Which side that we should stand for.....They said they are the best! but we as the middle one... dont noe who ius wrong and who is right? Why they do all this? who going to protect us if they kept fought with each other?
American cyclist Lance Armstrong will come out of retirement and bid for an eighth Tour de France title, VeloNews reported on its website. In August, Armstrong competed in his first major cycling event since 2005, finishing second in the Leadville Trail 100 in Colorado.
"It's the first time in three years that I've done seven hours of cycling," said Armstrong of the tough, single-day mountain bike race.
The Texan's return to road racing is to be the centerpiece of a story in the upcoming issue of Vanity Fair magazine, to be published later this month, according to VeloNews.
A spokesman for Astana, however, told ESPN.com that the team had "no plans" with Armstrong.
"Lance Armstrong is no part of our team. Team Astana has no plans with him," Astana press officer Philippe Maertens said in an e-mail from Spain.
Armstrong, who was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 1996, rebounded from the disease to win seven straight Tour de France titles from 1999 to 2005.
Since his retirement, Armstrong has run in a pair of the New York City Marathons along with the Boston Marathon.
Armstrong has also vigorously battled accusations of doping that have swirled in the wake of his unprecedented run in the world's most prestigious cycling race
this is my comment about the Armstrong's travel.... first i want to wish congratulation for him.I interest to post this article because i get more motivation when i read this article. So i hope all of you also more motivated when read this article.
this is the article that i take from new straits times...
TEACHING OF MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCE IN ENGLISH: Give them options By : JANE LEE, Seremban
MUCH has been said about the pros and cons of teaching Mathematics and Science in English. Both sides have compelling arguments to support their case. Whatever the decision, there are going to be unhappy people. So I say, let's make it a win-win situation -- designate certain schools as offering both these subjects in English while the rest of the schools can use their preferred language (Bahasa Malaysia or mother tongue). There are a number of advantages to this. Firstly, parents get to choose which school to enrol their children in based on what they feel is best for their children. The parents will then have to accept the consequences of their choice and not blame the system for their children's failure. Next, since teachers who can really teach these subjects in English are in short supply, they can then be pooled in such schools so that the quality of teaching is not compromised. Those who prefer to teach in Bahasa Malaysia would be happier because they would not be forced to teach in English. If schools offering different media of instruction are located near each other, it would not be a problem to relocate these teachers. Planning by the Education Ministry also becomes easier in terms of resources and wastage can be minimised. Instead of supplying resources to all schools, they can channel the proper resources to the proper schools. The case of resources being not utilised for their set purpose (laptops being used for other purposes) would be better brought under control. The ministry also needs to ensure that heads of schools selected to use English as the medium of instruction must themselves be fluent English speakers so as to spearhead the use of English in the school environment. A non-supportive head will often close one eye if teachers choose to use bahasa rojak in class.
i agreed with what writer's says.just a simple solution...let everybody make their own dicision.it can make everybody will happy in their life.
GEORGE TOWN: The Ramadan spirit of charity was glaringly missing in Jalan P. Ramlee here when an elderly man's century-old wooden house was partially torn down last Saturday by the landowner. Hamad Marican, 80, and his two sons, Jaafar Sidik, 50, and Mohamad Ali, 43, had gone out to buy food for the breaking of fast. When they returned at 7pm, almost the entire front portion of the house was gone. They believe that the owner of the land, on which the one-storey house sits on, had brought in an excavator to tear down the front door, part of the roof and most of the living room. Hamad claimed there was no prior notification about the demolition. "I had the shock of my life after seeing my home almost reduced to a pile of rubble," Hamad sobbed. "This is ridiculous. How are we supposed to live here without a decent roof and walls? "The coming Hari Raya will be very dismal and gloomy for me and my sons," said the distraught senior citizen. Hamad claimed the land was jointly owned by an individual and the Penang Island Municipal Council (MPPP). Hamad's daughter, Anum Hamad, 40, who lives in another house next door, lamented the land-owner's high-handed approach. "The owner does not have the right to tear down the property as the land is registered under him and the MPPP. "He should have got the consent from MPPP before proceeding to demolish the house," she said. To make matters worse, Anum said Hamad and her two brothers refused to move in with her. The family have since lodged a police report.
COMMENT: the victim are very poor.Eid just around the corner. The owner should think about their feel before take this such act.Hamad, the victim claimed the land was jointly owned by an individual and the Penang Island Municipal Council (MPPP).
Worried parents queue for refund in China milk scandal By Ben Blanchard SHIJIAZHUANG, China (Reuters) - Hundreds of fraught parents queued on Tuesday outside a Chinese dairy company at the centre of a baby milk scandal, demanding explanations and compensation after more than 1,200 infants fell ill and at least two died.
Local residents stand in lines at the headquarters of the Sanlu Group to receive a refund on their milk powder products in the city of Shijiazhuang, located around 300 kilometres southwest of Beijing, September 16, 2008. (REUTERS/David Gray) In past years, China has been beset by a series of scandals about toxic and unsafe products. In 2004, at least 13 babies died in the eastern province of Anhui after drinking fake powder that had no nutritional value.
Now hundreds have been diagnosed with kidney stones after drinking powdered milk made by the Sanlu Group and adulterated with toxic melamine. Two have died and more than 50 are in a serious condition.
Twelve months ago, Sanlu was lauded by Chinese state television as a model of reliable quality. But now it and government efforts to ensure product safety face public anger and questions about the effectiveness of reforms.
Businessman Yang Letong, 34, said his toddler twin daughters had drunk Sunlu products since they were born.
"So what if they give us our money back, you can't give our children their health back," he said as he queued outside the company's headquarters in Shijiazhuang, capital of Hebei province south of Beijing.
"I am angry," he said, tears welling in his eyes. "I'm furious."
China's Health Ministry has pledged free health care for all babies sickened by the contaminated milk powder but also warned the numbers of those affected could rise sharply, state news agency Xinhua reported on Tuesday.
"Hospitals should try their best to meet rising demands for diagnosis and treatment because the number of parents who take their children for medical check-ups could rise drastically in the future," Xinhua quoted Deputy Health Minister Ma Xiaowei as telling health, finance and food safety officials across China.
"WE THOUGHT IT WAS SAFE"
Many of those demanding an explanation sat on boxes of Sanlu milk powder that they had brought back for a refund.
"We thought it was safe," said housewife Wang Qin, 30. "Nobody knew this could happen. My 11-year-old son grew up with their products." Throwing a box of yoghurt on the ground, she added: "I'll never touch their stuff again".
Melamine is rich in nitrogen, an element often used to measure protein, and can be used to disguise diluted milk. It is the same additive which caused the deaths of pets in the United States last year from contaminated pet food.
Sanlu, 43 percent owned by New Zealand dairy giant Fonterra, last week halted production after investigators announced they had found the problem.
Local Chinese officials acted last week only after the New Zealand government contacted Beijing, New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark said on Monday.
"China's dairy industry has grown too quickly for safety administration to keep up. There are no uniform standards and there are loopholes in legal oversight," Lao Bing, manager of the Shanghai-based Mingtai Dairy Industry Sales Fund, told Reuters.
Government inspectors could not deal with the many scattered milk suppliers, he said.
Another dairy industry expert, Li Zhiqi, told the China Reform Daily that melamine was widely used. "At every step, people can add melamine to boost the quality of milk," Li said.
China is the world's second-biggest market for baby milk powder, and Sanlu has been the top-selling company in the sector for 15 years, with 18.3 percent of sales in 2007.
The government has ordered an immediate inspection of all the country's milk powder producers. All listed dairy stocks fell their 10 percent limit in early trade but recovered some of their losses later in the day.
Last year, Sanlu was lauded by a Chinese state television programme, "Weekly Consumer Report", as a model of good quality.
Signs pronouncing "quality is life" and "pay great attention to product safety" are prominent around the company compound where one official, overseeing compensation work, tried to downplay the scandal.
"Only a few children have become sick," he told Reuters. "Most of them are fine."
if we read the above new... we can know that money is not everything... i know that the news is not about money but let think about it... the responsible person wanted to pay back of all their fault but they cannot retain back the healthiness of all the children.. so we as a future engineer must take note about this issues... don't be sellfish... we must take into account about the quality of the product... don't let this incident become twice.... think about the luck oc the childrennn. so pity... ask yourself...
Sunday September 14, 2008 Don’t judge me, doctor By DR ALBERT LIM KOK HOOI
Eliminating prejudice in medical practice.
THE letter captioned, Unfair to stigmatise lung cancer patients published in this newspaper earlier in the month caught my eye.
I concur. We should not stigmatise lung cancer patients, or any patient for that matter.
I spoke to a “senior” doctor 25 years ago when AIDS was a “new” disease we could not fully understand, control or treat. All we knew was it seemed to be more prevalent among homosexuals and intravenous drug abusers.
This doctor wanted in all seriousness to corral all AIDS patients and isolate them on an island. I hope this bigoted doctor has changed his medieval views since I spoke to him. Otherwise, I hope he is not practising medicine. Do not assume that all women with lung cancer smoke. In fact, a great majority of women who are diagnosed with lung cancer have never smoked. – Reuters photo
A doctor consults a patient for cancer, AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases, obesity, heart disease, diabetes, cirrhosis or hepatitis. The list of diseases where a “naughty” life style may have played a role is endless. He has to treat a drunken driver involved in a road traffic accident all of the driver’s own doing. What about the injured robbers, murderers or terrorists? For that matter, the corrupt politician. Where does it all end?
We doctors must assiduously not let our religion-laden and culture-laden superego dictate what treatment we give or withhold, consciously or subconsciously.
It is easy to say that we should be impartial and objective but if we are truly honest, I am sure we have infrequently lapsed. But try we should and try our damnedest. We are not moral policemen. No patient should be faulted for his genes or his environment and what he did or did not do with his life.
Lord Alfred Tennyson wrote about the heroism of the Light Brigade during the Crimean War. I indulgently paraphrase him and declaim to my fellow doctors: “Yours Not to Reason Why, Yours But To Do and Let Not Die!’.
I digress and so back to the letter. The author, Ms Swann, makes the point that in the US, 20 to 30% of women who have lung cancer have never smoked. In Asia, the percentage is even higher. A great majority of women who are diagnosed with lung cancer have never smoked. I assure Ms Swann that Big Pharma is not neglecting lung cancer, whether in smokers or non-smokers, because it is big bucks. Every year, at least 1.1 million patients are diagnosed with lung cancer.
My worry is not that research is not being done on common cancers. Take the big three: breast, lung and colorectal cancer. I attend at least half a dozen two to three-day international meetings a year devoted to one or more of the big three where we are updated (persuaded?) on the latest research findings.
Kidney, stomach, pancreas and liver cancer are also getting lots of attention these days.
My worry is that rare cancers do not get enough attention. Firstly there are too few patients to do meaningful clinical trials on. More importantly, the return on investment is simply not there.
Take the drug, trastuzumab, for example. This drug is now routinely used to treat breast cancer patients who overexpress the HER2 oncogene (about 25% of breast cancer patients). It took US$1.5bil (RM4.95bil) (no printing error here) to research and develop this drug for routine clinical use! Which pharmaceutical company would undertake expensive research for a cancer that is only infrequently diagnosed? How long would it take them to recover the research and development cost?
What is the answer? I don’t know. I feel that the government and publicly-funded universities should take up the gauntlet and do research on rare cancers.
I end on an optimistic note. Certain subsets of lung cancer patients benefit a lot from two new drugs i.e. gefitinib and erlotinib. These, unlike conventional chemotherapy, target receptors and pathways involved in the growth of cancer cells. They are taken orally and produce fewer side-effects.
Orientals and non-smokers who have lung cancer will soon be treated with gefitinib as first-line therapy. Erlotinib is already registered for second and third line treatment in lung cancer. All sub groups benefit a bit, but again, orientals, non-smokers and women benefit more.
Let this be every doctor’s credo: “I shall treat all patients equally; be it a Dato’ or a dolt, a Tan Sri or a transvestite”.

from what i have read above.. i think all doctors in this world have problem to threat their patients especailly on seriouse cases like cancer ang AIDS.. but i not agree with the writer opinion which said that all the the seriouse cancer are cause by bad life style because there are still some patients who suffered that desease because their genetic, get from their parents, blood transfer, pollution and also some others causes that happen excidentaly.. but its true that we need more research for small cases because that patients need help to still alive too.. thays all..bye
Hight doses of vitamin C injections reduced the size of tumors and slowed cancerous growths by about 50 percent in laboratory mice. The information of hydrogen peroxide in the extracellutar fluid surronding the tumors. Injection were necessary because the body regulates vitamin C when ingested so that higher doses can not be attained. The findings provide the first firm basis for advancing pharmacologic ascorbate in cancer treatment in humans.
Scientists warn forest clearing more harmful than thought.
Clearing natural forest in Australia would pose a greater danger to the global climate than previously thought because they hold three times as much carbon as extimated. Current international focus on reducing the destruction of forests in developing countries. Thay want to protect their forest. If natural forests continue to be cleared nad degrated then the carbon dioxide release will causes more green house effect or global warming. This will bring for big climate change for each. The attenction not only focus on clearing forest, but also fossil fuel burning.
HIGH ALERT: Malaysia on look-out for melamine-tainted greens imported from China
The Health Ministry alert over vegetables imported from China. The action has been taken to check on all the food products from China, like take the samples to ensure the products are safe for consumption before releasing it into market. So, then noticing that melamine-tainted food products in the country were at the permissible level of 2.5 parts per million (ppm), whilst baby products contained one ppm. That will bring harmful to costomer who bought it! So, try to be more careful when buy anything.
salam... have u read this book?? 'P.S. I love you'...written by Cecelia Ahern..
A grieving widow finds her husband's warmth radiating from the afterlife when she discovers that he left her a series of tasks to be revealed in ten monthly messages and designed to help her overcome her sorrow while gradually making the transition into a new life. Holly Kennedy is a New York real estate broker whose good-humored husband, Irishman Gerry, always stood by her side. Suddenly, and seemingly out of nowhere, Gerry succumbs to a brain tumor and Holly is left to face an uncertain future. No one in the world knows Holly better than Gerry, not even her mother or her best friends, Sharon and Denise. But while Holly remains unsure if she can go on without the love of her life to help guide her, Gerry has planned ahead. On Holly's 30th birthday, she receives a cake and a special tape recording from Gerry that implores her to get out and celebrate instead of staying in and mourning. Later, as the months wear on, a series of additional messages arrive from Gerry -- always delivered in the most remarkable and surprising of ways. With each new message comes a new adventure, and each letter signs off in the same familiar way: "P.S. I love you." Despite the fact that Holly's mother and friends think these humorous, posthumous messages are keeping Holly bound to the past, the truth is that they are lovingly guiding her into the future while proving that sometimes death isn't just the end, but a new beginning as well.

One of the easiest ways to check if you’re in a healthy weight is by measuring your Body Mass Index (BMI), which calculates the range of healthy weights for different heights and is a useful guide for most adults. Follow the simple procedures below:
1. Convert your weight into kilograms (kg) and your height into metres (m).
2. Divide your weight by your height squared. This figure is your BMI.
You might have read from some other guidelines that recommend a different cut-off for overweight and obesity. Indeed, the WCRF guide has indicated that healthy BMI for men and women in Asia is between 18.5-22.9. Hence in the public health goal above, BMI was targeted at between 21 and 23.
Malaysian dietary guidelines continue to use BMI of between 18.5 to 24.9 as the desirable weight range. This is also the World Health Organisation recommended range. It is not necessary to be overly hung up on cut-offs. What is important is to bear in mind the recommendation of WCRF to be as lean as possible within the normal range of body weight.
For cancer prevention, it is important to remember that we should aim for the lower end of this range.
We have noted earlier that where the extra weight is laid down is important. We know that having excess fat around the waist is especially harmful. It is therefore useful to measure waist circumference as an approximate indicator of abdominal fat mass. It is a convenient and simple measurement that can be done using a tape measure.
As a guide, a healthy waist measurement is less than 80 cm (32 inches) for women and less than 90 cm (35 inches) for men. Remember that the measurement should be taken after breathing out!
One of Malacca’s most distinctive attractions is none other than the Peranakan or Straits Chinese, Chinese migrants who intermarried with the locals and settled here during the early 1400s.
Over time, they assimilated Malay language and customs into their lives, and created a fusion culture of their own.
The men came to be known as Baba, while the women are referred to as Nyonya. Malay influence is very strong in their clothing and food, but they have also retained their Chinese heritage, especially their religion, name and ethnic identity.
Peranakan cuisine came about because these settlers applied the Chinese method to Malay ingredients and recipes. Their food is tangy, aromatic, spicy and also herbal. Perennial favourites include nyonya laksa, kapitan chicken, itek tim, cendol and nyonya kuih.
The architectural style of the Peranakan’s townhouses also borrowed freely from other cultures, fusing Victorian, Chinese and Malay elements. These Peranakan buildings are also found in Penang, but the 17th century Malaccan specimens are among the oldest in the country.
The front of the house is typically heavily embellished with brightly coloured tiles, wooden shutters, large gold Chinese characters on black signboards and elaborate doors.
Badminton:Back-up shuttlers told to think big. RASHID Sidek has challenged the back-up shuttlers, who will be promoted to the senior squad, to start thinking big and go the extra mile to justify their inclusion in the 2012 London Olympics project. Chong Wei Feng, Arif Latif, Tan Chun Seang and Liew Daren are certain to make the grade in the men's singles, while Julia Wong and Lydia Cheah are the women's singles who will be part of the four-year programme. The players were in Rashid's back-up squad for the last three years and he feels promotion will put them under more pressure, but eventually force them out of their comfort zones. Rashid admitted that their current level is far off from Lee Chong Wei and even trail Hafiz Hashim and Kuan Beng Hong, so they must grab this opportunity to become top class players The progress shown by Julia, who finished runner-up in the Macau Open on Sunday, and Lydia, the Taiwan Open runner-up, has been encouraging but Rashid wants them to remain consistent. Olympics project coordinator Kenny Goh will have a meeting with Yap Kim Hock, Misbun Sidek, Rexy Mainaky and Rashid tomorrow to finalise the number of players in the elite squad.
ALCOHOLIC DRINKS: Stop sale of these 'soft drinks' with alcohol By : S.M. MOHAMED IDRIS for Consumers Association of Penang
IN August 1997, the Consumers Association of Penang (CAP) exposed the hazards behind the sales of Alcopops, a trendy intoxicating beverage targeting the youth market. After all this time, similar beverages, designed and packaged like soft drinks, are once again readily available in the market. Earlier this year, we supplied the relevant agency with information on the sale of these drinks and handed over several of these drink samples to both the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, hoping for action to be taken.
Just a few days ago, we found exactly the same drinks being sold at a leading supermarket in Selangor. The drinks were placed in the general section, (not in the dedicated alcoholic drinks section) and only the words tidak halal were pasted on the shelves to warn customers. Even then, price stickers were found pasted over these tidak halal warnings, partially or almost completely hiding them.
The law clearly states that the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons below the age of 18 is prohibited. Unfortunately, these drinks are openly accessible to anyone who wishes to purchase them, including youngsters.
These beverages are presented with colourful labels, for example bright pink or orange, making them very attractive. Some of these drinks have an alcohol content as high as 5.5 per cent. This percentage is higher than the alcohol content in beer but it is still sold to children freely. CAP's surveys have shown that there is a good chance the public may consume these drinks without knowing that they contain a high level of alcohol. This is due to the misleading labels which give the impression that these drinks are harmless.
We noted one brightly orange-coloured label which highlights that the drink contains Vitamin C. The alcohol content is often printed in small lettering that can hardly be noticed or often placed at the back of the bottle label.
Consumers can easily be misled and assume that they are buying a mere fruit drink or a soft drink.
The relevant agencies should quickly initiate measures that will see an immediate ban on the sale of alcoholic soft drinks. These drinks pose a serious danger to youngsters.
comment:to me the responsible persons and relevent agencies should aware about this problem because all of this action will effect the consumers who had drank the drink without knowing it is an alcoholic drink.it also openly accessible to anyone who wishes to purchase it including youngsters because its were placed in the general section

Yoga is refers to traditional physical and mental disciplines originating in India, to the goal achieved by those disciplines, and to one of the six orthodox (āstika) schools of Hindu philosophy.
Yoga is classified into major branches. It include Raja Yoga, Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, and Hatha Yoga. Raja Yoga, compiled in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and known simply as yoga in the context of Hindu philosophy, is part of the Samkhya tradition. Many other Hindu texts discuss aspects of yoga, including the Vedas, Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, the Shiva Samhita and various Tantras.
The Sanskrit word yoga has many meanings, and is derived from the Sanskrit root yuj, meaning to control, to yoke or to unite. Translations include joining, uniting, union, conjunction, and means. Outside India, the term yoga is typically associated with Hatha Yoga and its asanas (postures) or as a form of exercise. A practitioner of Yoga is called a Yogi (unisex term) or Yogini (for female).
The goal of yoga may range from anywhere between improved health and reaching Moksha. Within the monist schools of Advaita Vedanta and Shaivism the goal of yoga takes the form of Moksha, which is liberation from all worldly suffering and the cycle of birth and death (Samsara), at which point there is a realisation of identity with the Supreme Brahman. In the Mahabharata, the goal of yoga is variously described as entering the world of Brahma, as Brahman, or as perceiving the Brahman or Atman that pervades all things. For the bhakti schools of Vaishnavism, bhakti or service to Svayam bhagavan itself is the ultimate goal of the yoga process, where in perfection culminates in an eternal relationship with Vishnu, Rama or Krsna.
comment: even yoga comes from hindu culture but now it is very famous in the entire world and it is practise by all people including in malaysia.in hindu religion it is a proces where in perfection culminates in an eternal relationship with their god but now it comes as a familiar excersice exspecially to women because it is easy to practise and very effective way to realise tension.
Tobacco smoke contain three principal dangerous chemicals: tar, nicotine, and carbon monoxide. Tar is a mixture of several substances (hydrocarbons) that condense into a sticky substance in the lungs. Nicotine is an addictive drug that is absorbed from the lungs and acts mainly on the nervous and cardiovascular systems. And carbon monoxide decreases the amount of oxygen that red blood cells can carry throughout the body. Consider the average smoker a person who smokes 15 to 20 cigarettes per day. Compared with nonsmoker he or she is about 14 times more likely to die from cancer of the lung, throat or mouth 4 times more likely to die from cancer of the esophagus, twice as likely to die from heart attack. Cigarettes are a principal cause of chonic bronchitis and emphysema and having a chronic lung disease increase the risks of pneumonia and heart failure. The usually minor risks of blood clots from oral contraceptives are much greater among women smokers and doctors do not usually prescribe oral contraceptives for smokers over 35 for this reason. Smoking also increases the risk of high blood pressure. Some brands of cigarettes contain less tar and nicotine than others hut there is no such things as a safe cigarette. Switching to mild cigarettes does not usually help; habitually heavy smokers usually adapt their smoking habits to the switch by inhaling longer and more deeply and by smoking more cigarettes.
comment;smoking is a very unhealthy activities.it can cause heart attack, esophagus cancer and others chronic diseases.it not just effect the smokers but it also effect the sekunders smokers. in fact the sekunders smoker will have more effect than the smokers because the smoke that release is more dangerous than the smoke that inhale by the smokers.thus please stop smoking if you love the people around you
A camera is a device that takes photos of images, either as a photograph or moving images known as videos or movies. The term comes from the camera obscura (Latin for "dark chamber"), an early mechanism of projecting images where an entire room functioned as a real-time imaging system; the modern camera evolved from the camera obscura. Cameras may work with the light of the visible spectrum or with other portions of the electromagnetic spectrum. A camera generally consists of an enclosed hollow with an opening (aperture) at one end for light to enter, and a recording or viewing surface for capturing the light at the other end. A majority of cameras have a lens positioned in front of the camera's opening to gather the incoming light and focus all or part of the image on the recording surface. The diameter of the aperture is often controlled by a diaphragm mechanism, but some cameras have a fixed-size aperture.
Bioinformatics and computational biology involve the use or development of techniques, including applied mathematics, informatics, statistics, computer science, artificial intelligence, chemistry, and biochemistry to solve biological problems, usually on the molecular level. The primary goal of bioinformatics is to increase our understanding of biological processes. What sets it apart from other approaches, however, is its focus on developing and applying computationally intensive techniques (e.g., data mining, and machine learning algorithms) to achieve this goal. Major research efforts in the field include sequence alignment, gene finding, protein structure alignment and prediction, prediction of gene expression and protein-protein interactions, and the modeling of evolution.

It is related from Anas ibn Malik in al-Bukhari that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Among the signs of the Hour are the disappearance of knowledge, the establishment of ignorance, the drinking of wine and the appearance of fornication." Abu Hurayra was heard to relate from the Prophet, "Knowledge will be taken away, ignorance and sedition will appear, and there will be a lot of killing."
The first of these signs of the deterioration of humanity and approaching end of time is the disappearance of the knowledge which we are commanded to seek in words of Allah, "Say: Lord, increase me in knowledge." (20:114) The importance of knowledge and its consequences is expressed throughout the Qur'an: "Only His slaves who have knowledge fear Allah," (35:28) and "Only those with knowledge will understand it," (29:43) and "And they say, 'If only we had listened or used our intellects we would not have been among the people of the Blaze." (67:10) The list of ayats about this goes on and on. Without knowledge you will not fear Allah and will not understand, and hence are likely to end up in the Fire.
The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "If Allah desires good for someone, He gives him understanding in the deen. Knowledge is gained through learning." Abu Dharr pointed to his neck and said, "If you were to put the sword here and I thought that I could finish one sentence which I heard from the Prophet before you finished me, I would say it." But you must take care with knowledge. Knowledge can be a dangerous thing. Knowledge can be confused with information and knowledge can be misused. Hammad ibn Salama, who was thought to be one of the Abdal, said, "Whoever utters hadith for the sake of other than Allah is deceived by it." A commentator pointed out that knowledge can deceive him because knowledge is like the ferocious lion and hadith is the core of knowledge. This lion can only be overcome through the help of Allah by having fear of Allah and sincere intention. Even if you overcome the lion, you must still be alert because if you ignore and neglect it, it will become unsubmissive. Then the lion will attack its owner and kill him. So knowledge is a dangerous creature requiring great caution and care.
This is reflected in what the Prophet said which is reported in al-Bukhari, "Allah will not take away knowledge from His servants, but knowledge will be taken away as the men of knowledge are taken away until there is not a single man of knowledge left. Then people will take ignorant men for their leaders who will be asked something and will give a fatwa (decision) without any knowledge. They will go astray and lead others astray." This does not mean that they do not have libraries of tafsir, hadith and commentaries. Other hadiths and sayings of the Prophet describe people who know the Qur'an by heart, but do not know what it means or what it says. Their knowledge is in the books and on the tongues, and not in the heart or on the limbs.
Abu'd-Darda' related that he heard the Prophet say, "Allah revealed to one of the Prophets, 'Say unto those who study fiqh for a purpose other than the deen and to those who acquire knowledge for a purpose other than that of acting according to it, that they appear before people in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravening wolves. Their tongues are sweeter than honey, but their hearts are more bitter than colocynth. They act deceitfully against Me and scorn Me. I will confront them with temptations which would confound even the wise."
Ibn Mas'ud stated, "The Qur'an was revealed in order that men may direct their lives according to its teaching. But instead you have made it your life work."
my comment:
as i read on this article i know that how important the knowledge in our life... knowledge is cool... whether it is good or not... from this article i've got that there are 3 types of people in respect of knowlegde... 1)one who follows true knowledge and applies it 2)one who seeks to satisfy his appetites, 3)and one who seeks to have people follow his opinions. so which one i related to you... think of it... have fun....thank you... wait for me in the other version...
Biofuel vs Biodiesel PDF Print E-mail Written by Administrator Saturday, 13 May 2006 What is the different between biofuel and biodiesel? Both sound similar, but the reality is not. Many people thought that biofuel is the biodiesel itself.
As biofuel is the fuel which directly derived from biomass, biodiesel needs a special process to transform its source from the biomass to a fuel.
Let see what the definition of both that I excerpt from various sources from the internet:
Biodiesel
1. Palm Biodiesel is an alternative fuel derived from palm oil and can be used in compression ignition engines i.e. diesel engines without any modifications. It refers to methyl esters derived from palm oil through a process known as ‘transesterification’. Source: Carotino
2. Biodiesel, however, is an alternative fuel to petroleum-based diesel, which can be manufactured from vegetable oils such as palm, rapeseed (canola), soy, linseed, jatropha and coconut oil. Biodiesel can also be manufactured from animal fats (including tallow) and used cooking oils.
The use of Biodiesel does not require any major changes in the fuel distribution system, avoiding the need for expensive additional infrastructure.
In many instances, Biodiesel is mixed with petroleum-based diesel to create a Biodiesel blend, which can then be sold into the general diesel market. Source: Mission Biofuels
Biofuel:
1.Biofuel is any fuel that derives from biomass — recently living organisms or their metabolic byproducts, such as manure from cows. It is a renewable energy source, unlike other natural resources such as petroleum, coal and nuclear fuels. A better definition of Biofuel is any fuel with an 80% minimum content by volume of materials derived from living organisms harvested within the ten years preceding its manufacture.[citation needed] Agricultural products specifically grown for use as biofuels include corn and soybeans, primarily in the United States, as well as flaxseed and rapeseed, primarily in Europe.
Much research is currently in progress into the utilization of microalgae as an energy source, with applications being developed for biodiesel, ethanol, methanol, methane, and even hydrogen. On the rise is use of hemp, although current politics currently restrains it. Waste from industry, agriculture, forestry, and households can also be used to produce bioenergy; examples include straw, lumber, manure, sewage, garbage and food leftovers.
Most biofuel is burned to release its stored chemical energy. The largest advantage of biofuel in comparison to most other fuel types is that the energy within the biomass can be stored for an indefinite time-period and without any danger. Source: Wikipedia
Both of biodiesel and biofuel posses their own advantages as well as disadvantages.
While biofuel can be directly derived from any vegetable oil and needs no any chemical process to allow it to flow in any diesel engine, the biodiesel fuel are mostly consist of vegetable oil mixed with the diesel and some chemical subtances.
The use of Biofuel however require minor changes in the fuel distribution system adding some components such as fuel filters, heater, changing valves and extra oil tanks.
MY COMMENT: From what i saw many student or people confuse about boifuel and biodiesel... so i want to let all of you know what the diffrences between biofuel and biodiesel...
According to some article in the internet, biofuel is the fuel which directly derived from biomass, biodiesel needs a special process to transform its source from the biomass to a fuel.
The largest advantage of Biofuel in comparison to most other fuel types is that the energy within the biomass can be stored for an indefinite time-period and without any danger.
The benefits of Biodiesel are:
a. Biodiesel produces approximately 80% less carbon dioxide, and almost 100% less sulphur dioxide;
b. Biodiesel, when used as an additive, improves the lubricity of ultra low sulphur diesel.
so...do not confuse between what is biofuel and boidiesel... both are similar but different in the method of how to get it.... that all from me.. thank you..
Lisa gazed out over the Caribbean Sea, feeling the faint breeze against her face - eyes shut, the white sand warm between her bare toes. The place was beautiful beyond belief, but it was still unable to ease the grief she felt as she remembered the last time she had been here. She had married James right here on this spot three years ago to the day. Dressed in a simple white shift dress, miniature white roses attempting to tame her long dark curls, Lisa had been happier than she had ever thought possible

I love the story and it is a great reminder of how much communication can make a difference in your life.
I think this story is amazing, because when the author first mentions the man standing there i kinda thought it was her husband but then again when they sat down to talk i was sure he wasn't and then in the end it does turn out to be him....i love just love stories like this
"Have you been there?" "Been where?" I was totally dazed. From dropping my book and banging my head and everything. "Australia, New Zealand." I stared at him and thought again of what Mark had said about me reminding him of someone. An Australian? Maybe an ex-girlfriend or wife? "Not such a strange question," he said. "You're old enough to have travelled there. And Katherine Mansfield, Janet Frame, are most likely in the book." His smile crinkled up his eyes. "No, I haven't and yes, they are," I said. That's how it started. He asked me a question, nodded when I spoke and then asked another. I was off, talking about reading, books and all that stuff I love.

I liked this story alot... I was dissapointed with the ending tho i just wish it would of been her father but hey its cool they are friends. I also thought it was going to be more of a love story intill the phrase Old like ur dad . But most of all this story was really good.
Very nice use of dialog to move the story along. However it felt disjointed to me and I wasn't certain where the author really wanted to go with it.
Research has shown that music has a profound effect on your body and psyche. In fact, there’s a growing field of health care known as Music Therapy, which uses music to heal. Those who practice music therapy are finding a benefit in using music to help cancer patients, children with ADD, and others, and even hospitals are beginning to use music and music therapy to help with pain management, to help ward off depression, to promote movement, to calm patients, to ease muscle tension, and for many other benefits that music and music therapy can bring. This is not surprising, as music affects the body and mind in many powerful ways. The following are some of effects of music, which help to explain the effectiveness of music therapy
BRAIN WAVES: Research has shown that music with a strong beat can stimulate brainwaves to resonate in sync with the beat, with faster beats bringing sharper concentration and more alert thinking, and a slower tempo promoting a calm, meditative state. Also, research has found that the change in brainwave activity levels that music can bring can also enable the brain to shift speeds more easily on its own as needed, which means that music can bring lasting benefits to your state of mind, even after you’ve stopped listening
Breathing and Heart Rate: With alterations in brainwaves comes changes in other bodily functions. Those governed by the autonomic nervous system, such as breathing and heart rate can also be altered by the changes music can bring. This can mean slower breathing, slower heart rate, and an activation of the relaxation response, among other things. This is why music and music therapy can help counteract or prevent the damaging effects of chronic stress, greatly promoting not only relaxation, but health
State of Mind: Music can also be used to bring a more positive state of mind, helping to keep depression and anxiety at bay. This can help prevent the stress response from wreaking havoc on the body, and can help keep creativity and optimism levels higher, bringing many other benefits.
Other Benefits: Music has also been found to bring many other benefits, such as lowering blood pressure (which can also reduce the risk of stroke and other health problems over time), boost immunity, ease muscle tension, and more. With so many benefits and such profound physical effects, it’s no surprise that so many are seeing music as an important tool to help the body in staying (or becoming) healthy
So my comment is : there are many types of music such as pop, Classic, Rock, Heavy Metal and also Country Music. For me, I love all kind of music including the classic one. i used to listen to it even during my study. Music helps me a lot espesially to relief my tense during study or assigment. i agree with the article that is music can brings lots of benefits to us. So, let all of us gets the benefits from it..
first Manage Time Wisely: It’s important to give yourself plenty of time to work on your studies if you want to do well, and you can save yourself a lot of stress if you plan ahead with good time management skills. Setting up a schedule for study, breaking up your studies into smaller chunks, and other time management skills are essential.second,Get Organized: Have a system of organization for note-taking, keeping track of assignments, and other important papers. Being organized can bring you the peace of mind that comes from knowing where everything is, remembering deadlines and test dates, and clearing your mind of some of the mental clutter that disorganization brings. Keep a calendar, a schedule, and a filing system for your school assignments, and you’ll find it prevents a significant amount of stress! next,Create a Good Study Environment: Creating a soothing environment can reduce stress and help you learn. Aromatherapy, for example, is a known stress reliever, and peppermint essential oil is said to wake up your brain, so I recommend burning it as you study. Playing classical music as you study can also soothe you and help you learn (unless you find it distracting).then,Know Your Learning Style: Did you know that we don’t all learn in the same way? It’s important to know whether you’re a visual, kinesthetic or auditory learner, as you can tailor your study practices around your particular learning style and make success easier to attain.beside Get Enough Sleep: If you want your performance to be optimum you need to be well-rested. Research shows that those who are sleep-deprived have more trouble learning and remembering, and perform more poorly in many areas. Work your schedule so you get enough sleep, or take power naps. finally,Use Stress Management Techniques: Chronic stress can actually impair your ability to learn and remember facts as well, stress management is one of the most important--and most overlooked--school necessities. A regular stress management practice can reduce your overall stress level and help you to be prepared for whatever comes, you should read this article ecause it can help you a lot to reduce you stress.
my comment is: you sholuld try the tips above. i have try it.. it really work out..
Step1Make a realistic commitment to study and create a good time table for your self Step2Divide the learning into short periods of time followed by a little rest after each study lesson Step3Read by understanding instead of cramming because it may affect you during exam Step4First look at the beginning and end of a chapter or notes and come back to the middle Step5Carefully go over the entire chapter or notes and come back to the middle again Step6Outline the important points and pass through them for atleast two times in order to understand them properly Step7Since learning is enhanced when you are relaxed, take time before you start studying by stretching, walking, playing or whatever helps you to relax. This will keep your brain fresh Step8Study in a confortable place with good environment and make enough survey about the topic so as to see how the paths relate to the whole before you start Step9If the assighnment requires a text book for reference, try to get it in time.Review the introduction, table of contents, summaries and chapter previews and then start a serious studying Step10In order to sustain your concetration, take notes, self test, ask questions and meet students who knows better than you for the serious discussions Step11In order to strengthen your memory of material, ask your self how it relates to prior learning. In this way you may seek association and connection with the information you have already committed to memory Step12Write your notes in your own words for easy understanding in times of revising Step13Slow down when you come across material that is difficult.Istead re-read it, move on and return to it later to see if it makes more sense Step14Review the main concepts for atleast every 10 to 15 minutes. Then again after one day, and again after a week. This process will help you to record information as a long term memory
motivational sayings & stories - A Box Full of Kisses
The story goes that some time ago, a man punished his 3-year-old daughter for wasting a roll of gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and he became infuriated when the child tried to decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree. Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift to her father the next morning and said, "This is for you, Daddy."
The man was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction, but his anger flared again when he found out the box was empty. He yelled at her, stating, "Don't you know, when you give someone a present, there is supposed to be something inside? The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and cried, "Oh, Daddy, it's not empty at all. I blew kisses into the box. They're all for you, Daddy."
The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little girl, and he begged for her forgiveness.
Only a short time later, an accident took the life of the child. It is also told that her father kept that gold box by his bed for many years and, whenever he was discouraged, he would take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had put it there.
In a very real sense, each one of us, as humans beings, have been given a gold container filled with unconditional love and kisses... from our children, family members, friends, and God. There is simply no other possession, anyone could hold, more precious than this.
Today I want to share to everyone about the preparation to your study..this is a few step..
Be sure you know what is to be tested. Ask questions of the lecture if there are any doubts. Once you know what will be covered on the test or quiz, then you can more successfully direct your studying efforts accordingly.
Organize your study aids. Include class notes, past quizzes, handouts, and notes from chapter and outside reading assignments. Usually, it is useful to organize all study.
Start at least two weeks before the test to read through all of your notes. Try to obtain "the big picture," how all the material is going to come together, how major topics relate to one another, and how important each topic is to the lecture. Look for clues that were given in class. "This is a very important point". "Put a big star by this".
Quiz yourself often. If your answer feels shaky, then your understanding of the material is probably weak.
In practicing essay questions, check to see whether you left out major points? Are all statements clearly understood? Continue this process during the course of the next two weeks or longer.
I hope not to late to do something to yourself about your study. No one perfect. But we must try..try and try... Never give up.. And then you can success.. All the best!!! Wslm.
I just want to share about want I feel now, there are people out there who just use religion as their easy way out, remember the movie "Kingdom Of Heaven"? The Christians in the movie keep on saying "God wants/wills it" to justify their intention kill the Muslims, a part of that, honor killing in Pakistan, killing innocent lives while chanting the takbir does not justify your act, Allah has mentioned that "do not let your hatred of a people prevent you from being just"(Al-Quran, 5:8), another thing that I would like to point out here is the differences between form and substance, people keep on saying that we need to have "Islamic" this and that, it's not that I against any of this move, but what we should emphasize at the first place is the substance or value of Islam, Islam is just too beautiful for the believers, in order for us to really understanding how beautiful Islam is to us, we should ask ourselves how strong is our faith, why do we pray 5 times a day? Is it just our daily routine? What is our purpose of life? Looking back at the history when Al-Quran being revealed to our beloved Prophet Muhammad the earlier years keep on emphasizing on to strengthen our faith, in other words, if we are strong in our faith, insyaallah we will be well attached to the Islamic values, it's all about our faith.. The substance of being a Muslim
Global Warming... Global Warming Skeptics - What are they saying? Global Warming Facts - How does it affect you? The green house gases like carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide are playing hazards in the present times. These green house gases trap heat in earth’s atmosphere and thus result in increasing the temperature of earth. The excessive emission of these gases is one of the major Causes of Global Warming. The major source of carbon dioxide is the power plants. These power plants emit large amounts of carbon dioxide produced from burning of fossil fuels for the purpose of electricity generation.
There has been a considerable increase in the average temperature of earth in the past century. This rise in temperature is attributed to the effects of global warming brought about by the accumulation of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. This phenomenon is called Global Warming. The effects of global warming are numerous. The main culprits in the issue are excessive discharge of green house gases in the atmosphe
Salam... Here’s how to develop your leadership skills, adapted from Lombardo and Eichenger’s Leadership Machine.
1. Know what the target looks like. There are hundreds of books out there that claim to offer the secrets of how to be a great leader or manager, including “Leadership Secrets of Attila the Hun” to “Leadership the Soprano’s Way”. It can be overwhelming, confusing, and sometimes contradictory.
So what’s an aspiring leader to do? This is why as a practitioner (someone who’s responsible for leadership development within a company), it’s important to clearly define the critical leadership competencies that are required now and in the future in order for the business to succeed.
There are great research-based models to pick from (Lominger, CCL, PDI, DDI), so there’s no need to start from scratch. I’ve found it’s best to first understand your company’s strategy and leadership requirements, create a draft competency model, then engage your CEO and senior executives, as well as other key stakeholders to validate the model.
If you’re an aspiring leader with no company model, then study the successful leaders in your company. Talk to them, ask them how they’ve been successful, then supplement this information with a couple good books (see amazon list on this sidebar).
2. Know where you stand against the target – seek out feedback. If you have access to one, a 360 degree assessment is a great way to gather confidential feedback on your leadership skills. Even better if the assessment is based on your company’s leadership model.
You can also ask trusted colleagues for ongoing feedback. If there’s something specific you’re trying to improve, like listening skills, or assertiveness, you can ask your manager, a coach, or colleague to observe you and give you feedback on that skill. While feedback is one of the most powerful sources of development, unfortunately, it’s often lacking. First of all, managers just aren’t good at it. In fact, most people aren’t comfortable giving feedback. That, combined with our own natural emotional response to feedback (fight or flight), we often don’t get enough of it. And it gets worse the higher we get in an organization (the “it’s lonely at the top” syndrome).
3. Have a reason to develop – be motivated. It’s almost impossible for someone to develop if they don’t want to. The motivation has to come from within, some kind driving force. That’s usually not a problem with successful, ambitious people – improving leadership their leadership skills is often seen as a key to their success. For others, becoming a great leader is almost a calling, part of a purpose driven-driven life.
4. Get specific. I’ve seen so many development plans that say things like, “improve my leadership skills”, or “become a better leader”. Nice intentions, but pretty worthless when it comes to real development. You need to drill down and uncover the behaviors that if improved, will make the greatest improvement in your effectiveness as a leader.
And oh by the way – with all due respects to Marcus Buckingham (Discover you Strengths), weaknesses do matter. It’s your weaknesses that will hold you back, so find out what they are and fix them.
5. Create a plan – and put your plan in writing. The research is clear – people that set goals are more successful than those that don’t, even better if they are written and even better if they are specific. Create your own “Individual Development Plan” (IDP). Do it – you deserve it.
6. Hit the need or needs with every learning method available. For some big needs, a job change may be the best development remedy (and the most powerful). In lieu of that, look for projects that require you to use the skill you are trying to develop. For example, if you’re trying to become a better listener, lead a project where you’re not the subject matter expert, so you’re forced to listen to others.
Learn from other people (experts, mentors, coaches, etc…), from courses and books. Whatever you do, make sure you’re really challenging yourself. A robust development plan should make you a little queasy just thinking about it, there should be a risk of failure. It’s that “development heat” that causes the most impactful behavioral changes.
7. Make sense of it all. Think about what you did, what you read, what you learned. What were the lessons? What should you incorporate as a permanent part of your repertoire? What should you reject? What did you learn about yourself? It’s often helpful to have a trusted coach or mentor to help you with those “V8 moments”.
8. Finally, develop a sense of “learning agility”. A recent study showed that learning agility was the single most significant predictor of leadership success. Be curious, be open to new experiences, try new things, experiment, and take pride in being able to tackle the new and unknown.
There are several tips how to organize holiday shopping..
Step 1: Create a Budget Image by someecards.comIf you have a firm sense of what you'd like to spend on Christmas gifts, it will automatically limit the time you spend playing the part of harried shopper. Here are a few things to keep in mind as you create a holiday shopping budget: Settle on a Figure: Decide how much you want to spend overall. You can break down this amount by person, family or gift when you create your gift-giving list. Include Gift-Related Costs: Include gift wrapping, cards and shipping in your budget. Budget Time: Time is as important as money. You need time to plan, time to save, time to shop and time to wrap all those thoughtful gifts. Step 2: Make a List Make a list, and check it twice. (Photo by Rodolfo Clix)The key to organization is the almighty list. Even Santa keeps one. Here's what you should keep track of on one or more holiday shopping lists: Gift Recipient Gift Recipient's Address if You're Shipping Gifts Amount Budgeted per Person Gift-Giving Ideas Where to Buy the Gift Whether You've Already Bought or Shipped the Gift Make Your List Manageable Part of staying organized is not overwhelming yourself with a list as long as Santa's. You don't need to eliminate anyone based on their naughty or nice quotient, but there are a few techniques you can use to whittle that list down to the essentials. Cut the List in Half: Once you've listed everyone and their brother on your holiday shopping list, cut it in half. Who do you want to give gifts to versus who you feel obliged to give gifts to? When you give a gift, you should be giving it from the heart not out of a sense of social or professional obligation. If you must give gifts to co-workers or relatives you don't care for, limit the amount you spend on them. Consider a Gift Exchange: If your family or circle of friends is open to it, consider a gift exchange with a set spending limit. Buy a Family Gift: You don't have to buy mom, dad and all the kids individual presents. Buy a gift they can use together - a zoo membership, tickets to a family-friendly show or a restaurant gift certificate. Assign a Price Limit per Person: Break down your overall budget by person. In the end, you may find that you spend more time than money on the people you care about most
Gamat Emas is rather a more interesting marine sea cucumber, which can rarely be seen in the open seabed. Although can be classified under holothurians, unlike most of the sea cucumber, this marine species is very rich in mucopolysaccharides and chondoritins and other soft tissues resembling soft cartilage, explaining for the facts that it melts when exposed to the sunlight. Our analysis also shows that it is rich in other natural nutrients such as protein, vitamins A and C, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, iron, manganese, calcium, magnesium and zinc.
Gamat Emas is widely known among the Malays in Malaysia as a wound healing. Villagers wonder of nature and reaping its benefits; obviously firm believers that gamat emas is the perfect remedy for cuts, sores and inflammation.
The research on 'air gamat' - the name for the water extract derived from the golden sea cucumber of Malaysia took a long time to materialize. Locals have used this marine substance for about 500 years. In fact, Malays swear by the usage of air gamat as a remedy for cuts, peptic ulcers, chest pain, sores and inflammation.
After 10 years of research in University of Malaya and the Japanese Universities, we have now discovered the active substance and the mechanisms of its actions. Beside it's proven efficiency in enhancing the body's resistance towards various diseases, from common flu to more problematic conditions, including diabetes, cancer, it is also known that it contains a cell growth factor which has the ability to accelerate the regeneration of biological cells, bone, collagen and rejuvenates skin. We have now refined the extract and come up with new generations of scientifically prepared products based on this purified polypeptide substance.
Hello... The comment that I am about to write is something very relevant in our daily lives so read it and benefit from it as it contains many information about our daily life tool... That is the HANDPHONE...
Owning a handphone means one can be easily reached when on the road or when one is not at home or in the office. It can even be used when one is overseas, using the ROAM service. There are features such as voice messages and SMS, in other words, Short Message Service. This is to allow people to contact a handphone owner even if he is busy or is unable take the call. These features enable the owner of the phone to know why he is being called, so on and so forth. SMS-es help to keep it short. Without calling, you can leave a short message. Nowadays though, people use it to have conversations, especially the young, and those who find it easier to message than to talk. It is also cheaper and thus allows one to save on talk time. Another advantage would be that of being able to call whenever and wherever there is an emergency, for example when you are in a road accident or you need to call someone and there does not seem to be any public phones nearby. There are also different mobile service plans to choose from to suit one’s communication needs, be it longer talk time, free incoming or outgoing calls, or more free local SMS. As such, one can reap much benefits and save costs. Nowadays, handphones rarely just have one function, which is to make and receive calls. There are more functions and features such as listening to music, taking pictures with an in-built camera, playing games, and even logging on the internet and etc.
There are also disadvantages that come along with the usage of handphones. Firstly, there are limitations to where a handphone can be used. If there were no reception, then there would be no possibility of making or receiving calls. On another note, a person can say he is at a certain place when in fact he s somewhere else. So, you can never be too sure of where a person might actually be. User-abuse is another factor. Here, what is meant by user-abuse is the fact that some users are not considerate in that they make use of the phone in places where it is not allowed. As such they disturb others. It is one thing to let it ring loudly, but yet another, to be answering the phone. For example, in movie theatres, plays and the like. It is said that there are dangers of handphone radiation, though there is no conclusive evidence to prove a link between cancer and handphone radiation. Lastly, handphones cannot be used in most parts of hospitals as it could affect the readings on the equipments due to the radiation emitted and would pose as great danger to the patients.
We often face headache problems in our daily lives. I read an article on how to prevent headache therefore these are the ways that i read on preventing headaches.
1. For fast headache relief, Chinese pressure points can be used. But identification of those pressure points is of utmost important. This help should be sought from the experts in this art only.
2. You can also make use of the analgesic and cooling properties of betel leaf. For this, apply it over the pain affected area and get the sought after relief from the intense headache.
3. Instead you can also use some common household remedies for headache relief. Apply the paste of clove and salt crystals made in milk. Salt which is a hygroscopic agent absorbs the fluid and decreases all your tension and headache.
4. For headache that is caused by the heat of the sun, use henna flowers. Make a plaster of henna flowers mixed in vinegar and apply it over the forehead to get the relief.
Try these ways and maybe you can find a solution for your headache..
She was so outstanding, many guys chasing after her, while he so normal, nobody paid attention to him.
At the end of the party, he invited her to have coffee with him, she was surprised, but due to being polite, she promised.
They sat in a nice coffee shop, he was too nervous to say anything, she felt uncomfortable, she thought, please, let me go home.... suddenly,
he asked the waiter. "would you please give me some salt? I'd like to put it in my coffee." Everybody stared at him, so strange! His face turned red, but still, he put the salt in his coffee and drank it.
She asked him curiously; why you have this hobby?
He replied: "when I was a little boy, I was living near the sea, I like playing in the sea, I could feel the taste of the sea, just like the taste of the salty coffee. Now every time I have the salty coffee, I always think of my childhood, think of my hometown, I miss my hometown so much, I miss my parents who are still living there". While saying that tears filled his eyes.
She was deeply touched. That's his true feeling, from the bottom of his heart. A man who can tell out his homesickness, he must be a man who loves home, cares about home, has responsibility of home.
Then she also started to speak, spoke about her faraway hometown, her childhood, her family. That was a really nice talk, also a beautiful beginning of their story.
They continued to date. She found that actually he was a man who meets all her demands; he had tolerance, was kind hearted, warm, careful.
He was such a good person but she almost missed him! Thanks to his salty coffee!
Then the story was just like every beautiful love story , the princess married to the prince, then they were living the happy life...
And, every time she made coffee for him, she put some salt in the coffee e, as she knew that's the way he liked it.
After 40 years, he passed away, left her a letter which said: "My dearest, please forgive me, forgive my whole life lie. This was the only lie I said to you---the salty coffee. Remember the first time we dated? I was so nervous at that time, actually I wanted some sugar, but I said salt. It was hard for me to change so I just went ahead.I never thought that could be the start of our communication! I tried to tell you the truth many times in my life, but I was too afraid to do that, as I have promised not to lie to you for anything.. Now I'm dying, I afraid of nothing so I tell you the truth: I don't like the salty coffee, what a strange bad taste.. But I have had the salty coffee for my whole life! Since I knew you, I never feel sorry for anything I do for you. " Having you with me is my biggest happiness for my whole life. If I can live for the second time, still want to know you and have you for my whole life, even though I have to drink the salty coffee again".
Her tears made the letter totally wet.
Someday, someone asked her: what's the taste of salty coffee?
It's sweet. She replied.
MY COMMENT After reading this story I was really touched. Although it just seems to be a fiction but I really could feel the love between the couples and the tolerance and love of the guy to the girl. It is such an aspiring story for me and I posted it because I want all of you to read this wonderful story.
Golf is a sport in which a player, using many types of clubs including a driver, a putter, and irons, hits a ball into each hole on a golf course in the lowest possible number of strokes. Golf is one of the few ball games that does not use a standardized playing area; rather, the game is played on golf "courses", each one of which has a unique design and typically consists of either 9 or 18 holes. Golf is defined in the Rules of Golf as "playing a ball with a club from the teeing ground into the hole by a stroke or successive strokes in accordance with the Rules" The first game of golf for which records survive was played at Bruntsfield Links, in Edinburgh, Scotland, in A.D. 1456, recorded in the archives of the Edinburgh Burgess Golfing Society, now The Royal Burgess Golfing Society. The modern game of golf spread from Scotland to England and has now become a worldwide game, with golf courses in the majority of affluent countries.
Golf competition is generally played as stroke play, in which the individual with the lowest number of strokes is declared the winner, or as match play with the winner determined by whichever individual or team posts the lower score on the most individual holes during a complete round.
Golf as a spectator sport has become increasingly popular, with several different levels of professional and amateur tours in many regions of the world. People such as Arnold Palmer, Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Lorena Ochoa, Pádraig Harrington, Annika Sörenstam and Severiano Ballesteros have become well-recognized sports figures across the world. Sponsorship has also become a huge part of the game and players often earn more from their sponsorship contracts than they do from the game itself.
I like playing golf very much.. when i have free time i will playing golf..i think golf is good sport to release your tension and i enjoyed playing it... you musy try it..!!!
The colour orange occurs between red and yellow in the visible spectrum at a wavelength of about 585 – 620 nm, and has a hue of 30° in HSV colour space. The complementary colour of orange is azure, a slightly greenish blue. Orange pigments are largely in the ochre or cadmium families, and absorb mostly blue light.

A fruit is a ripened ovary. Inside the ovary is one or more ovules (eggs). The ovules are fertilized in a process that starts with pollination, which is the movement of pollen from the stamens to the stigma of flowers. After pollination, a tube grows from the pollen through the stigma into the ovary to the ovule and sperm are transferred from the pollen to the ovule, when the sperm enters the nucleus of the ovule and the endosperm mother cell, the fertilization process is completed.[9] As the developing seeds mature, the ovary begins to ripen. The ovules develop into seeds and the ovary wall, the pericarp, may become fleshy (as in berries or drupes), or form a hard outer covering (as in nuts). In some cases, the sepals, petals and/or stamens and style of the flower fall off. Fruit development continues until the seeds have matured. In some multiseeded fruits, the extent to which the flesh develops is proportional to the number of fertilized ovules.[10]
The wall of the fruit, developed from the ovary wall of the flower, is called the pericarp. The pericarp is often differentiated into two or three distinct layers called the exocarp (outer layer - also called epicarp), mesocarp (middle layer), and endocarp (inner layer). In some fruits, especially simple fruits derived from an inferior ovary, other parts of the flower (such as the floral tube, including the petals, sepals, and stamens), fuse with the ovary and ripen with it. The plant hormone ethylene causes ripening. When such other floral parts are a significant part of the fruit, it is called an accessory fruit. Since other parts of the flower may contribute to the structure of the fruit, it is important to study flower structure to understand how a particular fruit forms.[3]
Fruits are so diverse that it is difficult to devise a classification scheme that includes all known fruits. Many common terms for seeds and fruit are incorrectly applied, a fact that complicates understanding of the terminology. Seeds are ripened ovules; fruits are the ripened ovaries or carpels that contain the seeds. To these two basic definitions can be added the clarification that in botanical terminology, a nut is not a type of fruit and not another term for seed, on the contrary to common terminology.

Which side that we should stand for.....They said they are the best! but we as the middle one... dont noe who ius wrong and who is right? Why they do all this? who going to protect us if they kept fought with each other?
Armstrong to return to cycling: report

TEACHING OF MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCE IN ENGLISH: Give them options
By : JANE LEE, Seremban
A non-supportive head will often close one eye if teachers choose to use bahasa rojak in class.
i agreed with what writer's says.just a simple solution...let everybody make their own dicision.it can make everybody will happy in their life.
this sad new i get from new straits time.
A gloomy Raya for family
COMMENT:
the victim are very poor.Eid just around the corner. The owner should
think about their feel before take this such act.Hamad, the victim claimed the land was jointly owned by an individual and the Penang Island Municipal Council (MPPP).
Worried parents queue for refund in China milk scandal
By Ben Blanchard
SHIJIAZHUANG, China (Reuters) - Hundreds of fraught parents queued on Tuesday outside a Chinese dairy company at the centre of a baby milk scandal, demanding explanations and compensation after more than 1,200 infants fell ill and at least two died.
Local residents stand in lines at the headquarters of the Sanlu Group to receive a refund on their milk powder products in the city of Shijiazhuang, located around 300 kilometres southwest of Beijing, September 16, 2008. (REUTERS/David Gray)
In past years, China has been beset by a series of scandals about toxic and unsafe products.

Don’t judge me, doctor
By DR ALBERT LIM KOK HOOI

Vitamin C injections slow cancer in mice: study

HIGH ALERT:
Malaysia on look-out for melamine-tainted greens imported from China
The Health Ministry alert over vegetables imported from China. The action has been taken to check on all the food products from China, like take the samples to ensure the products are safe for consumption before releasing it into market. So, then noticing that melamine-tainted food products in the country were at the permissible level of 2.5 parts per million (ppm), whilst baby products contained one ppm. That will bring harmful to costomer who bought it! So, try to be more careful when buy anything.

What is healthy body weight

The Baba Nyonya culture

Rashid admitted that their current level is far off from Lee Chong Wei and even trail Hafiz Hashim and Kuan Beng Hong, so they must grab this opportunity to become top class players
The progress shown by Julia, who finished runner-up in the Macau Open on Sunday, and Lydia, the Taiwan Open runner-up, has been encouraging but Rashid wants them to remain consistent.
Olympics project coordinator Kenny Goh will have a meeting with Yap Kim Hock, Misbun Sidek, Rexy Mainaky and Rashid tomorrow to finalise the number of players in the elite squad.
ALCOHOLIC DRINKS: Stop sale of these 'soft drinks' with alcohol
By : S.M.

Once a girl asked a boy..
"Do you think I'm pretty?"
The boy said "No"
The girl asked.. "Do you want to spend your life with me?"
The boy said.."No"
The girl asked.."Will you be sad if I go away from your life now?"
The boy said "No"
The girl had heard enough. She couldn't take it any longer. She loved the boy too much. So the girl turned around and started to walk away with tears running down her face, her silent tears blurring her vision.
But suddenly the boy grabbed her wrist from behind and gently turned her around.. kissed her....and said..
"I don't think you are pretty...you are Beautiful...
I don't WANT to spend my life with you...I NEED to spend life with you...
If you leave me now..and go away forever...I won't cry.....I’d die.."
my comments:
After i`ve read this article, it shows to me that love is unexpressed.. love is about to accept your partner as they are..to appreciate them, to be by their side all the time.. to persuade them and most of all to love them by all your heart..

Knowledge
Aisha Bewley
Knowledge is gained through learning." Abu Dharr pointed to his neck and said, "If you were to put the sword here and I thought that I could finish one sentence which I heard from the Prophet before you finished me, I would say it."
But you must take care with knowledge.
But instead you have made it your life work."
my comment:

Biofuel vs Biodiesel PDF Print E-mail

What is the different between biofuel and biodiesel?
MY COMMENT:
From what i saw many student or people confuse about boifuel and biodiesel... so i want to let all of you know what the diffrences between biofuel and biodiesel...
According to some article in the internet,
biofuel is the fuel which directly derived from biomass, biodiesel needs a special process to transform its source from the biomass to a fuel.
The largest advantage of Biofuel in comparison to most other fuel types is that the energy within the biomass can be stored for an indefinite time-period and without any danger.
The benefits of Biodiesel are:
a. Biodiesel produces approximately 80% less carbon dioxide, and almost 100% less sulphur dioxide;
b. Biodiesel, when used as an additive, improves the lubricity of ultra low sulphur diesel.
so...do not confuse between what is biofuel and boidiesel...
both are similar but different in the method of how to get it....
that all from me..
thank you..
'Return to Paradise'
Lisa gazed out over the Caribbean Sea, feeling the faint breeze against her face - eyes shut, the white sand warm between her bare toes. The place was beautiful beyond belief, but it was still unable to ease the grief she felt as she remembered the last time she had been here.
She had married James right here on this spot three years ago to the day. Dressed in a simple white shift dress, miniature white roses attempting to tame her long dark curls, Lisa had been happier than she had ever thought possible
Comment:
I love the story and it is a great reminder of how much communication can make a difference in your life.
I think this story is amazing, because when the author first mentions the man standing there i kinda thought it was her husband but then again when they sat down to talk i was sure he wasn't and then in the end it does turn out to be him....i love just love stories like this
'Staring me in the Face'
"Have you been there?"
"Been where?" I was totally dazed. From dropping my book and banging my head and everything.
"Australia, New Zealand."
I stared at him and thought again of what Mark had said about me reminding him of someone. An Australian? Maybe an ex-girlfriend or wife?
"Not such a strange question," he said. "You're old enough to have travelled there. And Katherine Mansfield, Janet Frame, are most likely in the book."
His smile crinkled up his eyes.
"No, I haven't and yes, they are," I said.
That's how it started. He asked me a question, nodded when I spoke and then asked another. I was off, talking about reading, books and all that stuff I love.
Comment:
I liked this story alot... I was dissapointed with the ending tho i just wish it would of been her father but hey its cool they are friends. I also thought it was going to be more of a love story intill the phrase Old like ur dad . But most of all this story was really good.
Very nice use of dialog to move the story along. However it felt disjointed to me and I wasn't certain where the author really wanted to go with it.
the most effective therapy is???
So my comment is :
there are many types of music such as pop, Classic, Rock, Heavy Metal and also Country Music. For me, I love all kind of music including the classic one. i used to listen to it even during my study. Music helps me a lot espesially to relief my tense during study or assigment. i agree with the article that is music can brings lots of benefits to us. So, let all of us gets the benefits from it..
TIPS ON HOW TO REDUSE YOUR STRESS
first Manage Time Wisely: It’s important to give yourself plenty of time to work on your studies if you want to do well, and you can save yourself a lot of stress if you plan ahead with good time management skills.
A regular stress management practice can reduce your overall stress level and help you to be prepared for whatever comes, you should read this article ecause it can help you a lot to reduce you stress.
my comment is:
you sholuld try the tips above.
i have try it.. it really work out..
Step1Make a realistic commitment to study and create a good time table for your self
Step2Divide the learning into short periods of time followed by a little rest after each study lesson
Step3Read by understanding instead of cramming because it may affect you during exam
Step4First look at the beginning and end of a chapter or notes and come back to the middle
Step5Carefully go over the entire chapter or notes and come back to the middle again
Step6Outline the important points and pass through them for atleast two times in order to understand them properly
Step7Since learning is enhanced when you are relaxed, take time before you start studying by stretching, walking, playing or whatever helps you to relax. This will keep your brain fresh
Step8Study in a confortable place with good environment and make enough survey about the topic so as to see how the paths relate to the whole before you start
Step9If the assighnment requires a text book for reference, try to get it in time.Review the introduction, table of contents, summaries and chapter previews and then start a serious studying
Step10In order to sustain your concetration, take notes, self test, ask questions and meet students who knows better than you for the serious discussions
Step11In order to strengthen your memory of material, ask your self how it relates to prior learning. In this way you may seek association and connection with the information you have already committed to memory
Step12Write your notes in your own words for easy understanding in times of revising
Step13Slow down when you come across material that is difficult.Istead re-read it, move on and return to it later to see if it makes more sense
Step14Review the main concepts for atleast every 10 to 15 minutes.
Assalammualaikum...

Step 1: Create a Budget
Image by someecards.comIf you have a firm sense of what you'd like to spend on Christmas gifts, it will automatically limit the time you spend playing the part of harried shopper. Here are a few things to keep in mind as you create a holiday shopping budget:
Settle on a Figure: Decide how much you want to spend overall.
Step 2: Make a List
Make a list, and check it twice. (Photo by Rodolfo Clix)The key to organization is the almighty list. Even Santa keeps one. Here's what you should keep track of on one or more holiday shopping lists:
Gift Recipient
Gift Recipient's Address if You're Shipping Gifts
Amount Budgeted per Person
Gift-Giving Ideas
Where to Buy the Gift
Whether You've Already Bought or Shipped the Gift
Make Your List Manageable
Part of staying organized is not overwhelming yourself with a list as long as Santa's.

WHAT IS GAMAT?
A NICE LOVE STORY..!!!
He met her on a party.
Having you with me is my biggest happiness for my whole life.
If I can live for the second time, still want to know you and have you for my whole life, even though I have to drink the salty coffee again".
Her tears made the letter totally wet.
Someday, someone asked her: what's the taste of salty coffee?
It's sweet. She replied.
MY COMMENT
After reading this story I was really touched.
Golf is defined in the Rules of Golf as "playing a ball with a club from the teeing ground into the hole by a stroke or successive strokes in accordance with the Rules"
The first game of golf for which records survive was played at Bruntsfield Links, in Edinburgh, Scotland, in A.D.

About fruits
