The leading cause of holiday stress is money issues, according to a recent poll by the American Psychological Association (APA). The survey found that 61 percent of Americans listed lack of money as the top cause of family tensions, holiday blues and depression--followed by the pressures of gift-giving, shortage of time and credit card debt. Additionally, younger Americans today--faced with a tougher economy and less savings--worry more about gift-giving and a lack of money compared to people over the age of 35.
"People believe that they can go out and buy gifts because it's the holidays, even if they can't afford to do so," says Dorothy Cantor, a noted psychologist and former APA president. "Not only is it stressful to feel that you have to buy everyone an expensive gift, but you'll also be stressed for the rest of the year trying to pay your bills. You can show love and caring by giving something that you know is meaningful and personal that doesn't have to cost a lot."

While managing money issues during the holiday season can be a challenge, financial experts agree that you can minimize tensions by planning ahead, exhibiting patience and managing expectations. Cantor recommends that families first establish priorities for themselves then develop a strategy and a budget to make the holiday season enjoyable and worry-free.

From here, I think that we need to make an agreement with family members to discuss holiday spending and finances before you make any purchases. The goal here is to learn one another's thoughts and feelings about priorities and wishes.I think that be realistic, decide together on a budget and only use cash, rather than using credit card.

GEORGE TOWN: A gold supplier from Dubai and a local goldsmith were robbed of 5.9kg of gold bars worth US$240,000 (RM840,000) by three armed robbers at the Penang International Airport in Bayan Lepas here.
State CID chief Senior Asst Comm (II) Wan Abdullah Tuanku Said said the goldsmith was escorting his supplier, who had just arrived from Dubai, to his car when two gunmen suddenly ran towards them at 10.30am yesterday.
“At the car park, the men forced the victims to squat and lower their heads.
“A third person appeared and grabbed the two bags containing the gold bars, which had been placed on the back seat.
“The robbery was over within minutes. The robbers, in their early 30s, spoke to each other in a foreign language, which according to the victims, sounded like Vietnamese,” he said when met at the scene.
SAC Wan Abdullah said police believe the robbers fled in a car, which was parked outside the car park, adding that the victims’ vehicle was parked about 40m from the departure hall’s entrance.
“The victims did not see the escape vehicle as they were too shocked to react.
There were many vehicles at the car park but there were no witnesses as no one was there to pick up their cars at that time.
“The victims later sought help from the airport police before lodging a report at the Bayan Lepas police station,” he said, adding that police have set up roadblocks to try to nab the robbers.
Police are now trying to determine how the robbers had information on the gold supplier’s arrival which was only known to very few people. This is the second such incident at the airport in the past month.
On Aug 27, two men armed with automatic pistols shot a moneychanger before grabbing two bags on an airport trolley.
However, they missed RM1.9mil kept in another suitcase.

From the above, nowadays the robbery cases are very common or in the other words is very serious. This issue is cause by many factors such as incoming illegal labours. Therefore the government need to take some actions to overcome this serious issue.I think that government should attach importance to the robbery cases and return a peaceful home to dumb millions.

BEIJING - Everyone needs some chicken soup for the soul — even pandas.

The Wuhan Zoo in central China has been feeding its two pandas home-cooked chicken soup twice in a month to reduce stress and give them a nutritional boost, a zoo official said Friday.

He Zhihua said 3-year-old Xiwang and Weiwei — literally meaning "Hope" and "Greatness" — were tired and suffering from a little shock since the start Monday of the weeklong National Day holiday, one of the biggest travel seasons of the year.

On Wednesday, up to 30,000 people swarmed the zoo and about 1,000 tourists packed the panda enclosure, shouting to get the animals' attention, He said. The pandas paced restlessly.

"They had been getting less sleep, and they had to run around more," he said. "We felt it would be good to give them the soup because they were fatigued and had a bit of a shock."

Reflecting the Chinese tradition of drinking slow-cooked chicken soup for health, the zookeepers boiled roosters in water overnight and added a pinch of salt to the concentrated stock.

from here, we can know that some of foods like soup able to reduce the stress, not only for people, but also for animals. sometimes, people like to take chocolate or ice-cream to reduce the stress, and we know that these food not good for our health. also, it's able to be obesity..

EXERCISE increases lifespan by an average of one to four years for people who engage in moderate to difficult exercise routines. Those additional years will be healthy ones because exercise benefits the heart, lungs, bones and muscles. Even moderate exercise has warded off many dreaded diseases.
Walking briskly for three hours -- about half an hour with a day of rest -- per week can reduce your chances of developing many chronic health problems.

Exercise benefits your brain too. Exercise causes the production of the brain's endorphins -- the body's own morphine-like substances -- that promotes a "feel good" effect.

Thus, exercise may alleviate depression and enhance self-image as well as the quality of life. It can promote weight loss. Of course, it is well known that exercise can aid in the prevention of a number of diseases, including heart disease and diabetes.

Exercise can benefit thegene level. A new evidence was presented in an article entitled, "Endurance exercise as a countermeasure for aging", published on Aug 20 in the online journal Diabetes. Researchers concluded that the reduction in insulin sensitivity that often occurred in one's later years might not be an inevitable consequence of aging.
We have assumed all along that we will become increasingly less sensitive to insulin as we age. In fact, there is a notion that "you will eventually become diabetic if you live long enough".

We have believed for a long time that the only way to prevent this condition was by severe calorie restriction. We have seen that underfed animals live longer.

This new study was done by researchers at the world-famous Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. They sought to determine whether long-term endurance training could improve lowered insulin sensitivity.

from this, the exercise is very good for everyone and give effect for our lifespan. also, it give many benefit for our health, body, brain and others. so, we must spare a few minute, at least, three times in a week for exercise.

The English word love can have a variety of related but distinct meanings in different contexts. Often, other languages use multiple words to express some of the different concepts which English relies mainly on love to encapsulate; one example is the plurality of Greek words for "love". Cultural differences in conceptualizing love thus make it doubly difficult to establish any universal definition.
Although the nature or essence of love is a subject of frequent debate, different aspects of the word can be clarified by determining what isn't "love". As a general expression of positive sentiment (a stronger form of like), love is commonly contrasted with hate (or neutral apathy); as a less sexual and more emotionally intimate form of romantic attachment, love is commonly contrasted with lust; and as an interpersonal relationship with romantic overtones, love is commonly contrasted with friendship, though other definitions of the word love may be applied to close friendships in certain contexts.
When discussed in the abstract, love usually refers to interpersonal love, an experience felt by a person for another person. Loves often involves caring for or identifying with a person or thing, including oneself (cf. narcissism).
In addition to cross-cultural differences in understanding love, ideas about love have also changed greatly over time. Some historians date modern conceptions of romantic love to courtly Europe during or after the middle Ages, though the prior existence of romantic attachments is attested by ancient love poetry.
Because of the complex and abstract nature of love, discourse on love is commonly reduced to a thought-terminating cliché, and there are a number of common proverbs regarding love, from Virgil's "Love conquers all" to The Beatles' "All you need is love". Bertrand Russell describes love as a condition of "absolute value", as opposed to relative value. Theologian Thomas Jay Oord said that to love is to "act intentionally, in sympathetic response to others, to promote overall well-being".

I have read this article on 4th. October 2008 but I can't post it because I have no internet at my village. I love to read this article because I'm in love. From this article, I have learned more about love. Love is any of a number of emotions and experiences related to a sense of strong affection. The word love can refer to a variety of different feelings, states and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure "I loved that meal" to intense interpersonal attraction "I love my girlfriend". This diversity of meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states. As an abstract concept, love usually refers to a deep, ineffable feeling of tenderly caring for another person. Even this limited conception of love, however, encompasses a wealth of different feelings, from the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love to the nonsexual emotional closeness of familial and Platonic love to the profound oneness or devotion of religious love. Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts.
That's all....Adios
Wassalam....

How to Open a Bottle Without a Bottle Opener

101 Uses for an OpenerOpening a bottle without the benefit of an opener is something that many aspire to, ideally suffering no chipped teeth. In fact, there are many ways to open a bottle. Almost anything, (from a household appliance to street furniture) can be used to get a bottle open. Here we explore different methods of opening bottles.

For 'Crown' Cap Bottles
Examine your environment for suitable edges, crevices, slots, holes and shapes that might allow a bottle-top to be inserted.
Check if a real bottle-opener is available, as obviously this can save a lot of time.
Use the hole in a door jamb. Stick the bottle in sideways and apply horizontal pressure. Try not to spill.
Try opening the bottle with a lighter. It's not as easy as you'd think, but it's a knack which converts swear by. Flat-sided lighters work best.
Grip the bottle firmly, holding the neck in a thumbs-up manner, with your thumb on the cap. Your fingers should be wrapped around the neck of the bottle; the top finger should leave a lighter's width from the cap.
Insert the lighter bottom between your top finger and the bottom of the cap, aiming above the centre of the bone between your knuckle and first finger joint, such that the lighter is perpendicular to the finger bone.
Tighten your grip of the bottle and wrap that lighter lever around your finger. If you're holding the bottle right, the cap will pop off. Try it a few times to get the grip right, and it won't hurt.

Try vending machines. These are useful because they have a handy recessed coin return. Stick the cap in there and push down firmly. Use only strong metal installations
Try household items. It may be a hunt to find something effective:
Belt buckles work if they are the right shape. A spatula will work if you use the side
Children's ice skates may also work. The best skates for this purpose are the expensive ones with hollow sections in the blade. Unfortunately most people don't have those sort.

Car seat belt latches are the right shape for opening bottles. This is not recommended. If an alcoholic beverage is spilled in the car, it could lead to some very interesting questions if you are pulled over.
Metal nail clippers can be used to crimp off the lid. Open the clipper end as wide as possible, wedge one edge under the cap, and pry upwards. You should hear the compressed air being released. Go around the cap until it falls off.
Take two bottles, it is possible to open one of them - simply use the side of the cap as the lighter, described above, but be careful; if you don't use the side of the cap you might ending up opening the top one.

A paint can opener, the metal ones with the ring on the end work really well. Just put the nub at the top of the inside of the ring under the cap like a regular bottle opener.

The side of a regular radiator is usually rather efficient and spilling your beloved beverage is not too much of a problem. Just place the sticking-out part of the cap on the sharp edge of the radiator and pull down quickly and sharply.
Hotel hangers (the kind you can't steal), simply place the bottle under the bar, insert the cap into the hanger (where its connected to bar) and pop like a normal bottle opener.

sooo..here are many ways how we can open our botttle..the benifit from here is we can be more creative then the others and we can't waste our time to find bottle-opener

PREPARATION BEFORE HARI RAYA

Usually on the eve of the celebrations, family members, especially mothers and housewives, will be busy preparing food, cakes, sweets, biscuits and various delicacies to be served on the day of Hari Raya. Delicacies such as ketupat or rice cake and a meat cuisine called rendang are among the most famous cuisines that are served during this day. Other family members will help in other chores such as decorating and cleaning up the house.
Days before Hari Raya, house compounds, particularly those in the countryside will be lit up with oil lamps known as pelita or panjut. This display of oil lamps will reach its height on the 27th night of Ramadan, called the Tujuh Likur night. 'Likur' literally meaning a figure between 20 and 30, hence 'tujuh likur' means twenty seven. Originally during the early days of the arrival of Islam among the Malays, the purpose of lighting the oil lamps was to attract spirit of passed relatives and angels to descend to people's homes during the night of Lailatulqadar. However after ages has passed, such misconception is regarded counterfactual as much understanding of Islam were obtained. Nowadays the oil lamps are lit solely for decorative purposes.
It is customary for Malays to wear traditional Malay costumes. The dress for men is called baju Melayu while the women's are known as baju kurung and baju kebaya. Traditional textiles such as songket and batik are worn favourably during this day.
Muslims will attend Eid prayer in the morning and consecrate together harmoniously while taking the chance to meet and greet each other. Once the prayer is done, it is also common for Muslims in Malaysia to visit the grave of their loved ones. During this visit, they will clean the grave, perform the recital of the Yasin — a chapter (surah) from the Qur'an and also the tahlil or prayers for the deceased. All these are done in hope that their loved ones are blessed by God and they are spared from the punishment in the grave.
The rest of the day is spent visiting relatives or serving visitors. Hari Raya is a very joyous day for children for this is the day where adults are extra generous. Children will be given token sums of money, also known as duit raya from their parents and elders.
During the night, there are often celebrations with sparklers and firecrackers, albeit restrictions on playing firecrackers enforced by the authorities. Most firecracker stocks are purchased and smuggled illegally from black markets. Safety issues, especially among children are raised and alarming cases relating to injuries caused by playing firecrackers are often reported, which initially led to the banning of playing firecrackers. Despite of the enforcement of banning firecrackers, more Malay children turn to home-made firecrackers such as meriam buluh (bamboo cannon) as alternatives to commercial fireworks. Usually the lighting of firecrackers begins a few days before the end of Ramadan, and continues for about a week afterwards

comment:

I already had been in this situation for several times in my life. Eid Mubarak, as known as Hari Raya was celebrated by Muslims people around the world as a winner day after one month we had been through fasting month. For me, the preparation of Hari Raya is more happening in village rather than in town. Many people will back to their hometown during Hari Raya to celebrate with all of family members. This opportunity should be taken to meet and assemble with family members, cousins and friends and make a apologize between each other. I like to eat ‘ketupat’ and ‘rendang’ that made by my mother during Hari Raya. I think this is one of special moment for all Muslims people including myself.

History of chocolate
Chocolate has been used as a drink for nearly all of its history. The earliest record of using chocolate dates back before the Olmec. In November 2007, archaeologists reported finding evidence of the oldest known cultivation and use of cacao at a site in Puerto Escondido, Honduras, dating from about 1100 to 1400 BC. The residues found and the kind of vessel they were found in indicate that the initial use of cacao was not simply as a beverage, but the white pulp around the cacao beans was likely used as a source of fermentable sugars for an alcoholic drink. The Maya civilization grew cacao trees in their backyard, and used the cacao seeds it produced to make a frothy, bitter drink. Documents in Maya hieroglyphs stated that chocolate was used for ceremonial purposes, in addition to everyday life. The chocolate residue found in an early ancient Maya pot in Río Azul, Guatemala, suggests that Maya were drinking chocolate around 400 AD. In the New World, chocolate was consumed in a bitter, spicy drink called xocoatl, and was often flavored with vanilla, Chile pepper, and achiote (known today as annatto). Xocoatl was believed to fight fatigue, a belief that is probably attributable to the Theo bromine content. Chocolate was also an important luxury good throughout pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, and cacao beans were often used as currency. For example, the Aztecs used a system in which one turkey cost one hundred cacao beans and one fresh avocado was worth three beans. South American and European cultures have used cocoa to treat diarrhea for hundreds of years. All of the areas that were conquered by the Aztecs that grew cacao beans were ordered to pay them as a tax, or as the Aztecs called it, a "tribute".
Until the 1500s, no European had ever heard of the popular drink from the Central and South American peoples. It was not until the Spanish conquest of the Aztecs that chocolate could be imported to Europe, where it quickly became a court favorite. To keep up with the high demand for this new drink, Spanish armies began enslaving Mesoamericans to produce cacao. Even with cacao harvesting becoming a regular business, only royalty and the well-connected could afford to drink this expensive import. Before long, the Spanish began growing cacao beans on plantations, and using an African workforce to help manage them. The situation was different in England. Put simply, anyone with money could buy it. The first chocolate house opened in London in 1657. In 1689, noted physician and collector Hans Sloane developed a milk chocolate drink in Jamaica which was initially used by apothecaries, but later sold to the Cadbury brothers.
For hundreds of years, the chocolate making process remained unchanged. When the people saw the Industrial Revolution arrive, many changes occurred that brought the hard, sweet candy we love today to life. In the 1700s, mechanical mills were created that squeezed out cocoa butter, which in turn helped to create hard, durable chocolate. But, it was not until the arrival of the Industrial Revolution that these mills were put to bigger use. Not long after the revolution cooled down, companies began advertising this new invention to sell many of the chocolate treats we see today. When new machines were produced, people began experiencing and consuming chocolate worldwide.
I love to eat chocolate. Chocolate comprises a number of raw and processed foods that are produced from the seed of the tropical cacao tree. Chocolate has become one of the most popular flavors in the world. Gifts of chocolate molded into different shapes have become traditional on certain holidays: chocolate bunnies and eggs are popular on Easter, chocolate coins on Hanukkah, Santa Claus and other holiday symbols on Christmas, and hearts on Valentine's Day. Chocolate is also used in cold and hot beverages, to produce chocolate milk and hot chocolate. So I want to know where the chocolate came from. Then, I start to search about the history of the chocolate.
After read this article, I know where the chocolate came from until I can eat it now at Malaysia.

Every celebration has their own history.I have read article about hallowen history.
Halloween's origins date back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced sow-in).
The Celts, who lived 2,000 years ago in the area that is now Ireland, the United Kingdom, and northern France, celebrated their new year on November 1. This day marked the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark, cold winter, a time of year that was often associated with human death. Celts believed that on the night before the new year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred. On the night of October 31, they celebrated Samhain, when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth. In addition to causing trouble and damaging crops, Celts thought that the presence of the otherworldly spirits made it easier for the Druids, or Celtic priests, to make predictions about the future. For a people entirely dependent on the volatile natural world, these prophecies were an important source of comfort and direction during the long, dark winter.
To commemorate the event, Druids built huge sacred bonfires, where the people gathered to burn crops and animals as sacrifices to the Celtic deities.
During the celebration, the Celts wore costumes, typically consisting of animal heads and skins, and attempted to tell each other's fortunes. When the celebration was over, they re-lit their hearth fires, which they had extinguished earlier that evening, from the sacred bonfire to help protect them during the coming winter.
So, this celebration is next called as halloween.

Do you know what is butter?Butter is a dairy product made by churning fresh or fermented cream or milk. It is used as a spread and a condiment, as well as in cooking applications such as baking, sauce making, and frying. Butter consists of butterfat, water and milk proteins.
How butter been produce?
Unhomogenized milk and cream contain butterfat in microscopic globules. These globules are surrounded by membranes made of phospholipids (fatty acid emulsifiers) and proteins, which prevent the fat in milk from pooling together into a single mass. Butter is produced by agitating cream, which damages these membranes and allows the milk fats to conjoin, separating from the other parts of the cream. Variations in the production method will create butters with different consistencies, mostly due to the butterfat composition in the finished product. Butter contains fat in three separate forms: free butterfat, butterfat crystals, and undamaged fat globules. In the finished product, different proportions of these forms result in different consistencies within the butter; butters with many crystals are harder than butters dominated by free fats.
Churning produces small butter grains floating in the water-based portion of the cream. This watery liquid is called buttermilk—although the buttermilk most common today is instead a directly fermented skimmed milk. The buttermilk is drained off; sometimes more buttermilk is removed by rinsing the grains with water. Then the grains are "worked": pressed and kneaded together. When prepared manually, this is done using wooden boards called scotch hands. This consolidates the butter into a solid mass and breaks up embedded pockets of buttermilk or water into tiny droplets.
Commercial butter is about 80% butterfat and 15% water; traditionally-made butter may have as little as 65% fat and 30% water. Butterfat consists of many moderate-sized, saturated hydrocarbon chain fatty acids. It is a triglyceride, an ester derived from glycerol and three fatty acid groups. Butter becomes rancid when these chains break down into smaller components, like butyric acid and diacetyl. The density of butter is 0.911 g/cm3 (527 oz/in3), about the same as ice.
After read this article, i know from where and what butter is produce..

umbrella??

Think quickly! What is the first thing you think of when someone says “umbrella?” Chances are, like for many other people, you think of a device that protects you from the rain. But did you know that the umbrella was invented in ancient times and that its main purpose was not as a protection from the rain? Thousands of years ago, some person in ancient China or Egypt (there are dissenting opinions about the actual origin) got tired of baking in the sun and created an apparatus that provided them shade.

The first umbrella was made from silks and linens and looked more like the parasols used in Asian countries, even today. It took a while before someone decided to try and waterproof the umbrella as added protection from rain. Fast forward to today and you will find umbrellas in all shapes and sizes as well as an assortment of materials. In fact, the umbrella also offers a variety of uses depending on its type. Read on to find out about the various types of umbrellas that you can find all around the world:

Parasols – These umbrella-like devices are solely used as protection from the sun. You would most likely find them used in Asian countries like China.

Market Umbrellas – You would probably find these outdoors and its primary use is to offer shade. Outdoor markets and sidewalk cafes use these market umbrellas a lot. While many businesses in the United States use them, these originated in Europe. They are similar to other large umbrellas only they do not have the skirted valance.

Beach Umbrellas – From the famous black sands of Hawaii to the sands of the French Riviera, you will find these large umbrellas dotting the beaches offering up shade to tourists and beach lovers. These beach umbrellas have the skirted valance and are wide in diameter to protect one or more people at a time from the sun. They also usually have a spiky end that makes it perfect for anchoring in the sand.

Patio Umbrellas – These types of umbrellas you would probably associate with your own backyard. Sometimes they are part of your patio table and other times they could be stand alones. They can be as large as a beach umbrella or a smaller size. In addition, these patio umbrellas sometimes have added features like:

1. A tilting mechanism that allows you to adjust the shade coverage area as the sun moves.
2. Lights installed inside the umbrella that can be plugged in for evening time.
3. An offset arm that can extend the umbrella’s shade over an area like a pool or sidewalk.

comment:
there are many types of umbrella that we do not know.umbrella have many function that it can perform.
such as avoid from sun, rain and it also can use as function for a festival, dancing n performance. its also can be as present to somebody.maybe people will think that present look like not relevant but it very useful

DUMPY LEVEL..@ AUTOMATIC LEVEL

A dumpy level, builder's auto level, leveling instrument or automatic level is an optical instrument used in surveying and building to transfer, measure, or set horizontal levels.
The level instrument is set up on a tripod and, depending on the type, either roughly or accurately set to a leveled condition using footscrews (levelling screws). The operator looks through the eyepiece of the telescope while an assistant holds a tape measure or graduated staff vertical at the point under measurement. The instrument and staff are used to gather and/or transfer elevations (levels) during site surveys or building construction. Measurement generally starts from a benchmark with known height determined by a previous survey, or an arbitrary point with an assumed height.
A dumpy level is an older-style instrument that requires skilled use to set accurately. The instrument requires to be set level (see spirit level) in each quadrant, to ensure it is accurate through a full 360° traverse.
A variation on the dumpy and one that was often used by surveyors, where greater accuracy and error checking was required, is a tilting level. This instrument allows the telescope to be effectively flipped through 180°, without rotating the head. The telescope is hinged to one side of the instrument's axis; flipping it involves lifting to the other side of the central axis (thereby inverting the telescope). This action effectively cancels out any errors introduced by poor setup procedure or errors in the instrument's adjustment. As an example, the identical effect can be had with a standard builder's level by rotating it through 180° and comparing the difference between spirit level bubble positions.
An automatic level, self-levelling level or builder's auto level, includes an internal compensator mechanism (a swinging prism) that, when set close to level, automatically removes any remaining variation from level. This reduces the need to set the instrument truly level, as with a dumpy or tilting level. Self-levelling instruments are the preferred instrument on building sites, construction and surveying due to ease of use and rapid setup time.
A digital electronic level is also set level on a tripod and reads a bar-coded staff using electronic laser methods. The height of the staff where the level beam crosses the staff is shown on a digital display. This type of level removes interpolation of graduation by a person, thus removing a source of error and increasing accuracy.

comment:
automatic level or know as dumpy level is used for surveying. automatic level consist 3main part with is tripod, bubble tube and adjuster.tripod is used to stand the automatic level.while bubble tube is used to make the automatic level is balance.so from that we can take the accurate measurement.
adjuster divive by 3minor part, which is eyepiece, rotating adjuster and focus adjuster. eyepiece is use to see the object from a long distance n also can measure the high of hill.rotating adjuster is use to rotate the automatic level to the right and left, while focusing adjuster is use to see the shapen object.we will see the object is clear and easy to see the level.

hello....
have you heard Seven Wonders of the World? The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World is the first known list of the most remarkable man-made creations of classical antiquity. The Greek believe it to be the representation and plenity. The seven wonder of The World are consist Great Pyramid of Giza,
Hanging Gardens of Babylon,Statue of Zeus at Olympia, Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, Mausoleum of Maussollos at Halicarnassus, Colossus of Rhodes, and Lighthouse of Alexandria. Each of this structure have their own characteristics. Its show thie enginner on that time are great and creative.
In my opinion, we should take as an advantages to be like them. Is not easy the build something. They need a lot of cooperation from each of the member. I realise that it was difficult to be like them. Nevertheless, i believe it, i will also become succesful like them. thank you.

Whatever their reasons for buying a hard drive, shoppers usually compare the following features:

Storage Capacity: At first, those 80 gigabytes of storage may seem like way more than necessary, but as software is added, files are created and information is downloaded, those GBs will fill up fast. Then it’s time to either clean stuff out or buy an additional “container”. So for capacity’s sake, it’s better to go bigger.
Speed / Portability: Hard drives have platters that spin, and a read/write head or “needle” that reads them like a record player. Hard drives that
• have platters that spin faster (at higher RPM)
• can transfer information faster (media transfer rate)
• use less power
• are connected to the computer with speed-optimizing cables or cards
These drives can make a big difference in overall computer speed.
Some drives are installed inside a computer, while others can be connected externally. Portable or external hard drives are designed for frequent transport between computers. They generally hold much more information than the largest jump/flash/thumb drives. A general rule for choosing between them is: installed drives perform faster because it takes less time for them to exchange messages with the computer.
Shock Resistance / Heat / Sound: A hardy hard drive goes a long way toward preventing data loss. Shock resistance – how well a hard drive can take being dropped, banged, etc. – is especially important when considering portable drives. This is another good reason for a primary drive to be installed in a computer rather than connected externally.

Backup / Reliability: Extra hard drives -- especially portable ones -- make great backup solutions. Hard drives used primarily for backup should provide enough storage space to keep three copies of the main drive. For example, if a primary hard drive holds 100 gigabytes, but only 30 gigs are being used, backup drive space should total 90 GB to allow for multiple backups of all software and files.

comment:
There are four feature that we have to consider before buying hard disk:
-Storage Capacity
-Speed/Portability
-Shock Resistant
-Backup/Reliability
So before you buy any hard disk you should read this article.

Computer Viruses Types

Memory-Resident Viruses
Memory resident viruses are those viruses which stay in the primary computer memory (RAM). Since these types of viruses are constantly running as a process in the memory, they can have the most control of your computer. First, these viruses are not visible to the user. They run hidden and can send emails without you knowing, execute different applications, download or upload data, etc.
Multipartite Viruses
These types of viruses have the capability to self-replicate themselves. It means they can duplicate themselves. They achieve this by hijacking other executables on your system and embedding their code (application logic) inside other applications. These viruses can be most dangerous because even if you remove them from some files, you never would be 100% sure that they exist in some other applications.
Boot Sector Viruses
Boot sector viruses are not seen that much today with the advent of superior operating systems. But if you are using some of the older version operating systems, then you would sure find it tough to handle them. Boot sector viruses have the capability to load during system boot up. This means they not only have control over your applications but also your entire operating system. Typically, they load as a system driver while system boot-up.

Comment:
Every day we surf internet without knowing that it can risk our computer from affected by virus. First we have to know about virus, from this article I know that there are 3 type of virus, Memory Resident Viruses, Multipartite Viruses and boot sector Viruses, all this virus can slowly damage our computer.

Dinosaurs (Greek δεινόσαυρος, deinosauros) were the dominant vertebrate animals of terrestrial ecosystems for over 160 million years, from the late Triassic period (about 230 million years ago) to the end of the Cretaceous period (65 million years ago), when most of them became extinct in the Cretaceous–Tertiary extinction event. The 10,000 living species of birds have been classified as dinosaurs.

The term "dinosaur" was first coined in 1842 by Sir Richard Owen and derives from Greek δεινός (deinos) "terrible, powerful, wondrous" + σαῦρος (sauros) "lizard". It is sometimes used informally to describe other prehistoric reptiles, such as the pelycosaur Dimetrodon, the winged pterosaurs, and the aquatic ichthyosaurs, plesiosaurs and mosasaurs, although none of these were dinosaurs.

COMMENT :
I'm always interested in Dinosaurs. Everytime when discovery channel have programmes on dinosaurs i sure wont miss it. The most enjoyable part when i'm watching this kind of programme is the animation. How they show the habitat and movement of these Dinosaurs really motivated me wanting to know more about this creature. When i'm still a child i thought dinosaurs are just myths but now i know that Dinosaurs really do exist long long time ago.

What basic psychological needs do humans have?

Human being have basic needs for:

(1) The first one is the need for security. We need physical safety to survive and security becomes a psychological need. We define it as the need to know or believe that we will be free from physical and psychological harm (physical attacks on our body, and attacks on our self-respect and dignity) and that we will be able to satisfy our essential biological needs (for food, etc) and our need for shelter. We also need to feel that those we love are safe. Safety or security is the most basic of psychological needs.

(2) The need for effectiveness and control is another basic human need. Its fulfillment leads to the belief that we have the capacity to protect ourselves from harm (danger, attack, etc) and to fulfill our important goals. We also need to know that we can control our behavior toward others. As adults, self-control gives us confidence that we can lead purposeful lives and have the potential to impact our community and the world.

(3) Another basic need is for a positive identity and self-esteem. The fulfillment of this need requires us to develop and maintain a positive view or image of ourselves. A positive identity requires self-awareness and an acceptance of ourselves, including our limitations. It requires experience and learning about the world and ourselves in the world. This provides us with faith in our ability to become who we want to be.

(4) We also have a basic need for positive connection and esteem for others. This is a need to have close relationships to individuals and groups: intimate friendships, family ties, and relationships to communities.

(5) Independence or autonomy and self-trust is another basic need. It refers to the ability to make one's own decisions, one's own choices, to be not only connected but also separate. It means trusting one's own judgment and perceptions.

(6) Another basic need is for comprehension of reality or a world view. This is a need to understand people and the world (what they are like, how they operate, why people do what they do, why things happen as they do). It is the basis for understanding our place in the scheme of things. Our view of people helps us make sense of the world and of our relationships to people, places, institutions and life as a whole. Our comprehension of reality can help us create meaning in our lives. It can help us fit into the world and to have a vision of how we want to live life, our values and morals.

(7) Finally, we also have a need for spirituality, including transcendence of the self. This is a need to connect with something beyond the self. This need becomes especially important in later life, but the groundwork for its satisfaction is laid all through life. We can fulfill it through spiritual experiences or connection to God or other spiritual entities. We can fulfill our need for spirituality through the experience of connection with nature. We can fulfill it by creating higher, more universal meaning in our lives. We can also fulfill it by devoting ourselves to the welfare of people, either by directly helping people or by working for social change.

Great Pyramid of Giza

I already read the article that give me more imformation about The Great Pyramid of Giza c. 2560 B.C., the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza Necropolis The Great Pyramid of Giza, also called Khufu's Pyramid or the Pyramid of Khufu, and Pyramid of Cheops, is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza Necropolis bordering what is now Cairo, Egypt, and is the only remaining member of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It is believed the pyramid was built as a tomb for Fourth dynasty Egyptian King Khufu (Cheops in Greek) and constructed over a 20 year period concluding around 2560 BC. The Great Pyramid was the tallest man-made structure in the world for over 3,800 years. Originally the Great Pyramid was covered by casing stones that formed a smooth outer surface, and what is seen today is the underlying core structure. Some of the casing stones that once covered the structure can still be seen around the base. There have been varying scientific and alternative theories regarding the Great Pyramid's construction techniques. Most accepted construction theories are based on the idea that it was built by moving huge stones from a quarry and dragging and lifting them into place.

There are three known chambers inside the Great Pyramid. The lowest chamber is cut into the bedrock upon which the pyramid was built and was unfinished. The so-called[1] Queen's Chamber and King's Chamber are higher up within the pyramid structure. The Great Pyramid of Giza is the main part of a complex setting of buildings that included two mortuary temples in honor of Khufu (one close to the pyramid and one near the Nile), three smaller pyramids for Khufu's wives, an even smaller "satellite" pyramid, a raised causeway connecting the two temples, and small mastaba tombs surrounding the pyramid for nobles.

A unicorn (from Latin unus 'one' and cornu 'horn') is a mythological creature. Though the modern popular image of the unicorn is sometimes that of a horse differing only in the horn on its forehead, the traditional unicorn also has a billy-goat beard, a lion's tail, and cloven hooves—these distinguish it from a horse. Marianna Mayer has observed (The Unicorn and the Lake), "The unicorn is the only fabulous beast that does not seem to have been conceived out of human fears. In even the earliest references he is fierce yet good, selfless yet solitary, but always mysteriously beautiful. He could be captured only by unfair means, and his single horn was said to neutralize poison."

COMMENT :
I first hear about this amazing creature when i was in my primary school. Then i got the image of this creature when i watch the movie harry potter. I really thought that this creature do exist until i read the article from this website. It's about how the existence of Unicorn are being spread around. Most probably is due to the sighting of one horned animal. Unicorn are also related to other similar kinds of animal such as rhinoceros and narwhal.

Study skills
I search for this article because final exam will coming next week. I try to get the skill of the study to make my study more effective. Study skills are strategies and methods of purposeful learning, usually centered on reading and writing. Effective study skills are considered essential for students to acquire good grades in school, and are useful in general to improve learning throughout one's life, in support of career and other interests.
In the United Kingdom, studying a subject at university may sometimes be referred to as reading that subject. For example, "I am reading Physics at Oxford".
Some key study skills include:
• Removing distractions and improving concentration
• Maintaining a balance between homework and other activities
• Reducing stress, such as that caused by test anxiety
• Subject-specific study strategies
• Speed reading
• Note taking
• Preparing for exams
• Time Management
• Self Motivation
• Talking to other students
Study sessions
Many students find it hard to start working or work for too long when they do. If one finds himself avoiding starting work or seemingly finding ways out of studying then he should try to start studying for short periods of 10-15 minutes on a regular basis. This, if done properly, can help ease one into interrupting your normal daily routine enough to actually get some work done. When one finds that one can sit and concentrate (which are skills that need to be warmed up by this process as well) for longer periods then changing to a full study routine is possible.
If one finds that one study for too long then it can seem much more of a chore than it really has to be. Even students who really enjoy their subject can end up resenting the amount of work they have to do if they fall into ineffective study patterns. If this happens one may begin to fall into the avoiding-starting-to-study pattern.
A realistic study pattern (although it is better to find your own personal pattern) is that of a designated 2 hour session with a 5 minute break every half hour. During the 5 minutes be mindful to get away from the studying and do something that is both relaxing and different e.g. get a breath of fresh air or a drink of water. Make sure that you end the 2 hour session whether you have completed what you have been studying or not and commit to return to that point in the next 2 hour session.
In between sessions try to do something you enjoy or something new and refreshing. It is sometimes easy to view times of study as mundane but they can also be times where you try new experiences and be creative. At first it may seem a little hard to think of things that you don't normally do and might enjoy and it is different for everyone. Some examples may include going to the park, watching a DVD, painting a picture, going to a museum, meeting friends (but preferably not talking about study), learning a musical instrument, watching a sporting event that you do not normally attend, reading a novel, playing a new sport, etc... It is important to attempt to change a revision period to a time where you are choosing to experience new things as well as choosing to learn new things, which is a much more positive way to approach studying
Preparing for exams
Preparing for an exam requires a good understanding of what is expected of you, a rigid work-life balance than maximizes your energy and strengths, a certain amount of self discipline, and a set of study skills that are effective, varied, and interesting.
It is a basic premise that the more that you use information (read it, speak about it, draw it, write it, use it etc...) the more you remember and the longer you will remember it.
The PQRST Method
The method that many students who like to add an overt structure to their learning to keep them on track is the PQRST method. It helps the student focus on studying and prioritizing the information in a way that relates directly to how they will be asked to use that information in an exam. The method can also be modified to suit any particular form of learning in most subjects. It can also allow more accurate timing of work so instead of having to decide how much time to attribute to one whole topic you can decide how long it might take to preview the material and then each step after that.
1. Preview: Look at the topic you have to learn by glancing over the major headings or the points in the syllabus.
2. Question: Formulate questions that you would like to be able to answer once you have finished the topic. It is important that you match as much as possible what you would like to know to your syllabus or course direction. This allows a certain flexibility to take in other topics that may aid your learning of the main point or if you are just interested. Make sure that your questions are neither more specific nor more open-ended than they might be in an exam.
3. Read: Read through your reference material that relates to the topic you want to learn for your exam being mindful to pick out the information that best relates to the questions you wish to answer.
4. Summary: This is the most flexible part of the method and allows individual students to bring any ways that they used to summarize information into the process. This can include making written notes, spider diagrams, flow diagrams, labeled diagrams, mnemonics, making a voice recording of you summarizing the topic, or any method that feels most appropriate for what has to be learned. You can combine several methods as long as this doesn't extend the process too long as you may lose sight that you are merely seeking to use the information in the most appropriate way.
5. Test: Use this step to assess whether you have focused on the important information and stayed on topic. Answer the questions that you set for yourself in the Question section as fully as you can as this using of the information is another way of using the information and remembering more of it. This section also reminds you to continually manipulate the information so that is focused on whatever form of assessment that it is needed for. It is sometimes easy to lose sight of the point of learning and see it as a task to be completed mundanely. Try to avoid adding questions that you didn't formulate in the Q section.

That's all the article which I can put it in this blog. I will give the other skill to madam noli in my assignment which i'll give it to her.
thanx....

History of Milk

Milking has its advent in the very evolution of placental mammals. While the exact time of its appearance is not known, the immediate ancestors of modern mammals were much like monotremes, including the platypus. Such animals today produce a milk-like substance from glands on the surface of their skin, but without the nipple, for their offspring to drink after hatching from their eggs. Likewise, marsupials, the closest cousin to placental mammals, produce a milk-like substance from a teat-like organ in their pouches. The earliest immediate ancestor of placental mammals known seems to be eomaia, a small creature superficially resembling rodents that is thought to have lived 125 million years ago, during the Cretaceous era. It almost certainly produced what would be considered milk, in the same way as modern placental mammals.
Animal milk is first known to have been used as human food at the beginning of animal domestication. Cow milk was first used as human food in the Middle East. Goats and sheep were domesticated in the Middle East between 9000 and 8000 BC. Goats and sheep are ruminants: mammals adapted to survive on a diet of dry grass, a food source otherwise useless to humans, and one that is easily stockpiled. The animals were probably first kept for meat and hides, but dairying proved to be a more efficient way of turning uncultivated grasslands into sustenance: the food value of an animal killed for meat can be matched by perhaps one year's worth of milk from the same animal, which will keep producing milk — in convenient daily portions — for years.
Around 7000 BC, cattle were being herded in parts of Turkey. There is evidence from DNA extraction of skeletons from the Neolithic period that people in northern Europe were missing the necessary genes to process lactase. Scientists claim it is more likely that the genetic mutation allowing the digestion of milk arose at some point after dairy farming began. The use of cheese and butter spread in Europe, parts of Asia and parts of Africa. Domestic cows, which previously existed throughout much of Eurasia, were then introduced to the colonies of Europe during the Age of exploration.
Milk was first delivered in bottles on January 11, 1878. The day is now remembered as Milk Day and is celebrated annually. The town of Harvard, Illinois also celebrates milk in the summer with a festival known as Milk Days. Theirs is a different tradition meant to celebrate dairy farmers in the "Milk Capital of the World."
I like drink milk. So, I try to find out what is the history of milk. Milk is an opaque white liquid produced by the mammary glands of female mammals (including monotremes). It provides the primary source of nutrition for newborn mammals before they are able to digest other types of food. The early lactation milk is known as colostrums and carries the mother’s antibodies to the baby. It can reduce the risk of many diseases in the baby. The exact components of raw milk varies by species, but it contains significant amounts of saturated fat, protein and calcium as well as vitamin C. Cow’s milk has a pH ranging from 6.4 to 6.8, making it slightly acidic.

"WHO IS SALOMA"

Who is this intriguing lady named Saloma? She who captured the hearts of Malaysia's foremost musician-actor, P. Ramlee, and millions who had the pleasure of watching her sing live or emote on the silver screen some three or four decades ago?

Salmah Ismail was born on 23 January 1935 in Singapore. Some believed that her stage name SALOMA was given to her by Run Run Shaw of Shaw Bros when the film Salome which starred Rita Hayworth hit the Box Office. While others said it was coined by the 'love of her life' husband, P.Ramlee.

As a child, she had dreams of becoming a big 'star' and it was no surprise that she was already a household name and a 'little singing sensation' at weddings, festive and family events barely at the age of 13.

'I Am In The Mood For Love', 'Once In A While' were among the first English numbers she learnt. With that, she broke into the nightclub circuit. Her acclaimed crystal clear and melodious voice captivated and mesmerised those who came far and wide to watch her perform. Soon after, offers to act came by and like the saying goes... the rest was history.

Charming , attractive and tinged with a look of innocence, she acted in numerous films and played lead roles which featured her prominent singing ability. Along with her husband, Saloma was a lead member of Panca Sitara Group. She also sung with the Kalung Senandung Group at Radio Singapura.

In 1961 Saloma married fellow actor P.Ramlee, an affable man of many talents. Adored by all, the country's very own 'screen couple' was a household name. Their movies were all 'sold-outs' and each a must-see and certainly 'not to be missed'.

Puan Sri Saloma passing at a young age of 48 on 25 April 1983 left the nation with profound sadness and an end to a era of screen romance. Till today, her movies and those acted along with Tan Sri P.Ramlee are classics and are still screened for the enjoyment of many... it's what legends are made of.

Family relationship article

With the widespread success and use of the home computer, people are simply a mouse click away. The innovation of email and digital photographs has made it possible for families to stay in touch; however, is this really enough? While technology has enabled us to talk to people all over the world, in some ways it is hampering us from intimate contact, especially with our families.
Keeping your family close must start when you children are very young. If you instill in them at an early age the importance of family, chances are your message will stick when they become adults.
An important way to ensure family closeness is by creating special family traditions. While we all know every eats turkey on Thanksgiving, add something special to the day. Perhaps set aside this day for the entire family to play games. Try playing something as simple as Bingo, where everyone will get a prize – and here's the real treat – make the prizes "coupons". For instance, "This coupon good for one free movie with mom" or "This coupon good for one indoor picnic." Thanksgiving is traditionally a day for football, so organize a friendly family game of your own. You will be surprised how your children will come to treasure these special family times.
Another basic premise for keeping your family close is raising them in such a way that they like each other. By this I mean treat your children equally as they are growing; do not favor one over the other as this will lead to jealousy and resentment and will probably continue into adulthood. Foster closeness among your children, praising them equally for their own accomplishments without comparing them to each other.
While modern technology will never replace the warmth of a mother's hug or the pat on the back from his father, keeping close is possible. When a family is built on love, respect and devotion, they will always find a way to be close – if not in body, then in spirit.

Family relationship is the major of relationship that is very important in my life rather than love and friends. who am i if i have nobody in my family? we should keep our family close, from the time we are children until become adults even we have our own family. usually, a good person has grown up in a close family with lots of love because parents' attention and love will avoid the teenagers from involved in bad activity outside. so let's keep close with our family and say that you love them from now till our last breath in this world.

How to Deal With Teachers That Hate Your Guts
If you feel like there's a teacher that "hates your guts," here are a few things you can do to turn the situation around and encourage your teacher to like you instead.
Steps
1. Let the teacher notice you in as many good ways as you can possibly do.
2. Always be on time. Teachers love that!
3. Keep quiet. Teachers have a hard time with a loud class.
4. Help the teacher with whatever she needs such as carrying materials to her class
5. Have all the supplies you need with you for every class period.
6. Never forget your homework. Teachers hate students that always make a excuse and never bring their homework. So make sure that it's in you bag after you finish it the night before.
7. Always turn in all assignments on time. As said on step 5, teachers hate students who never bring their assignments or homework.
8. Address the teacher respectfully as sir or ma'am ("Yes, sir.")
9. Pay close attention to the teacher while ignoring other students who might distract you. To show your attention, participate a lot and always raise your hand whenever the teacher has a question.
10. If ALL else fails then sit near the back of the class. At least this will put some distance between you both.
11. Ask the teacher for a list of her/his favorite books she/he read at your age.
12. Make them a homemade card and just leave it on their desk. Tell them you appreciate that they are your teacher.
13. Most "mean" teachers are unhappy people. Sometimes it has nothing to do with you. They might feel that none of the students care about them so why try to be nice.

There are some steps and tips how to deal with teachers that hate your guts. i think there is only a few teachers that will hate our guts but if we do some of this steps, we will turn the situation around and also encourage our teacher to like us. even the teachers still not give good respons, we should not be rude with them. we should give respect to teachers same like we respect our parents even how bad they treat us. remember, your teacher's views usually have nothing to do with us as a person.

How to Succeed in English Class
Have you ever wanted to thrive in English class? Here are some ways to become the ultimate English student.
Steps
1. Read, read, and read some more. Always have a book in your hand, and read it during every spare moment: between classes, while you're on line for food, as you eat, on the bus, etc. Read some of the English classics and, if you're feeling ambitious, read poetry (especially Shakespeare).
2. Read what other people, particularly literary critics, are saying about the books you've been reading. Compare their views, and decide where you stand.
3. Share your opinions. When people, whether it's a teacher or a peer, ask you about a book that you're reading, explain whether you like the book or not, and why.
4. Raise your hand in class to ask questions. Teachers LOVE IT. It shows that you're paying attention.
5. Be specific. Instead of saying "Yeah, it's awesome," say something like "I like the way the author creates characters that seem to be polar opposites of each other..."
6. Compare the situations you read about in books to situations in real life.
7. Take notes. If you're reading and you come across a piece of text that strikes you in some way, or that really epitomizes the message of the book, mark the text with a temporary stick-on tab. A teacher who sees the colored tabs sticking out of an assigned book will know you are really working on the text. You can also copy the text onto an index card or in a notebook, along with any reactions, insights, or questions you may have.
8. Participate in class. Don't dominate the discussion; try to get other students to participate. Share your opinion when you feel it adds to the discussion - don't raise your hand just to mention tiny little facts. The best way to participate is to (1) share your opinion, (2) explain why you feel this way, and (3) pose a related question.
9. Write your own literary criticism essays, whether it's for class or during your own time. Read them out loud to yourself to make sure that the text flows smoothly and evenly. Copy-edit your work - poor spelling and grammar are inexcusable for top English students.
10. Once you finish writing your essay (or whatever) just to check the spelling, turn on your computer and type it out on MS Word, to check the spellings and grammar. Sure, if your essay is long it can take time but at least you know that it's correct!
11. If your teacher marks your work strictly (e.g: maybe a short story?) then don't be afraid to ask WHY they've been marking it stricter than they mark the others'.
12. When you're writing, feel free to take a different perspective from the main topic, just make sure it all still makes sense. For instance, if you have to write a paper about nature, go right ahead and write about how you don't like it, or make the essay on the top ten things in nature that annoy you.
13. Read your assigned essays or writing out loud. Read it to your friends, family or even your dog. Don't rush: Take a good pause after each period (called a 'full stop' in the UK). Mark any parts you find difficult to read out loud, and when finished, go back and simplify that text. Often the easy way to simplify your writing is to break it up into shorter sentences.
14. Trade written work with your friends in the class. Get them to give you an honest appraisal. The teacher may not have time to do more than scrawl a letter grade on your work, but your classmate can talk with you in depth about your writing and the points you are making.

I think everyone wants to succeed in English class especially who is weak or not excellent in English language just like me. after read this article, i'll try some of the steps in english class after this although it is quite hard for me to do it. even i'll not do all of the steps that have been given, but i'll try to do either two or three steps that will make me become succeed in English class. i hope this article will help other students or maybe my classmate who have the intention to succeed in english class.

Did you know that reading can keep your mind active and engaged well into old age?

Several years ago when I was working as a newspaper reporter, I interviewed a woman who was a resident at a local nursing home. She was 100 years old. And she read at least one book per week. Mostly novels. She was bright, intelligent and fun to talk with.

"I love to read. It helps me keep up with what's going on in the world," she said. "A friend of mine brings me a new book every week. I look forward to her visits and I look forward to the books. We talk about the books we've read."

Reading has other benefits, as well.

For one thing, reading a good story can help you forget some of the problems in your own life.

"I can't get around much anymore," said the 100-year-old woman who lived in the nursing home. "When I go somewhere, I have to go in a wheelchair now. But when I read, I can go anywhere, anytime I want. And no one has to help me!"

Reading also sets a good example for younger generations.

From my own experience as an English teacher, and as a substitute teacher in many elementary classrooms, I have observed that the best readers are those students who see their parents reading. And I'm not talking about only reading novels or nonfiction books. Newspapers and magazines are important too. It's the reverse of the old saying, "Do as I say and not as I do." You can talk about the virtues of reading until you are so hoarse you cannot speak another word, but if you do not read yourself, your actions will communicate more to your children and grandchildren about how much you value reading than anything you could ever say.

Readings is a good habit or hobby that we should have in our life. Developing good reading skills does not only mean that you can read a novel or a nonfiction book or a magazine or newspaper, it also means being able to read-and understand-a credit card contract or an insurance policy. in other hand, developing good reading skills means that we can think for ourselves. we can know the advantages and disadvantages of what we had read. as an adult, we should give a good example for the children to make them interest in readings hobby. so let's make reading for our hobby now...

A massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) is a genre of computer role-playing games (CRPGs) in which a large number of players interact with one another in a virtual world. The term MMORPG was coined by Richard Garriott, the creator of Ultima Online, the game credited with popularizing the genre in 1997.

As in all RPGs, players assume the role of a fictional character (often in a fantasy world), and take control over many of that character's actions. MMORPGs are distinguished from single-player or small multi-player CRPGs by the number of players, and by the game's persistent world, usually hosted by the game's publisher, which continues to exist and evolve while the player is away from the game.

MMORPGs are very popular throughout the world. Worldwide revenues for MMORPGs exceeded half a billion dollars in 2005, and Western revenues exceeded US$1 billion in 2006.

Most MMORPGs are deployed using a client-server system architecture. The software that generates and persists the "world" runs continuously on a server, and players connect to it via client software. The client software may provide access to the entire playing world, or further 'expansions' may be required to be purchased to allow access to certain areas of the game. Everquest and World of Warcraft are two examples of games that use such a format. Players generally must purchase the client software for a one-time fee, although an increasing trend is for MMORPGs to work using pre-existing "thin" clients, such as a web browser.

Some MMORPGs require payment of a monthly subscription to play. By nature, "massively multiplayer" games are always online, and most require some sort of continuous revenue (such as monthly subscriptions and advertisements) for maintenance and development.

Depending on the number of players and the system architecture, a MMORPG might actually be run on multiple separate servers, each representing an independent world, where players from one server cannot interact with those from another. In many MMORPGs the number of players in one world is often limited to around a few thousands, but a notable example of the opposite is EVE Online which accommodated around 20,000 players in the same world as of August 2007 and 41,690 users online in December 2007. Some games allow characters to appear on any world, but not simultaneously, others limit each character to the world in which it was created.

actually hard to tell clearly about MMORPG things. But for the simple meaning, it was the online game that need we train, reunite, finding friend, make the followers and become strong. Beside that, we can chatting with others jus like chatters program such as skype and other with another way and style and trust me it was joyful. it was some way to being relaxing and enjoy. But some time, the MMORPG became dangerous. the MMORPG need the player spend their money if wanna be stronger than others in the easy and fast way. beside that, without the players knows, the time being waste to training and play was a lot. for me, it was fun if we can play that in the good and right way, but just think rationally when stay with that. don't stuck on that and neglect the other things plus the important things such as study.

Its about "Help to kick the habit" on teenagers and the smoking syndrome. Nowadays, many peoples at all level of age has smoking syndrom. This syndrom occur among the students especially where there are at 12 years old and above.

Commonly they involve in this immoral activity because of influences with their friends. This case becomes worse.
What is worrying is that students as young as 10 years old are smoking. Female students are also puffing away.

The report says those between the ages of 13 and 15form the highest percentage of teenage smokers in Malaysia. The most disciplinary problems occur at secondary scholl caused by the smoking case. But now, primary school also facing with this problem.

Students in school uniforms smoke discreetly in public places. They hide the cigarette within their palms and take quick puffs when no one is watching. Some students who are addicted to cigarettes smoke outside their school gates before entering the school. Sometimes willing to smoke in toilet although the toilet has a bed smell. They are not think about the rule and the most important is their health.

Schools have to be more stringent in their checks on students who smoke in school and outside. Teachers have to be more vigilant of such students. There are many tell-tale signs of students who smoke, which can be used as indicators to haul up the smokers.

As the effect of smoking, their lips are dark, their breath has a nauseating odour of tobacco and their uniforms too smell of tobacco. At school, many prefects and students know of friends who smoke but do not report them to the teachers for fear of getting into trouble.

Anti-smoking campaigns and health talks by hospital authorities should be organised regularly to educate students in schools about the dangers of smoking. Besides, students also have to be made to realise that smoking has been deemed a chronic illness and that death occurs after a number of years of smoking. The graphic images of the effects of smoking on smokers must be shown to the students. Police and school authorities should call their parents and slap them with a heavy fine and warning.

It is baffling how parents can be unaware of their children's habits. Or have they given up on their children?
The above article that I gain from internet is discussing about smoke that occur among students who at 12 years old and above. The discipline problem usually happen to the secondary school that is generally happen because of smoking. This problem also happen to the female students. This unhealthy habits will destroy our next future generation. So,the serious action must be taken immediately by the responsible government, community, parents, teachers and friends. Here, friends have to play their role wisely because most of the teenagers that smoking is influence by their friends. As conclusion, we as a good community have to work together in order to handle this serious matter from becoming as virus to our next generation.Thank you.-liyana-

Mahatma Gandhi
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (2 October 1869 – 30 January 1948) was a major political and spiritual leader of India and the Indian independence movement. He was the pioneer of Satyagraha—resistance to tyranny through mass civil disobedience, firmly founded upon ahimsa or total non-violence—which led India to independence and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world. He is commonly known around the world as Mahatma Gandhi (Sanskrit:"Great Soul", an honorific first applied to him by Rabindranath Tagore) and in India also as Bapu ("Father"). He is officially honoured in India as the Father of the Nation; his birthday, 2 October, is commemorated there as Gandhi Jayanti, a national holiday, and worldwide as the International Day of Non-Violence.

Gandhi first employed non-violent civil disobedience as an expatriate lawyer in South Africa, in the resident Indian community's struggle for civil rights. After his return to India in 1915, he set about organising peasants, farmers, and urban labourers in protesting excessive land-tax and discrimination. Assuming leadership of the Indian National Congress in 1921, Gandhi led nationwide campaigns for easing poverty, for expanding women's rights, for building religious and ethnic amity, for ending untouchability, for increasing economic self-reliance, but above all for achieving Swaraj—the independence of India from foreign domination. Gandhi famously led Indians in protesting the British-imposed salt tax with the 400 km (249 mi) Dandi Salt March in 1930, and later in calling for the British to Quit India in 1942. He was imprisoned for many years, on numerous occasions, in both South Africa and India.

Gandhi was a practitioner of non-violence and truth, and advocated that others do the same. He lived modestly in a self-sufficient residential community and wore the traditional Indian dhoti and shawl, woven with yarn he had hand spun on a charkha. He ate simple vegetarian food, and also undertook long fasts as means of both self-purification and social protest.

Fasting has many physical and spiritual benefits. It keeps away human being from animal desires. Fast is so effective in making a righteous man and society.

The medical advantages of fast are very much, so that it’s no need to explanation and repetition and most of people know its benefits. Here are some of these advantages:

Human’s stomach and digestive system are the active members of body. Their main task, is to digest the eaten foods. In fasting, these members rest and fatness which is harmful for body, will be diminished.

In Islamic narrations, it’s referred to the physical benefits of fast, Holy PROPHET (S) stated:“Fast is for health.” Also in many narrations, our Islamic Leaders stated: “Human being’s stomach likes the home of disease and avoidance of eating ,is its treatment.”

It is clear when these medical benefits are useful that a person who is fasting, avoids gluttony, at the time of fast's breaking, because it hurts digestive system.

By making progress of medical sciences, physicians have found that, withholding from eating and drinking, is the best method of treatment. One of the physicians says: “Treatment by fast is so resultful. Then using it,will change medical and surgical programs.”

Fast open a new window to medical science. Fast gives an effective weapon to this science for fighting with diseases. The weapon in which we can use in different ways and human being will be the winner of this war. “By fasting and withholding we can treat disease.”

You should know that fast is not harmful for people's health . If someone is sick , fast is not obligatory to him.

Some persons (who don’t fast) say that Peptic Ulcer disease is made by fast, but this is not correct and you should not attend to their opinion because stomach rests in fasting and when you fast your stomach acid is neutralized by Bile and Peptic Ulcer disease is not created.

Majority of Muslims fast in Ramadhan month and they don’t complain about this sickness and the number of Peptic Ulcer more than the others. But we should say that the most important advantages of fast are not its medical benefits, although some persons just consider this aspect. While fast spiritual benefits are better than its physical advantages.

The advantages that have been written above describe the advantages of Ramadhan month.Ramadhan is familiar known to those people who are not muslim as fasting month. There are lots of benefits by fasting such as a weapon to fighting with disease, keep protecting our digestive system from working all the time. Besides that, fasting also could be the best method in order to keep our body healthy.Fasting also could be the best way for the people who want to have an ideal body besides use the correct an safe method in order to have an ideal body. As conclusion, fasting give lots of benefits to our body. So,why don’t have try on it to prove that it was beneficial to us.Have fun.Thank you.-liyana-

I found this interesting website called dreammoods.com which is a free one-stop dream portal that let us explore and discover meaning to our dreams. One of the common dreams is test/exam dreams which I had dreamt few days back. According to this site, the dream that I’m taking an exam indicates that I’m being put to the test or being scrutinized in some way. Such dreams highlight my feelings of being anxious and agitated. And in the same dream, I was late for the exam and could not complete the exam in the allowed time which then contributes to the factor of failing the test. This dream usually has to do with self-esteem and confidence or my lack of. I am worried that I’m not making the grade and measuring up to other people's expectations of myself. I may also experience the fear of not being accepted, not being prepared, or not being good enough. I feel nervous, insecure and tend to believe the worst about myself. Surprisingly, almost the entire of interpretations are true and did reflect me in a way. This website did help in making sense of one’s dreams and achieves better understanding of the dreams.

I already read the book entitle Al-Aqsa dan Tembok Pemisah. The book is story about Palestine and Israel which are arguing to get their rights. The wall was built with various types of dangerous sources such as, cement and electric gates. The wall has been controlled by the guards who have weapons. The construction gives the negative sides especially to the Palestinians. Hence, we as a Muslim should instil our heart to take initiative and concern about current issues. Lastly, these issues must be settling earlier to help the Palestinians. Takbir..

CUSTOM AND BELIEF ABOUT DURIAN

Southeast Asian folk beliefs, as well as traditional Chinese medicine, consider the durian fruit to have warming properties liable to cause excessive sweating. The traditional method to counteract this is to pour water into the empty shell of the fruit after the pulp has been consumed and drink it. An alternative method is to eat the durian in accompaniment with mangosteen, which is considered to have cooling properties. Pregnant women or people with high blood pressure are traditionally advised not to consume durian.
Another common local belief is that the durian is harmful when eaten with coffee or alcoholic beverages. The latter belief can be traced back at least to the 18th century when Rumphius stated that one should not drink alcohol after eating durians as it will cause indigestion and bad breath. In 1929, J. D. Gimlette wrote in his Malay Poisons and Charm Cures that the durian fruit must not be eaten with brandy. In 1981, J. R. Croft wrote in his Bombacaceae: In Handbooks of the Flora of Papua New Guinea that a feeling of morbidity often follows the consumption of alcohol too soon after eating durian. Several medical investigations on the validity of this belief have been conducted with varying conclusions.

The Javanese believe durian to have aphrodisiac qualities, and impose a set of rules on what may or may not be consumed with it or shortly thereafter. A saying in Indonesian, durian jatuh sarung naik, meaning "the durians fall and the sarungs come up", refers to this belief. The warnings against the supposed lecherous quality of this fruit soon spread to the West—the Swedenborgian philosopher Herman Vetterling commented on so-called "erotic properties" of the durian in the early 20th century.

Durian fruit is armed with sharp thorns, fully capable of drawing blood.A durian falling on a person's head can cause serious injuries because it is heavy, armed with sharp thorns, and can fall from a significant height. Wearing a hardhat is recommended when collecting the fruit. Alfred Russel Wallace writes that death rarely ensues from it, because the copious effusion of blood prevents the inflammation which might otherwise take place. A common saying is that a durian has eyes and can see where it is falling because the fruit allegedly never falls during daylight hours when people may be hurt. A saying in Indonesian, ketibaan durian runtuh, which translates to "getting a fallen durian", means receiving an unexpected luck or fortune. Nevertheless, signs warning people not to linger under durian trees are found in Indonesia.

A naturally spineless variety of durian growing wild in Davao, Philippines, was discovered in the 1960s; fruits borne from these seeds also lacked spines. Since the bases of the scales develop into spines as the fruit matures, sometimes spineless durians are produced artificially by scraping scales off immature fruits.

Base on the article, i found there are many beliefs of durian. Its sometimes can be accepted.i also know that we cannot eat durian with watermelon and also any medicine cause it will be food poisoning. Besides that, based o the artcle we also know that durian also famous at the west. But because of the smell people on th west cannot accept the fruit. But in my experience, i hav meet a group of tourist that are very interested with durian. They said thet this is the first time they hav eating the durian.

HELLO..
Hye everyone..

I have read about forgiveness.
To forgive someone is not a feeling but it is a principle of life. It is a lesson that we must learn and is a life on lesson. What it says is correct: To forgive someone that you love is easy but it is not true forgiveness. True forgiveness is to forgive your enemy and never hold grudges against he or she no matter what he or she do to us. If we can’t forgive someone, it will leads to anger, resentment, bitterness, hatred, retaliation, violence and what is the worse which is murder.
Forgiveness seems to be a very simple topic but very least of us take a deep think of it and we never know that actually all those murder cases,suicides...all happened because of unforgiveness...

So, we must learn to forgive someone no matter its how unfair to us because truth will be revealed one day...

The culture of Ancient Egypt lived along the Nile river in Egypt from before the 5th millennium BC until the 4th Century AD. Ancient Egyptian society was based on farming the fertile Nile valley which flooded every year, enriching the soil with nutrients. The government of ancient Egypt, headed by the Pharaoh, was responsible for organizing farming efforts and collecting taxes for the state, which protected the country's borders and built grand monuments to the gods. The ancient Egyptian civilization effectively ended after the Roman domination, but the pyramids and colossal statues they left behind stand as testimony to the power of the pharaohs.

About NASA....

After reading the article,i can get more knowledge about NASA. i hope that more people will read about this.

NASA has had many successful space missions and programs, including over 150 manned missions. Many of the notable manned missions were from the Apollo program, a sequence of missions to the Moon which included the achievement of the first man to walk on the Moon, during Apollo 11. The Space Shuttle program has also been a success,[citation needed] despite the loss of two of the Space Shuttles, Challenger and Columbia which resulted in the deaths of their entire crews. The Space Shuttles were able to dock with the space station Mir while it was operational, and are now able to dock with the International Space Station – a joint project of many space agencies. NASA's future plans for space exploration are with the Project Constellation.

There have been many unmanned NASA space missions as well, including at least one that visited each of the other seven planets in our Solar System, and four missions (Pioneer 10, Pioneer 11, Voyager 1, and Voyager 2) that have left our solar system. There has been much recent success with the missions to Mars, including the Mars Exploration Rovers, the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, and the Phoenix Mars Lander. NASA remains the only space agency to have launched space missions to the outer solar system beyond the asteroid belt.
Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter
Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter

The Cassini probe, launched in 1997 and in orbit around Saturn since mid-2004, is investigating Saturn and its inner satellites. With over twenty years in the making, Cassini-Huygens is an example of international cooperation between JPL-NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA).

Built entirely by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, California, NASA probes have been continually performing science at Mars since 1997, with at least two orbiters since 2001 and several Mars rovers. The orbiting Mars Odyssey and Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter will continue monitoring the geology and climate of the Red Planet, as well as searching for evidence of past or present water and life, as they have since 2001 and 2006, respectively. If the Mars Global Surveyor spacecraft's nine-year lifetime is typical, these probes will continue to advance our knowledge for years to come. The Mars Exploration Rovers Spirit and Opportunity have been traversing the surface of Mars at Gusev crater and Meridiani Planum since early 2004, and will continue to image and investigate those environments. They have both already operated over seventeen times longer than expected, and remain a promising part of NASA's future. Adding to this flotilla is the Phoenix Mars Lander, which executed a perfect powered touchdown in the northern latitudes of Mars on May 25, 2008 after a 10-month journey of more than 420 million miles.

A rocket or rocket vehicle is a missile, aircraft or other vehicle which obtains thrust by the reaction of the rocket to the ejection of fast moving fluid from a rocket engine. Chemical rockets work by the action of hot gas produced by the combustion of the propellant against the inside of combustion chambers and expansion nozzles. This generates forces that accelerate the gas to extremely high speed and exert a large thrust on the rocket (since every action has an equal and opposite reaction).

The history of rockets goes back to at least the 13th century.
By the 20th century, they have enabled human spaceflight to the Moon. In the 21st century, they have made commercial space tourism possible.

Rockets are used for fireworks and weaponry, as launch vehicles for artificial satellites, human spaceflight and exploration of other planets. While inefficient for low speed use, they are, compared to other propulsion systems, very lightweight and powerful, capable of attaining extremely high speeds with reasonable efficiency.

Chemical rockets store a large amount of energy in an easily-released form, and can be very dangerous. However, careful design, testing, construction, and use minimize the risks.

Larger rockets are normally launched from a launch pad which serves as stable support until a few seconds after ignition.

From this article,i hope that i can build my own rocket.

Do you smoke?? Or have a friend that smoke?? I accidentally read about 'stop-smoking'. It said that more than 500,000 deaths in U.S are caused from smoking-related illness. Adult smokers reduce their lifespan by an average of 13 to 14 years. Gosh! Can you imagine it?
It also state that, even if you have no idea where to start and what to do, you can quit smoking as long as you have the mindset and commitment to do so. Smoking is one of the main causes of serious health diseases, such as cancer, stroke, and heart problems.
So, I hope that if any of you that haven't stop smoking yet, then I think you should stop smoking. You should appreciate your life and also person around you.

Like all eastern spices, pepper was historically both a seasoning and a medicine. Long pepper, being stronger, was often the preferred medication, but both were used.

Black peppercorns figure in remedies in Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani medicine in India. The 5th century Syriac Book of Medicines prescribes pepper (or perhaps long pepper) for such illnesses as constipation, diarrhea, earache, gangrene, heart disease, hernia, hoarseness, indigestion, insect bites, insomnia, joint pain, liver problems, lung disease, oral abscesses, sunburn, tooth decay, and toothaches. Various sources from the 5th century onward also recommend pepper to treat eye problems, often by applying salves or poultices made with pepper directly to the eye. There is no current medical evidence that any of these treatments has any benefit; pepper applied directly to the eye would be quite uncomfortable and possibly damaging.

Pepper has long been believed to cause sneezing; this is still believed true today. Some sources say that piperine, a substance present in black pepper, irritates the nostrils, causing the sneezing; some say that it is just the effect of the fine dust in ground pepper, and some say that pepper is not in fact a very effective sneeze-producer at all. Few if any controlled studies have been carried out to answer the question.

As a medicine, Pepper appears in the Buddhist monastic code, chapter five, as one of the few medicines allowed to be carried by a monk.

Pepper is eliminated from the diet of patients having abdominal surgery and ulcers because of its irritating effect upon the intestines, being replaced by what is referred to as a bland diet.

Pepper contains small amounts of safrole, a mildly carcinogenic compound.

It has been shown that piperine can dramatically increase absorption of selenium, vitamin B and beta-carotene as well as other nutrients.

The above article is about the usage of black pepper for the medicine. Although the black pepper small, its has so many usage in medicine. Besides that in malay belive that by using black pepper we can avoid disturbance from "makhluk halus", when we bring baby together travel on night.

“Baju Melayu is a traditional Malay outfit for men. It literally translates as 'Malay shirt' and consists of two main parts. The first being the baju (long sleeved shirt) itself which has a raised stiff collar known as the cekak musang collar (literally fox's lease). The second part is the trousers. The two parts are made out of the same type of fabric which is usually silk, cotton, or a mixture of polyester and cotton. A skirt-type adornment is also commonly worn with the Baju Melayu, which is either the "kain samping", made out of songket cloth or the kain sarung, made out of cotton or a polyester mix. Both are loops of fabric which are folded around the wearer's waist. A jet-black or dark coloured headgear called the songkok can also worn to complete the attire.”

On Hari Raya, when I just sit at the sofa in my grandma home, I look at my nephew. He just 3 years and suddenly I think he’s so sweet wearing their ‘baju raya’ actually ‘baju melayu in pink colour’. And after that,I take the advantage to look at other ‘baju melayu’ that wearing by a man. In Johor,‘Baju Melayu Teluk Belanga’ very popular but for ‘Cekak Musang’ it’s become too general. Maybe it’s always popular when Hari Raya comes, but it think it just a suitable outfit to wear weather in Hari Raya or not.

Baju Melayu also used for formal days. Usually when have a official attire or natinal event. And for majlis ‘Akad Nikah’ in wedding day. Maybe some people think that wearing baju melayu make them feel hot or not suitable at all, but I think that baju melayu make them more smart and sweet at all.

I've read an article 'DIRTY OLD PARENTS'..this article was about a teenager,Sarah, that her mother had a affair with another man behind her father..

For Sarah, her mother affair was an unforgiveable act of treachery that she also thought would break the family up..For six months Sarah suffered the secrets of her mother's bogus shopping trips, afternoon teas and business dinners. Her parents had never really so close, so her father never had clue of the affair. Sarah even meet the man whom referred to as Mum's boyfriend. She was not surprised to see that he was about her father's age, and thought that he, too, was married.

She was thrilled that her mum trusted her with her secret, but every lie her mum asked her to tell, the weight of that guilt got heavier and heavier. Her dad is not a great father by a long shot. He has a terrible temper, is cruelly stingy and often goes into brooding sulks. But she still thought that what her mum did was unfair to him..

One day her dad figured out her mum's affair but surprisely her dad didn't angry..he was so cold,so unfeeling, and so insensitive..Maybe that was what was wrong with them in the first place..

Poor to Sarah..thank God my parents was not like sarah's parents..As a Muslim I think that religious is very important element for a human to have a good and happy life..because religious guide us to seek a better life..

Hi everyone!

Today I was really shocked when I read a news article with the headline ‘Teacher kicked, slapped by two Form 2 girls’.

It is unbelievable as students should respect their teachers for all the hard work that their teachers had done in delivering the education and help them understand what they learn. But this horrible scene encountered by this 27-year old Physics teacher makes her traumatized although she does not have any physical injuries.

Azhana Ibrahim was assaulted after being involved in an argument with two Form Two students at 10am. The argument was over a crude word which one of the students had written in a class project report. The teacher sought an explanation from the students, both 14, which ended in a shouting match. Azhana and the two students also traded slaps in the incident at Sekolah Menengah Perlis here.

In my opinion, those student involved in the fracas with their students should be reprimanded and given heavy fines for their lack of attitude. They need guidance by their parents to respect their teachers and asked for forgiveness from their teachers. I hope all students will learn from this event that teachers is also like human too and need to be respected for their tremendous work in the community. Thank you for reading.

Hi there everybody,
I've read this article recently entitled 'dealing with a broken heart'.So this is the full article.

Relationships come and go, it is a normal part of life. While relationships can be great sometimes they have to come to an end which can leave one person or the other with a broken heart. Sometimes the break ups can seem to come out of no where which not only leaves us with a broken heart but also stumbling to regain our composure after being knocked down. How does one get over that ex boyfriend or girlfriend? How can a person move on with life? How does a person get over a broken heart?

First and foremost, keep your thoughts positive. While a broken heart may hurt never think that your life is over. A lot of people go through this everyday. You are not alone.

After a break up always implement the NC (No Contact) rule. It is best to end your relationship with a clean and simple break. Speaking and/or seeing each other after a break up only helps to prolong the heart break.

Reconnect with old friends. Sometimes during a relationship we forget about our friends. Start talking to as many of your friends as you can. Chances are they have been through the same thing and might be able to offer some advice. Go out and have fun. Hanging out with old friends is a great way to get your mind off of your ex.

Keep yourself busy. Try starting up some old hobbies or finding new ones. Whatever keeps your mind off thinking about your ex. Hobbies are great tools because they keep your mind busy and occupied.

Try going to the local gym. Who would have ever thought working out would help you get over a broken heart? Not only does working out make you feel good about yourself it is a good way to let off a little steam. Not to mention you may see your ex again someday and you will want to look your best. If you can't afford a local gym membership try jogging. You can jog around the house or at a local park either way will help you release some frustration and burn some calories.

Go to your local bookstore and pick up something on the best sellers list. There is nothing like a good book to take a persons mind off of other things going on. Books can be useful in a breakup because they allow you to escape reality briefly and visit someone else's world.

Once you have had the proper amount of grieving time then it is time to get back into the dating scene. Start slow and don't jump in head first. You don't want to rush anything.

While a broken heart can hurt pretty bad just remember, this isn't the end of the world. Keep your head up and your mind off of your ex and you should come out of it with flying colors.

Madame, after reading this article, I actually felt good about myself because frankly, I have once dealt with a relationshiip break up. Big relationship break up. I believe, during that awful time, I have done the things that I supposed to be doing for goodness.
For instance, while dealing with a broken heart in the previous relationship, I fulfilled my time by indulging myself in good food, good clothes and good makeup. Maybe this sounds funny to anyone whose reading this, but anyway, it helps me! It helps me in terms of to make me feel good about myself. Besides, it's not that I didn't cried at all, I did cried out loud for so many times, but I'm truly lucky and blessed because I have understanding friends around me to help with my daily life and motivating me. Since then, I've realised which of them whose been a true friend. Not only a friend to share laughter with, but also a friend to cry on too. I thank God because this kind of experience teaches me a lot about life. I learnt to move on by not just dwelling in the past and also to accept obstacles in my life willingly.

Bonjour, this is the article that I have read about. The comment would be at the bottom.

It was not too long ago that obesity was not the raging universal health problem that it is today - partly because we all used to have more physical activity in our lives.

To help curb this problem, what if we stopped thinking so much about "starting an exercise program," and concentrated more on increasing our physical activity, moving more throughout the day? Undoubtedly, we would see results like weight loss and a decrease in illnesses. So let’s consider simple ways to become less sedentary.

1. Here’s an easy one: use the stairs. I know you have heard this before but sometimes a simple reminder is all you need to take an action. Whenever you have the choice, walk up and down stairs – it’s a simple way to get where you are already going, and in the process log some great calorie burning, muscle strengthening miles in your week.

2. Walk your dog, and your kids, at least once, preferably twice, a day. We condition our kids and our animals to behave as we do, so if we don’t exercise them regularly, they become sedentary, and out of shape, just like us.

3. Walk to the market, or the post box, or a nearby restaurant for your meals. Imagine the gas you’ll save, not to mention how much healthier you’ll become by leaving the car at home whenever possible.

4. Walk to school or walk your kids to school, or park a few blocks away from any destination (a movie, a restaurant, your work). Parking just 3 blocks away (6 blocks round trip) from your intended destination, just a few times a week, will very simply increase your activity level. And since you are already going there, it’s kind of the perfect plan.

5. Take the initiative to plan activity time, versus sitting around time, with your friends and family. Take a hike, or a walk on the beach, or walk through and discover a new neighborhood – then you can sit down for coffee or a meal.

6. Keep comfortable shoes at the office and enlist your work friends to join you for a break-time walk-about. This is such a good way to reduce work anxiety and mingle/bond with associates.

These may seem obvious, but if you're not doing them, well, maybe doing what’s obvious isn’t such a bad idea.

Hey there madame, I was thinking that this article is really cool, since it is some sort of a short reminder for us about how importance to have a daily walk.
I have realised this earlier and actually have taken the initiave to have a walk and jog every evening for an hour with my jog partner named Tito Lamat!
I also walk to classes (of course) and make sure that I am wearing comfortable shoes so I wont hurt my feet. I love my sport shoes honestly because it's very comfortable and I also have a shoes for classes that I believe, I bought it for its comfy quality.
Try it to believe it!

Salamualaikum to madam and also to my fellow friends. The third articles that I already readsis the article about how to eat right with diabetes.this article is written by Lauren b. Wallace.if you or somebody suffers from diabetes you know how important it is to maintain a healthy diet. Eating a healthy diet can help you attain quick weight loss, keep your blood levels even and maintain a healthy body. Maintaining a healthy weight is extremely important for diabetics because it prevents certain health problems from occurring, such as heart disease. With prevention in mind, here are a few nutrition tips to take into consideration if you are diabetic.

Tip number one is “eating a wide variety of foods.” If you are a diabetic it is often important to have a colorful plate. Do not eliminate any fruits, vegetables, or lean meats from your diet. You can also eat other sources of protein, such as nuts, dairy products, grains, and cereal. Tip number two is “eating the right amount of calories.” This means that you should eat a balanced diet which will help you maintain a healthy weight. Do not short yourself calories and do not exceed calories. Learn to maintain a healthy calorie intake.

The third tip is “choosing foods high in fiber.” The recommended daily intake of fiber is 25-35 grams. Some of the foods which are high in fiber include whole grain breads, fruit and cereal. Certain studies suggest that people with type 2 diabetes who eat a diet high in fiber can improve their blood sugar and cholesterol levels. The same idea goes for people with type 1 diabetes. Also anyone who is a diabetic knows how important it is to maintain a healthy weight and fiber can help you achieve that. Fiber is known to speed up metabolism and help you feel full longer. So as you can see a healthy diet is essential in order to attain weight loss and healthy blood sugar levels.
So.everyone who is suffers from diabetes must followed all that tips,to maintained our healthy.n the avoid your disease to become more dangerouse

I had already read one articles about how to quit smoking.this article is written by Darren hiller.he give 7 teechniques how to quit smoking.i hope everyone who are smoker take from this 7 steps to help him to stop smoking.because smoking is very dangerous not only for you but all people around you.and you must must to reminds that all peoples around are at higher dangerous then you, although only you are smoking. One of the first techniques that I recommend to all smoker to quit smoking, is to begin visualizing themselves as a non-smoker. Creative Visualization is a technique where you imagine or think about yourself as you want to be. It's like replaying a mental movie about you successfully achieving your goal. Using the power of Creative Visualization will help mentally prepare you to become a non-smoker.
Creative Visualization steps:
1. Center yourself: With your eyes closed, take a moment to center yourself by taking a few deep breaths while becoming aware of your surroundings (What are you sitting or standing on? What color is it? How is your body touching the earth? Can you feel your heartbeat? What sounds can you hear?).
2. Start visualizing: Think about where you are at this moment. This is where you will begin your one minute visualization. (How much are you smoking per day? How confident and motivated are you?).
3. Enjoy a benefit: Quickly move past your quit date, and create a mental picture of a moment in your first days/weeks as a non-smoker enjoying one of the ways you are going to benefit. (If being healthier is one of your benefits, you can imagine what it's going to be like to breath fresh air into your lungs).
4. Bring in details: Enhance your visualization by bringing in more details into your mental movie. (Where are you? What are you doing? What are you wearing? Notice your surroundings, Who else is there?).
5. Bring in all your senses: Bring all your senses into your visualization.(What else do you see in the scene? What sounds do you hear? What emotions are you feeling? What do you smell and taste?).
6. Positive affirmations: Give yourself positive affirmations throughout your visualization. (I am a calm, healthy, and happy non-smoker).
7. Visualize each day: Repeat your one minute visualizations at least two times each day. Visualize yourself in different situations enjoying one or multiple benefits at the same time, always imagining yourself how you would like to be as a non-smoker. You may visualize yourself as if you were watching yourself on a movie screen or from the perspective of looking out of your own eyes. The ideal time to begin visualizing is as soon as you think you want to quit smoking.

Bribery: Lawyer gets jail

KUALA LUMPUR: He tried to help his client to reduce a drug charge but ended up in the dock facing a corruption charge.

Lawyer P. Vijian, 44, was yesterday sentenced by the Sessions Court to two years' jail and RM25,000 fine or six months' jail for offering a RM5,000 bribe to deputy public prosecutor Fahmi Abd Moin as an inducement to reduce a drug charge against his client.

The offence was committed at Sessions Court One, Jalan Raja here, between 11.30am and 12.30pm on Aug 7, 2002.

Vijian also faced a second charge of giving a RM3,000 bribe to Fahmi at Quality Hotel City Centre about 10.20am on Aug 10, 2002.

He was however acquitted of this offence on June 7 last year.

In finding Vijian guilty, Judge Akhtar Tahir said that he had looked into the evidence of both the prosecution and the defence.

"I believe in the testimony of the complainant (Fahmi) and that there was an offer made by Vijian to the complainant," he said.

"Corruption is a serious offence. Its seriousness is further aggravated by the fact that the accused is a lawyer, an officer of the court."

In mitigation, counsel D.P. Vijendran said Vijian was a father of three children and the offence was committed on the spur of the moment.

"He is the sole breadwinner in the family. His conviction will have serious repercussions on his livelihood as a lawyer.

"This itself is a serious punishment," said Vijendran.

He also said that Vijian, who is a first-time offender, had an exemplary life and took part in charitable activities like organising classes for poor children.

Prosecuting officer Azuan Adzhar urged the court to impose a deterrent sentence because the accused, being a lawyer, should have known better.

Akhtar, in sentencing Vijian, further added: "I do not agree with the defence counsel that the offence was not premeditated.

"From the facts, he had made an attempt to find out who was the DPP handling the case and went looking for him. His intention was clear from his conduct."

Upon application by Vijendran, Akhtar granted Vijian a stay on execution pending appeal.

He ordered Vijian to pay the fine and increased bail from RM5,000 to RM20,000 and ordered him to surrender his passport to the court.

comment:
