in this time Arsenal have won a Cup Double, two further League and FA Cup Doubles, the Premier League title unbeaten, and became the first London club to reach the UEFA Champions League Final.

The club's colours have traditionally been red and white, although these have evolved through history. Similarly, the club have changed location over time; the team were initially founded in Woolwich, south-east London, but in 1913 they moved north across the city to Arsenal Stadium, Highbury. In 2006 they made a less drastic move to their current home, the Emirates Stadium in nearby Holloway.

Arsenal have a large fanbase, who hold a string of long-standing rivalries with several other clubs; the most notable of these is with neighbours Tottenham Hotspur, with whom they regularly contest the North London derby. Arsenal are one of the richest clubs in English football (valued at over £600m as of 2008), and thanks to their stature, have regularly featured in portrayals of football in British culture. Arsenal Ladies are the most successful English club in women's football and are also affiliated with the club.

breast cancer??
HOW TO PREVENT..

The most important risk factors for the development of breast cancer, such as age and family history, cannot be controlled by the individual. Some risk factors may be in a woman’s control; however. These include things like avoiding long-term hormone replacement therapy, having children before age 30, breastfeeding, avoiding weight gain through exercise and proper diet, and limiting alcohol consumption to 1 drink a day or less. For women already at very high risk due to family history, risk of developing breast cancer can be reduced by about 50% by taking a drug called Tamoxifen for five years. Tamoxifen has some common side effects (like hot flashes and vaginal discharge), which are not serious and some uncommon side effects (like blood clots, pulmonary embolus, stroke, and uterine cancer) which are life threatening. Tamoxifen isn't widely used for prevention, but may be useful in some cases. Use of Tamoxifen for prophylactic reasons should be considered carefully by an individual and her doctor, as its use is very individualized.

How solar power works.

A solar tower is a device that converts solar thermal energy (heat from the sun) into electricity. Solar towers are used for large-scale power generation.
Computer controlled mirrors (called heliostats) follow the sun, adjusting their position as the sun moves, and reflect sunlight toward the top of the solar tower, where a heat collector tank is located. Of course, more than one heliostat is needed, so an arrangement of hundreds or even thousands of heliostats is used.

The combined reflected sunlight of these heliostats is capable of producing temperatures as high as 550 degrees, Celsius at the focus point.

Thus, the liquid inside the boiler is rapidly heated and is then pumped downward into storage tanks, or is pumped directly into to a heat exchanger where it is used to make steam.

The steam produced by the heat exchanger is then led through a steam turbine, which uses the steam to generate electricity.

As an interesting note, liquid sodium can be used as a heat transfer/storage liquid, because of its ability to hold and store heat efficiently. Large storage tanks can be used to hold the heated liquid sodium. The stored "heat" can then be used at night, so as to continue generating steam which is used to generate electricity.

Currently, there are two solar towers in operation using the above design. The 64 MW Nevada Solar One and 11 MW PS10 solar power tower in Spain.

Solar tower energy is categorized as CSP (concentrated solar power) technology. There are several other power plant designs which use concentrated solar power technology. This includes the parabolic trough and the solar dish engine.

The article above give a new knowledge to me about solar tower power. The solar tower function to converts solar thermal energy into electricity in large-scale power generation. The main parts in this solar power tower is the heliostas.Heliostats is the computer that controlled the mirror which follow the sun.The mirror will move as the sun move and reflect the sunlight towards the top of the solar tower. The solar tower contain a heat collector tank inside it.The combining of the reflected sunlight will produce a high temperature and boiled the liquid inside it rapidly. Then,it is pumped into a heat exchanger and led through a steam turbin and the steam are used to generate electricity. In addition information, the liquid sodium can be used asa aheat transfer because of its ability to hold and store heat efficiently. As conclusion, from this article i can conclude that one of the source in produce electricity is solar power tower.Thank you.-liyana-

Positive move by BAM for Olympics

THE efforts to finalise the 2012 London Olympics project squad took a positive turn after the coaches submitted their list of players to coordinator Kenny Goh yesterday.

While the singles squad is anybody's guess, national doubles coach Rexy Mainaky (right) shed more light on the new structure for the his players where he is planning to have both the elite and back-up teams to train together.

Rexy said that Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong and Zakry Latif-Fairuzizuan Tazari are the sure choices for the 2012 Olympics project squad while two other pairs -- Razif Latif-Tan Wee Kiong and Hoon Thien How-Ong Soon Hock -- have shown promise.

Besides them, Tan Bin Shen-Khoo Chung Chiat and Gan Teik Chai-Lin Woon Fui are the other pairs who have also been training with the current seniors.

Although the BA of Malaysia (BAM) has not made a decision on the men's doubles, it is likely that the core of the current squad will be maintained while the rest will form the back-up squad.
Among the back-up pairs who have also been training under Rexy are Goh Wei Shem-Ong Jian Guo, Mak Hee Chun-Teo Kok Siang and Lim Khim Wah-Chan Peng Soon.

"We have learnt a lot from the mistakes from the previous Olympics programme and there will be a different approach. The best option is to have both the elite and back-up players train together to intensity the competition," said Rexy.

"Kien Keat-Boon Heong and Zakry-Fairuz have earned their place. Some new pairs have shown promise while the rest also have the chance to make it.

"If I find a back-up pair continuously producing results, they can be promoted to the 2012 project squad and non-performing seniors will be demoted.

"This practice will continue so as to instill strong competition among the players and keep everyone on their toes."Rexy is presently being assisted by Pang Cheh Chang, Chang Kim Wai, Rosman Razak and Jeremy Gan.

Cheh Chang is in charge of the women's doubles while Jeremy will guide the mixed doubles.

The men's singles squad is expected to be made up of Lee Chong Wei, Hafiz Hashim, Kuan Beng Hong, Arif Latif, Chong Wei Feng, Tan Chun Seang and Liew Daren.

The composition of the 2012 Olympics project squad will also depend on the budget allocation by the National Sports Council (NSC). This is the reason Kenny and the coaches were unable to reveal the names of the players who made the cut.

A meeting with the NSC is expected to be held as soon as possible and this will be followed by BAM's coaching and training committee meeting for the approval of the final list.

comment:

A mermaid is a mythological aquatic creature that is half human, half aquatic creature (e.g. a fish or dolphin). Various cultures throughout the world have similar figures. The word is a compound of mere, the Old English word for "sea," and maid, which has retained its original sense.

Much like sirens, mermaids would sometimes sing to sailors and enchant them, distracting them from their work and causing them to walk off the deck or cause shipwrecks. Other stories would have them squeeze the life out of drowning men while trying to rescue them. They are also said to take them down to their underwater kingdoms. In Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid it is said that they forget that humans cannot breathe underwater, while others say they drown men out of spite.

The sirens of Greek mythology are sometimes portrayed in later folklore as mermaid-like; in fact, some languages (such as the Maltese word 'sirena') use the same word for both bird and fish creatures. Other related types of mythical or legendary creature are water fairies (e.g. various water nymphs) and selkies, animals that can transform themselves from seals to humans.

COMMENT :
This is just a brief on what i've read. Mermaid, a legendary being. Before i read this article, i thought mermaid are just simple being which take the form fish and human. But after reading this article, i've just come to know that there are so many legends about mermaid. which really do impressed me. Nothing much that can be said about god creations. Some do believe there are mermaids and some say it's just a myth. Believe it or not? I do.

Werewolves, also known as lycanthropes, are mythological or folkloric humans with the ability to shapeshift into wolves or wolf-like creatures, either purposely, being bitten by another werewolf or after being placed under a curse. This transformation is often associated with the appearance of the full moon, as popularly noted by the medieval chronicler Gervase of Tilbury, although it may have been recognized in earlier times among the ancient Greeks through the writings of Petronius. Werewolves are often granted extra-human strength and senses, far beyond those of both wolves or men. The werewolf is generally held as a European character, although its lore spread through the world in later times. Shape-shifters, similar to werewolves, are common in tales from all over the world, most notably amongst the American Indians, though most of them involve animal forms other than wolves.

Werewolves are a frequent subject of modern fictional books and films, although fictional werewolves have been attributed traits distinct from those of original folklore, most notably the vulnerability to silver bullets. Werewolves continue to endure in modern culture and fiction, with books, films and television shows cementing the werewolf's stance as a dominant figure in horror.

COMMENT :
Ok, i admit that i'm quite into legendary beings. Werewolf, another impressive being. At first, i thought werewolves are born to be werewolf. But after reading articles from wikipedia, i know that a normal human can choose to be a werewolf through some methods. Eventhough i still dont quite understand why normal humans are seeking ways to be a monster like werewolfs.

The dragon is a legendary creature of which some interpretation or depiction appears in almost every culture worldwide. The physical description and supposed abilities of the creature vary immensely according to the different cultures in which it appears. However, the unifying feature of almost all interpretations is it being a serpentine or otherwise reptilian monster (or at least possessing a serpentine/reptilian part or trait), and often possessing magical or spiritual qualities.

The two most familiar interpretations of dragons are either European dragons, derived from various European folk traditions, or unrelated Oriental dragons, derived from the Chinese dragon (lóng,龍,龙). The word "dragon" derives from Greek δράκων (drakōn), "a serpent of huge size, a python, a dragon" and that from δρακεῖν (drakein) aorist infinitive active of the verb δέρκομαι (derkomai) "I see clearly".

COMMENT :
As a chinese, i'm quite interested in dragons itself. Dragons are honoured creature in our culture. Me myself was born in the year of dragon and i do believe somewhere in this world there are dragons before or still there i cant assure. From this article, i also realize that Europeans also believe in dragons. Just that their belief in dragons are different in some way.

eBAY.......
Ten years after being formed in 1995, eBay has become the world's leading online marketplace for all sorts of goods. At any given time, 29 million items are available worldwide on eBay, with more than 3.5 million new items added every day and $1,000 worth of merchandise sold every second. The online auction site has 135 million registered users in 32 international markets, and more than 430,000 people in the United States alone make a full- or part-time living on eBay.If you think eBay is just about bobblehead dolls and Pez dispensers, think again. While $2.2 billion worth of goods in collectibles were sold on eBay in 2004, antiques and collectibles ranked only No. 6 among eBay's sales categories. The five highest were: automobiles and auto supplies ($11.1 billion); consumer electronics ($3-5 billion); computers ($3.0 billion); clothes and accessories ($2.9 billion); and books, movies and music ($2.4 billion).Real people are making big bucks on eBay--and thousands have even reached PowerSeller status by maintaining at least $1,000 per month in sales for three consecutive months. Case in point: Angle Cash, 37, a stay-at-home mom who started selling on eBay nearly six years ago because it was "something I could do and watch the kids at the same time." Today, her Kennesaw, Georgia, company, Cashco1000 Inc. comment:
ten years ago people need to waste their energy and time if they want to shopping, but after EBay was formed we just need to turn on computer and click the stuff we want to buy without waste energy and money.Ebay is the biggest online marketplace which is over 3.5 million new item added every day. Ebay also is one of the cheapest marketplace because all the stuff in Ebay use more like auction selling.

While we are dependent on our cell phones and love them, there is some evidence that cell phone radiation can be dangerous for people, as well as a helpful insect to crops - bees. Studies have found that the radio-frequency radiation, a form of electromagnetic radiation, can heat and damage tissues, as well as possibly cause other diseases in the long term, including cancer, brain tumors, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and more. People are not the only beings that are affected by cell phones, however. Some evidence has found that the radiation that comes from cell phones can also kill bees, which can cause all kinds of problems environmentally. Honeybees pollinate crops and other plants, which helps vegetables and fruit to grow and it allows the plants to do their job replenishing the oxygen in the air. What are the mobile radiation effects on the bees?

Now Government and people try to renew Batik so that young old and young generation will like it. Indonesia top Designers also try to design Batik in order to look more fashionable and trendy.

There are two categories of Batik, tradition Batik and modification Batik. Tradition Batik is created for sacral event and reflection of symbol tradition. Modification Batik is designed for
commercial purpose. Indonesian people create Batik through two ways, Batik handmade

DURIAN

Hye…
Today I would like to share with all of you an article about my favorite fruit, which is durian. As well as we know, durian is the fruit of tree from the genus Durio belonging to Malacca. It is widely known as a ‘King of Fruits’ in Southern Asia. The fruit is distinctive for its large size, unique odour, and formidable thorn-covered husk. For your information, the fruit can grow up to 30 centimeters (12 in) long and 15 centimeters (6 in) in diameter, and typically weighs one to four kilograms (2 to 7 lb). Its shape ranges from oblong to round, the color of its husk green to brown, and its flesh pale-yellow to red, depending on the species. Sometimes, even we see the color of it husk is green, but when we open it husk, we will see the durian is in yellow or cream color, which is we can already eat it…yummy.. Durian is also use to flavour variety sweet edibles such as traditional Malay candy, ice kachang, dodol, rose biscuits, and, with a touch of modern innovation, ice cream, milkshakes, moon cakes, Yule logs and cappuccino. Pulut Durian is glutinous rice steamed with coconut milk and served with ripened durian. It such as an amazing if we feel and taste the durian with other food, my mother sometimes eats durian with rice and she said it is delicious, but for me I only prefer to eat with pulut or bread. Durian fruit contains a high amount of sugar, vitamin C, potassium, and the serotoninergic amino acid tryptophan, and is a good source of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. It is recommended as a good source of raw fats by several raw food advocates, while others classify it as a high-glycemic or high-fat food, recommending minimizing its consumption. Discover magazine reported an incident where a woman with preexisting renal failure ate a durian and ended up critically ill from potassium overdose. So as a conclusion, durian is not just a fruit, it delicious, have a good benefit for our health, we can cook in variety food, and mostly Malaysian like it and I cant ignore it if I see durian…=)

STRESSSS...!!!!

exam for final are around he corner..i'm sure all UMP student face stress..now i give you..how to prevent from stress

Not all stress can be avoided, and it’s not healthy to avoid a situation that needs to be addressed. You may be surprised, however, by the number of stressors in your life that you can eliminate.

Learn how to say “no” – Know your limits and stick to them. Whether in your personal or professional life, refuse to accept added responsibilities when you’re close to reaching them. Taking on more than you can handle is a surefire recipe for stress.

Avoid people who stress you out – If someone consistently causes stress in your life and you can’t turn the relationship around, limit the amount of time you spend with that person or end the relationship entirely.
Take control of your environment – If the evening news makes you anxious, turn the TV off. If traffic’s got you tense, take a longer but less-traveled route. If going to the market is an unpleasant chore, do your grocery shopping online.

Avoid hot-button topics – If you get upset over religion or politics, cross them off your conversation list. If you repeatedly argue about the same subject with the same people, stop bringing it up or excuse yourself when it’s the topic of discussion.

Pare down your to-do list – Analyze your schedule, responsibilities, and daily tasks. If you’ve got too much on your plate, distinguish between the “shoulds” and the “musts.” Drop tasks that aren’t truly necessary to the bottom of the list or eliminate them entirely.

i hope our friends will try 2 follow this instruction 2 get a better result of our final sem 1 exam.try your best and near to our god.

HANDBAG

Olla everyone...
Now I like to share with all of you about handbag. Yes, for girl especially we like wear handbag, but don’t know it history, so let’s read my article. In the 16th century, handbags were made out of common materials. They were leather and fastened with drawstring on top. Large cloth bags were introduced and worn by travelers diagonally across the body. In the 17th century, bags became more complex and elaborate. Girls were taught skills such as embroidery and needlework that could assist them in finding a husband. These skills gave rise to stitched artwork on purses. In the 18th century, as neo-classical clothing came into fashion, women started carrying their handbags as not to ruin their outfits. They named these bags reticules. Most women had more than one, so that they could use a certain one for each occasion. Contents of these bags might include rouge, face powder, a fan, a scent bottle, visiting cards, a card case, and smelling salts. In the early 1900s people began calling their bags "handbags". This term referred to luggage that men carried. They then inspired women, who began carrying bags with complicated fasteners, internal compartments, and locks. In the 1920s, it became popular that bags no longer had to match your outfit. In the 1940s, with WWII, women's purses were made out of wood or plastic since metal was being saved for supplies. So, that’s the flow of handbag, I am sure that some of us don’t know about it.
Today, we can see a lot of handbag, and the most popular handbag with international branded are Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Gucci, Christian Dior, Fendi, Prada, and Kate Spade, and Chloe. This entire bag is beautiful, and although it sells with high price, almost women can’t neglect to buy it. Handbag also not for aesthetic appearance for women, but it’s also function for put makeup, purse and cell phone. Asssalmualaikum,
Firstly I want to apologies madam Noli because I late post this article.
Article that I want to share with you all is about getting married at an early age the causes. Why I choose this article because a few people always ask me how it feel married at an early age and other question. I can answer based my experience but based on world experience you must read this.
This common cause married in early age:
1.Pregnancy
2.Presence of false expectations
3.Hasty marriage
4.Others
Anything cause doesn’t matter because getting married can be one of life's most joyous occasions, but it also involves a lot of give and take. Any affect after marriages couple must take that risk. Common causes after marriage:
1.A transition period
2.Hard time communicating with each other
3.Marry the person, marry the family
4.Money
5.Others
Other people say that getting married at an early age diverts from gaining knowledge and from studying, this is not the case. Rather, the opposite of this is correct because tranquility, peace of mind, and pleasure never cease to be obtained through marriage. These things help the student to reach his goal because, he/she has peace of mind, and his/her thoughts are not cluttered due to discomfort and this helps him study. These I must always remember.
We ask Allah to give the Muslims insight in their religion and to protect them from the evil of their enemies. Peace and blessings be upon our Prophet, his family and all his companions. Praise be to Allah.

My second article about examination preparation.
Firstly you all must do is REVISING. Starting from now try to find somewhere to work where you can leave your work out and go back to it whenever you have a few minutes; finding pages takes up time and often leads to distraction. Secondly is PLANNING:

1.Get your notes into shape. (Mean summarise note in some form or maybe try mind mapping or diagrammatic form of notes to remember )
2.Think about a timetable. (Sometimes useful to some people)
3.Be realistic. (Don’t overload work give yourself time to having fun)
4.Reward yourself. (Just a simple reward)
5.Practise, practise, practise!
Lastly is STRATEGY :

1.Revise more than one subject. (Make sure you spend equal amounts of time on each subject)
2.Know your attention span/take regular breaks. (Try studies in effective way)
3.Best time to study. (Morning is the best time to study)

So I want to wish you all good luck for this examination. Chayo!!

One day, a very attractive under graduate visited the professor's office. The under graduate pulled the chair closer to the professor, smiled at him shyly, bumped his knee "accidentally", etc.

Finally, the undergraduate said, "Professor, I really need to pass your course. It is extremely important to me. It is so important that I'll do anything you suggest."

The professor, somewhat taken aback by this attention, replied, "Anything?"

To which the undergradute cooed, "Yes, anything you say."

After some brief reflection, the professor asked, "What are you doing tomorrow afternoon at 3:30?"

The student lied, "Oh, nothing at all, sir. I can be free then."

The professor then advised, "Excellent! Professor Palmer is holding a help session for his students. Why don't you attend that."

Can Soya and other Herbs Help Prevent Hair Loss?

Equol is a form of oestrogen that is made when bacteria in the gut breaks down oestrogen-mimicking chemicals, known as "isoflavones", chemicals found naturally in soya beans and some other plants. The results of a study published last month in Biology of Reproduction indicated that equol effectively blocks a particularly potent form of testosterone, dihydrotestosterone (DHT), linked with both male pattern baldness and an increased risk of prostate cancer.
According to a paper published last December in Ob/Gyn Clinical Alert, only about 30 per cent of the population produces it in their guts (another characteristic distinguishing us from other mammals, all of which churn out equol effortlessly - hair loss is an almost exclusively human affliction). At first sight, hair loss appears a depressingly localised affliction. With an estimated five million hairs on our bodies, most incredibly fine, why should the 100,000 or so thickest on the top of the head go into retreat as we age?
In fact research shows that the reason receding hair is so difficult to treat is because it is intimately connected not just with testosterone and its action on the prostate, but also with foetal development.
Last year it was reported that scientists were working on molecules to target a gene called Sonic Hedgehog which controls such vital steps in the foetus's development as making sure that the baby has two eyes, that the brain forms two hemispheres, and that hair follicles are created. This gene is also active in adults, which is why in October a company patented a drug that turns on the Hedgehog signalling pathway to kick-start hair growth.
Meanwhile, researchers at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at Rockefeller University in New York are studying two other genes, "wht" and "noggin", which are involved in altering stem cells in the skin so that instead of producing more skin, they become hair follicles. But the spectre of cancer looms over such approaches; wht and noggin have both been implicated in the changes involved in colon and breast tumours.

But for me the treatment is so expensive. Maybe it works.

Top 10 Contributing Factors to Obesity.

If you one part of or would be obesity symptom you must read this. Why I CHOOSE this article because I was a part of obesity. Which I or us should not ashamed with that but we must know that factor contributed to obesity.

1. The Gene, GAD2

According to the lead researcher Professor Philippe Froguel (from Imperial College London), obesity is a complex problem, which could not be entirely explained by one factor alone. But he said GAD2 may be responsible for obesity in about one in ten seriously overweight people. However genes do not always predict future health. Genes and behavior may both be needed for a person to be overweight. In some cases multiple genes may increase one’s susceptibility for obesity and require outside factors; such as abundant food supply or little physical activity.

Mean for me: My family genes are fat gene.

2. Snacks can make people obese and high-wired

A poor diet—to high-calorie foods that are widely available, low in cost, heavily promoted, and good tasting. While such foods are fast and convenient they also tend to be high in fat, sugar, and calories. It is important to read food labels for nutritional information and to eat in moderation.

Mean for me: I love snacks. Even I know it can make me high cholesterol.

3. Fast food infiltration in our culture

Anywhere fast food available even 24 hours on. It’s basically everywhere.

Mean for me: The best meal ever and easy to get and digest.

4. Lack of physical activity

The remote control, video games, the automobile, television, and to some extent the computer are all part of the environment which discourage people from being physically active. Our bodies need calories for daily functions such as breathing, digestion, and daily activities. Weight gain occurs when calories consumed exceed this need. Physical activity plays a key role in energy balance because it uses up calories consumed.

Mean for me: Before this I try to exercise but seen I busy with work and have facility you the end right.

5. Food has tremendous social meaning

People can feel like they aren’t part of the group if they don’t eat like everybody else does. Food also has personal meaning. It can be a person’s best friend, and it allows some people to numb out from a difficult world.

Mean for me: Sometime when I really tension and having problem food is my best friend.

6. Energy imbalance

When the number of calories consumed is not equal to the number of calories used. Energy Balance is like a scale. When calories consumed are greater than calories used weight gain results.

Weight Gain:
Calories Consumed > Calories Used

Weight Loss:
Calories Consumed < Calories Used

No Weight Change:
Calories Consumed = Calories Used

7. Larger Portion sizes

People may be eating more during a meal or snack because of larger portion sizes. This results in increased calorie consumption. If the body does not burn off the extra calories consumed from larger portions, fast food, or soft drinks, weight gain can occur.

Mean for me: I thought if I take more in lunch time I doesn’t have take for dinner time. But the results are same.

8. Diseases and Drugs

Some illnesses may lead to obesity or weight gain. These may include Cushing's disease, hypothyroidism, depression and polycystic ovary syndrome. Drugs such as steroids and some antidepressants may also cause weight gain. Also, drugs such as steroids and some antidepressants may cause weight gain

Mean for me: I smoker addicted but not drug addicted. But I feel my pound increase when I try stop smoking.

9. Negative Emotions

Many people eat in response to negative emotions such as boredom, sadness, or anger. It has been observed that women with the most severe binge eating problems are also likely to have symptoms of depression and low self-esteem. During a binge eating episode, people eat large amounts of food and feel that they cannot control how much they are eating.

Mean for me: As I said before my best friend is food.

10. Early menarche

Early menarche is clearly associated with degree of overweight, with a twofold increase in rate of early menarche associated with BMI greater than the 85th percentile.

Mean for me: I am a guy this affect for ladies.

So are you have any factor that i mention. So beware.....

A famous and widely bootlegged concert by Bob Dylan at the Free Trade Hall in Manchester on 17 May 1966 was mistakenly labeled the "Royal Albert Hall Concert." In 1998 Columbia Records released an official recording, The Bootleg Series Vol. 4: Bob Dylan Live 1966, The "Royal Albert Hall" Concert, that maintains the erroneous title, but does include details of the actual concert location. Dylan actually did close his European tour on 26 and 27 May and of that year; these were his last concerts before Dylan got into a motorcycle accident and became a recluse for a brief period of time.

Another concert that was mislabeled as being at the Royal Albert Hall was by Creedence Clearwater Revival. An album by CCR titled The Royal Albert Hall Concert was released in 1980. When it was discovered that the show on the album actually took place at the Oakland Coliseum, Fantasy Records retitled the album The Concert'.

I have short listed the list of famous artiste to be formed at Royal Albert Hall London. The Royal Albert Hall is an arts venue situated in the Knightsbridge area of the City of Westminster, London, England, best known for holding the annual summer Proms concerts since 1941. The Royal Albert Hall is one of the UK's most treasured and distinctive buildings, recognisable the world over. Since its opening by Queen Victoria in 1871, the world's leading artists from every kind of performance genre have appeared on its stage. Each year it hosts more than 350 performances including classical concerts, rock and pop, ballet and opera, tennis, award ceremonies, school and community events, charity performances and lavish banquets.

The Hall was originally supposed to have been called The Central Hall of Arts and Sciences, but the name was changed by Queen Victoria to Royal Albert Hall of Arts and Sciences when laying the foundation stone as a dedication to her deceased husband and consort Prince Albert. It forms the practical part of a national memorial to the Prince Consort - the decorative part is the Albert Memorial directly to the north in Kensington Gardens, now separated from the Hall by the heavy traffic along Kensington Gore.

As the best known building within the cultural complex known as Albertopolis. The Hall is commonly and erroneously thought to lie within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The Hall is actually within the area of the City of Westminster, although the postal address is Kensington Gore. The site was part of the former Kensington Gore estate which was historically part of Knightsbridge.

Turbocharger Functions

Whenever people talking about cars racing or high-performance sports cars, the topic of turbochargers usually comes up. Turbochargers also appear on large diesel engines.
Turbochargers are getting more popular nowadays which lots of engine designed to have turbochargers. A turbo can significantly boost an engine’s horsepower without significantly increasing its weight, and that is the huge benefit that makes turbochargers so popular.
Turbochargers are high precision “air pump”, used to supply more air into the engine by harnessing on the usually wasted energy in the engine exhaust. They compress the air flowing into the engine. The advantage of compressing the air is that it lets the engine squeeze more air into a cylinder. More air means that more fuel can be added. Therefore, more power from each explosion in each cylinder. Turbocharged engines produce more power overall than then same engine without the turbocharged.
A turbocharger consists of a turbine and a compressor linked by a shared axis. The turbine inlet receives exhaust gases from the engine exhaust manifold causing the turbine wheel to rotate. This rotation drives the compressor, compressing ambient air and delivering it to the air intake of the engine.
For anyone who interested using turbo for more power and acceleration you just call me because I know someone professional mechanic in turbo installation.

..me ‘vs’ high heels..

“Heels do not need to be long and thin to be considered fashionable. But no matter what the length of your heel, take extra caution to keep your balance and place the least amount of strain on your muscles”

That just one of the statement that I read about high heels. I’m just like another girl over there who really love shoes ( high heels or flat shoes ). It’s one of other way to make me satisfied. Even tough sometimes I need to choose whether shoes or other things that I really want. This article also give a good suggestion about the truth instructor to wear a high heels. It’s give you the best way to avoid u from get any problem or pain when wear it. And I know that we must make sure our leg in balance for make us suitable when have a long journey.
It’s also told that driving a car with high heels is a bad thing that we do because we don't have quite as much control over the car, and we can damage the back of your shoe. The best way is spent about 2 pair another shoes or slippers to make you suitable in drive. For another girl or woman that really loves shoes over there, if you think that high heels will make your leg look better and longer, it also can wreak havoc on your feet, especially when regularly over long periods of time. The best choose is in your hand.

How to Pay Attention in a Dull Class
When you can't seem to keep your eyes open or they just glaze over, here's how to make education educational.
Steps
1. Recognize that the instructor is human and wants your attention. Like a little kid, they eat up attention and will do just about anything to get it.
2. Position your seat in the second or third row, making sure someone is sitting directly in front of you.
3. Make eye contact with the teacher, nod when you understand, give quizzical looks when you don't understand. Watch the teacher repeat the info you don't quite get. Remember that they are speaking only to you because they have your attention.
4. You can now manipulate this teacher all over the front of the room, sort of like remote control. Stop the eye contact by moving just a little until your line of sight is blocked by the person in front. Notice how they will move to regain the eye contact. You make sure that the move is a little closer to the corner. When they get there, reward them with your eye contact, and then repeat and move them closer to the corner. Keep doing this until they are fully in the corner.
5. Remember while doing all this you are learning the material and having a little fun too.
6. Take tons of notes and review them that night. Ask question if you don't understand something.
Tips
• This works great in a college classroom where everyone has their head down in a notebook and you are the only one seemingly paying attention.

This article about how to pay attention in a dull class. i am sure that every students has been in this situation even ince in their life. the steps that has been given are good for us as a student to try if we are in a dull class or with a boring teacher. we cannot blame on other as a reason why the class is so boring but we should find the solutions to turn the situation around. don't ever care if everyone would say that youare teachers pet because all you have done is to get the knowledge from that class. so let's be a good student!

Nicol David: Thanks for the glory
By : MOHD FAIZAL ABDULLAH, Kuala Lumpur

A LEGEND in the making. A role model. The perfect shining example for all Malaysian sportsmen and sportswomen to emulate. And the time has come for all our national sports persons to look up to our very own role model -- world squash champion Datuk Nicol Ann David.
No need to look to Michael Phelps, the Williams sisters, Maria Sharapova or Usain Bolt as role models. Once again, Nicol has made Malaysians proud by flying even higher the Malaysian flag in Manchester by regaining squash's most prestigious title -- the world crown.

She is now three times world title holder and world No. 1, and still standing tall, proud and mighty.

If only our national sportsmen and sportswomen can achieve what the never-say-die and unbeatable and passionate squash player of the 21st century has accomplished.

Nicol has set the benchmark or key performance index (KPI) for the nation's athletes to follow in order to be the world's best in their own fields.
With the country's athletes in various sports in decline, it will take years or probably into the next century to achieve what Nicol has achieved.

From a Malaysian to a Malaysian, my heartiest congratulations to Nicol for the win and for being the only Malaysian to put Malaysia on the world map in squash over and over again -- the only sport that has brought recognition to Malaysia.

I think everyone knows or should knows who is Datuk Nicol Ann David as known as Nicol David, the No. ! squash player in the world. i am very proud of her because once again, she regaining th eworld crown in Manchester. maybe it is easy to be a No. 1 than to maintain be a No. 1 but Nicol David has proved that everything in this world is not impossible if we never give up. she had become world title holder and world No. 1 in three times. congrats Nicol! i am proud to be one of your fans.

Life insurance

Did you know it important have insurance for your life?
Life insurance provides a monetary benefit to a descendant’s family or other designated beneficiary, and may specifically provide for income to an insured person's family, burial, funeral and other final expenses. Life insurance policies often allow the option of having the proceeds paid to the beneficiary either in a lump sum cash payment or an annuity. Annuities provide a stream of payments and are generally classified as insurance because they are issued by insurance companies and regulated as insurance and require the same kinds of actuarial and investment management expertise that life insurance requires. Annuities and pensions that pay a benefit for life are sometimes regarded as insurance against the possibility that a retiree will outlive his or her financial resources. In that sense, they are the complement of life insurance and, from an underwriting perspective, are the mirror image of life insurance. Certain life insurance contracts accumulate cash values, which may be taken by the insured if the policy is surrendered or which may be borrowed against. Some policies, such as annuities and endowment policies, are financial instruments to accumulate or liquidate wealth when it is needed

Common elements of music are pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics, and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture. The word derives from Greek μουσική (mousike), "(art) of the Muses".

The creation, performance, significance, and even the definition of music vary according to culture and social context. Music ranges from strictly organized compositions (and their recreation in performance), through improvisational music to aleatoric forms. Music can be divided into genres and subgenres, although the dividing lines and relationships between music genres are often subtle, sometimes open to individual interpretation, and occasionally controversial. Within "the arts", music may be classified as a performing art, a fine art, and auditory art.

To people in many cultures, music is inextricably intertwined into their way of life. Greek philosophers and ancient Indians defined music as tones ordered horizontally as melodies and vertically as harmonies. Common sayings such as "the harmony of the spheres" and "it is music to my ears" point to the notion that music is often ordered and pleasant to listen to. However, 20th-century composer John Cage thought that any sound can be music, saying, for example, "There is no noise, only sound." According to musicologist Jean-Jacques Nattiez, "the border between music and noise is always culturally defined—which implies that, even within a single society, this border does not always pass through the same place; in short, there is rarely a consensus.… By all accounts there is no single and intercultural universal concept defining what music might be, except that it is 'sound through time'."

actually i don't know why I'm post this article here. maybe because I'm totally bored and really need to hear the song. song was the unique sound with melody and rhythm that combine to make the good sound. hearing song was a way to release tension and rests. that was about many kind of music such as jazz, classic, pop and other. for me, I've like to hear the classical and jazz& pop song such japan-pop song.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Abagnale

I actually know this guy after watching the movie 'catch me if you can'.Well, after all the movie was all about him actually.Although the film itself had been twisted a bit for dramatic purposes.

You see, Frank William Abagnale Jr. was a very talented con-man. Yes,he is a criminal. He is a brilliant trickster, forger and impostor.More surprisingly, he started all that at the age of 16.
He was a specialist in check fraud, where he had actually managed to print his own almost-perfect copies of checks, depositing them and persuading banks to advance the cash to his accounts.During that time, he had at least impersonates as 8 different persons.

He had impersonates as pilot, teacher, doctor, attorney, and even when he got prisoned,he play the role as an undercover prison inspector.Which helped him to get out of there.Eventually, he got busted anyway. After serving his prison time, the FBI got him to associated with them on check fraud cases.

He now has his own firm that advises the bussiness world on fraud.

What actually I want to say is, with a rock-solid confident, well-prepared, hardwork,a bit of luck, you can succeed in anything you do.How can you tell?just look at this guy, Frank William Abagnale Jr.

Can we trace calls made by Nurin’s killer?

I AM writing this regarding the murder of Nurin Jazimin.

When viewing the CCTV footage of the suspect, I noticed that he was using his mobile phone during the first minute of the video.

Is it possible that the date and time of the video could be used to track the suspect’s hand-phone number by checking the log files of all mobile telco substations serving that area?

If a record of all mobile phone connections done in that area at that particular time can be obtained, then I believe it is possible to trace the suspect’s number and also all records of phone calls made by the suspect.

This may help the police in opening up leads and shed some light to this unsolved case.

“Thalassemia (say "thal-uh-SEE-mee-uh") is an inherited blood disorder that causes the body to produce less hemoglobin. Hemoglobin helps red blood cells spread oxygen all through your body. Low levels of hemoglobin may cause anemia, an illness that makes you feel weak and tired. Severe cases of anemia may damage organs and result in death”

I’m only lost my best friend about 2 month ago causes by thalessemia. It’s one of the new pain that u can’t see physically but it make you weak a day an a day. It’s divided by two that thalssemia beta and thalessemia minor. It is an inherited blood disorder, get from parent to child. Both parents have a gene to pass it to their child. And it’s can make the child have thalessemia beta. But if only mother or father have gene, maybe 25% chance can pass to the children. Almost people who get this thalessemia can’t do many job because it’s can make them weak. For the people that have last stage for thalessemia, they need to do transfer blood every month to help them to their work usually.
And now, government with medical staff very active to give information about this sickness to other people. It’s can help from parents pass it to their children. And if both of the parents have, the doctor can give suggestion how to handle and care about their child healthy. Beware for the symptom and you can help your child have a great day like other children.

Hye everyone..

I have read about the article that has five easy steps to a flat stomach. To really lose the fat, strengthen the abs, and develop real six pack abs, follow these five easy steps.

1. Write down in a notebook everything you eat for three days; be sure to estimate the quantity as closely as you can.

2. Do a search on the internet for calorie counters to find out the calorie content of the foods you've listed. Then list the calories for each item on your list.

3. Add up your total calories for the three days, and then divide by three. This is your average daily calorie consumption.

4. Determine where you can cut 250 calories per day by analyzing where you are consuming excessive calories, or calories with little nutritional value. Don’t forget to include what you drink.

5. Begin some type of exercise to burn 250 additional calories per day. These can include your abdominal exercises of course, but if you want to supercharge your calorie burn, try and incorporate some aerobic training. It doesn't take much exercise to burn 250 calories. Walking just 2-3 miles will accomplish this for most people.

I hope this article can help us to make our healthy always in a good condition. For mens, to avoid us from have a big stomach in the future, let’s try these tips. Good Luck!

SHOE!!!

Shoe polish is applied to the shoe using a rag, cloth, or brush. Shoe polish is not a cleaning product, and therefore the footwear should be both clean and dry before application. A vigorous rubbing action to apply the polish evenly on the boot, followed by further buffing with a clean dry cloth or brush, usually provides good results.[1] Another technique, known as spit-polishing or bull polishing, involves gently rubbing polish into the leather with a cloth and a drop of water or spit. This achieves the mirror-like, high-gloss finish sometimes known as a spit shine which is especially valued in military organizations. Polishes containing carnauba wax can be used as a protective coating to extend the life and look of a leather shoe.[2]

A banana peel being used to clean and polish shoesShoe polish may be purchased pre-soaked into a hard sponge, which can be used to buff leather without needing to apply any additional polish to either the leather or the sponge. This is usually known as an applicator. A number of companies that manufacture shoe care products also sell a liquid shoe polish in a squeezable plastic bottle, with a small sponge applicator at the end. To decrease its viscosity, bottled polish usually has a very low wax content.

There are many products closely related to shoe polish, but not strictly considered as such. Other chemical products may be used to clean and shine shoes—in particular whiteners for white shoes, and a variety of sprays and aerosols for cleaning and waterproofing suede shoes.[3] A banana peel can also be used to effectively shine shoes.[4]

Although shoe polish is primarily intended for leather shoes, some brands specify that they may be used on non-porous materials, such as vinyl. The polish is generally the same colour as the shoes it will be used upon, or it may be neutral, lacking any intrinsic colour.

WAHH!!!
there are a lot style to shine our shoe..
it is interesting.. now i learn how o polish my shoe without using the shoe polish.. just use banana peel.. amazing rite.. but try it..
you will see the result..

What is true love?
"I love you" – the three magic words which keep the world going round.

How many times have we said "I love You" to the person who have stepped into our lives with some magic. And how many times have we heard it ourselves? Why do we say "I love You" – what do we mean by it really ?

Do we say because it’s the normal thing to say, because for the sake of saying it only, because we have nothing else to say or is it that the words are music to the ears of that other person. What do you understand of the meaning of true love? And where do you find it ?

Before hunting for the answers, let us first recap of our own understanding of the word Love. True Love is strictly a low of warm energy that bonds two people in a sharing and common relationship, on a single platform. If a relationship is a tiny sapling, love is the water of life which makes it grow into a mammoth.

So if love is that secret life force, life energy, and its freely available in all our hearts, why are so miserly to give it ? Is it our fear of loss, feeling of insecurity or vulnerability that holds us back?

If you look carefully, love is something that grows inside us. It does not grow on trees that you pick at random when you want it. To be able to get love, we must learn how to give it first. Love exists in the deepest part of all our souls, as a jewel or a lamp that needs to be kindled for the energy to flow out.

If you start by having a closer re-look at your self, think how much love do you have for your own self? How far do you accept your self the way you are?

The quantum of love that you attract from those around you is exactly the same amount you give away. We mirror what is already existing in our souls. Never expect love from something, if you don’t have love for it your self.

This brings us to the critical question – are you prepared enough to fall in love ? Can you let go of your ego, pride and insecurities, and be ready just to give ?

Don’t hold back your love for the fear of hurt, just because you lost out on one relationship. Stopping to love is equal to stopping to love yourself. While we look for love, its management, and the consequent happiness is in our hands. So open up your mind’s eyes and let love roll in.

from the article i only can said that..
before we gat in love with someone..
better we fall in love with our self first..
we need to know ourself first before we get in love with someone that we love..

The beauty of life, is that you don't have to be modernly beautiful to live it. ~C.S. Lewis

My comment upon this article goes like this,

Beauty lies on the eyes of the beholder. This is surprisingly true! Until today, I believe that everyone is beautiful in their very own ways. No one should be feeling ugly or hideous. Because they are creations of God and I believe God has created us with good reasons. Anyway, I have my own ugly days. Whenever I feel ugly, I hate to look in the mirror to see this unwanted face of mine. And I would express this to my boyfriend, and as usual he would always say that I am the most beautiful girl in his life! No one would be more beautiful than me that he have ever met. I know this sounds 'yucky' to you but I feel glad to have him for all of his words of encouragement and moral supports. He able to understand me, that's the most important thing. So to all girls out there, you should be feeling beautiful on the inside and on the outside. Of course, you are special and different from the rest. Thank God!

How to Develop Your Self-Confidence.

Possessing confidence in yourself is possibly one of the most important qualities you could ever acquire. Believing in yourself and knowing that anything is possible and nothing is out of your reach will lead to many wonderful and great things in your life. So, I pose this question to each of you: Are you confident in yourself?

If you have suffered from low self-esteem, then you most likely don’t know what it feels like to be confident in yourself. While confidence won’t bloom overnight, it will grow over time when you begin to work on it.

Free Yourself From Doubt
One thing that leads to a lack of confidence is doubt in one’s self. When you are constantly unsure of everything you do, that doubts feeds on itself. Eventually, you end up doubting and second-guessing yourself all the time. Most of the time, you do it so much on a regular basis that it becomes a way of life and you don’t even realize you’re doing it anymore.

Believe In Yourself
You must believe in yourself. You have to know deep in your heart that anything is possible for yourself. As you begin to practice believing in yourself, you combat self-doubt and fear. Belief in yourself works like laying a strong foundation. You begin pouring concrete of self-belief. Before long, you’ve built a rock-solid foundation.

You will stop doubting yourself and wondering if you made the right decision. You will know every time that you did the right thing and made the best possible choices for yourself.

Believe In Your Abilities
It’s one thing to believe in yourself and another to believe in what you can do. While you might find it somewhat easy to begin believing in yourself, actually applying that inner confidence to your life might not be quite so simple for you.

Don’t let any opportunity pass you by anymore, just because you are afraid you will be a failure. Someone wise once said that it is better to have tried and failed than to never have tried at all. Every time you try, you are showing the world that you believe in yourself and you believe in your talents and skills. Let them shine through.

Remember, confidence in yourself is not something to be expected to happen overnight. You have to work on this every day of your life. Every baby step leads to another one. Get rid of all that self-doubt, start believing in yourself and your skills, then kick your life into action

Hey there madame,
I have this aunt who would always tell me to have a good self-confidence since I was a kid. She let me to speak up my mind but in the same time I should know to behave myself especially to the elders. And now, I thank her for educating me to have a self-confidence because everybody needs it in their life, especially when we are studying or working.

I believe, with self-confidence, people around me would give respect to me and would also treat me like I deserved.

From this article, I have learnt that, I should believe in myself and my own abilites, plus, I should not doubt my own self. This is called a self-faith where you should believe in yourself in whatever things that you're doing.

With self-confidence too, I am sure one can be succesful in anything that she or he does. Thus, this is crucial and everybody should take note about this matter.
Be confident!

The seconds articles that I already reads is about the skin cancer. If we had been reading newspaper or listening to news regularly over the past few years, we should have come across several warnings telling us to protect ourselves from skin cancer.., we are likely to think that it's impossible for you to get affected by skin cancer. Again, we might feel it to be no harm, if you miss applying sun tan lotion while moving out.
Skin cancer is not a rare phenomenon, as people consider it to be. Whilst it's true that staying unprotected in the sun for short duration seldom leads to cancer.we might still face its wrath. Most women get affected with skin cancer after exposing themselves to the sun for a long period of time. As a matter of fact, almost 75% of women diagnosed with it every year have a history of constant sun exposure. Although cancer might occur after severe sunburns, in the sun.
If we stay long in an open environment for long periods and get frequently bathed by sun without having any protection on our skin we are at high risk for skin cancer? Again, is there any spot on our skin, which has been bothering us for long? Can it be cancerous? Definite diagnosis can only be made once a biopsy is performed.Over 99 percent of women, who are diagnosed with cancer on their skin, have:Basal cell skin cancer: Women developing these sores find that a pimple or a scab grows on their skin, bleeds or drains, and then scabs again. This cycle is seen to continue repeatedly and has been found tough to heal completely.

More than 250,000 birth certificates issued without fathers' names

The National Registration Department has issued 257,411 birth certificates which do not carry the fathers’ names from 2000 until July this year, the Dewan Rakyat was told today.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar said the father’s name could not be recorded in the birth certificate of illegitimate children, namely children born out of wedlock, except at the joint request of the mother and the person who admitted to being the father.

This was in keeping with the provisions of section 13 of the Registration of births and deaths Act 1957, he said in reply to R. Sivarasa (PKR-Subang).

However, under section 28 of the act, the registrar had the right to get information on the legitimate parents as soon as possible for every birth to be registered, he said.

This meant that the registrar could conduct investigation to obtain the information, he added.

comment:
hi everybody,ok for this article for me i think i am not quiet suprise but honestly sad because that amount very big and huge.for me i think this case very important to avoid or handle it because as the country based on islamic culture we know that the sex without wed lock is illegal in islam and also other religion.i think in this problem,we cannot blame 100% to their parents.but for me is major in this problem it because or son or daughter.we know that many teenager had ran away from house because followed their boyfriend.also many teenager has live together without any relationship.and make that this problem.so i advise all of you get our job to handle this major problem for our nation in the future..

'Don't be fooled by fake question spotters'

KUALA LUMPUR: Students and parents should not be fooled by parties who claim that they are able to spot examination questions.

In giving this advice, Education Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein urged them not to fall prey to those who take advantage of the desperation of students during the weeks leading to major examinations.

"People who claim that they can accurately spot and predict questions are in fact cheating the students," he said when commenting on a News Straits Times front-page report yesterday on tuition centres providing tips on examination questions for a fee.

"My ministry will be monitoring the situation."

He said the ministry was doing its best to ensure that there were no leakages in the questions for the coming Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia and Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia examinations.

He also hoped that with the reforms he planned to introduce in primary schools by 2010, emphasis on examinations would be reduced and pupils would not have to rely so much on spotting questions and going for tuition.

"Instead we would focus more on a holistic approach towards education and class based assessments."

The NST had reported that as government examinations were drawing near, tuition centres were providing tutorials on how to answer questions with tips on questions that may appear, all for a fee.

Students afraid to miss out on anything that might get them their As, pester their parents to send them to these tutorials and seminars offering, among others, spotted questions.

It was also reported that two- or three-day seminars can cost between RM140 and RM205 per student, and that there were also examinations packages that cost between RM100 and RM200 each.

National Union of the Teaching Profession secretary-general Lok Yim Pheng had stated that she was against students being too reliant on last minute examination tips offered for a fee, and that such tipsters were not doing anything positive to help students prepare for examinations.

comment

hi we meet again.for this news, for me question spotter make the student became harder to success in future and make also the 'Dasar Pendidikan Kebangsaan' which based only in exam orientation become weaker and also not get the quality product.when the student success with question spotter it,when he or she going to matriculation or university, this student cannot catch up and understand the syllibus in the university because in this stage student will introduce the subject which have the continous from the subject that she or he learn in school institution.for me this spotter question occur when the teacher who very selfish and always think about the school reputation and unhonest to self have give the spotter question to studen.when i was in form 5,my friends and i get many question from the huge school like sbp and mjsc which had the teacher who make the spm question.so that why many question spotter occur.lastly for whi take spm this year i hpoe you all ready and got all straight A1.good luck

Nie fun in Johor

SOME 100 teachers in Johor had a pleasant time at the 11th Star-NiE (Newspaper in Education) workshop held in Segamat recently.

They designed newspaper pages and eagerly answered questions raised by Star-NiE trainer Lucille Dass during the half-day programme.

The participants were mainly English Language teachers from both primary and secondary schools in the nearby districts of Mersing, Kluang, Batu Pahat and Muar

comment:newspaper in education is a programme to improve english among secondary school student. it is organize by the star newspaper and travel all around school in Malaysia. I interested with this article because I once participate in this programme in my secondary school. I found it is really interesting and benefit me so much.
